Hi and thanks for reaching out. Yes, indeed, the weather is indeed tropical...hot and humid...we live with every day. The evening can be pleasant and balmy...like it was last night. We just adjust..

Welcome!! Thanks for reaching out. I've been here since January 2023. I moved here alone, retired early at 62. I love it here. Please reach out when you arrive in Panama and ask any questions you might have.

It shouldn't...remember, Panama has very different vibes and climates. Other areas are pretty quiet. You get to choose where to settle based on your likes and dislikes. Don't despair, come for a visit and experience different areas for yourself. It's all good.

Why do I need to purchase a sim card if I already have a cell phone and carrier?

Hi, thanks for reaching out. You need a local number to do any transaction in Panama (utilities, cable etc)...You can keep your phone, just get a dual SIM card (make sure your phone has that capability).
