    Missed a few things...
    Outside there is a propane quick connect, which we have a hose for. Either Stove/Barbeque, or fire pit, which we also have.
    The RV table is removable, and the bench has two belted seats if anyone was nuts enough to come with us (bring your tent).
    The Solar panel up top seems light for supply, but we did 3 days and nights with no driving. Parked in a sunny spot we ran everything and it kept the batteries charged.
    The sink in the bathroom drops down and the tap rotates to it. Honestly, it's easier to use the kitchen sink, but the option is there.
    Also outside there are several 120v plugs, not sure if we'll use them but we shall see.
    Storage, the most important thing in a small space. We went with fixed bed rather than lift or Murphy due to this. Not needing to move things. The cabinets give permanent storage. Also, the garage below does not need to be moved.
    We'll pull everything out and show that someday, there is a fair bit hidden in that van.

    Aah, Elma did not fill the beer compartment eh Eli. So with the fridge, he he he. I guess as long as the gas tank is full.

    What made you choose Thor van over other vans like revel or storyteller? And did you go through with dealer financing? Thanks good video.

      Revel is a very nice setup, but price is quite high in Canada. Also the adjustable bedroom, while excellent for some, means less permanent storage (constantly adjusting space). Storyteller is also a good setup at a better price point, but the bathroom, and again set space was something my wife wanted. To critique the Thor, I have already changed a few basic things (through bolts for the table rather then screws, spray seal to fill gaps underneath), and sent complaints which are being dealt with by warranty(water leaks in the slide windows on the first trip, staples used to attach veneer to metal, a few other minor things).

      Another critique on the Thor. The solar was enough in summer for a few days disconnected, but once we started hitting zero C, 30% per night was used, after sipping gas for the heaters. The solar has zero chance of keeping up. Still, great for a foray van, but don't spend a week boondocking in the winter.@@AdventurewithEliElma-gx7jm

    When camping at a park with city water can you connect it and leave it connected, or is it only for filling?

    • @eli-ye3qi1cx5x
      @eli-ye3qi1cx5x 6 місяців тому +1

      We have a regulator and hose, and there is a city connection on the van, but most times we just run with whats in the tank, with a 4 gallon jug as backup. Many sites in Canada do not have the city hook up for water. To use the shower you really need the city hook up, shower uses the lion share of the water. You do leave it connected if it's available, and do not use your pump (the pressure from city water is sufficient, but do make sure to add the regulator). We have been winter sites lately, and just bring water with us after the temps went below zero.
      I will likely look for a city hook up site when we do our rinse from winterizing. It being our first year with the van, that will show any leaks or drip points. We have been out with it at -15 and been just fine. Used about half a tank of propane with no electricity, and then did 3 nights at the same temps with a powered site (small ceramic heater on low all night).

      Thanks for the reply. Do you have a generator or the inverter with power pack? Is the generator a must have option? I’m not sure the newer models even have them as an option anymore, could be wrong though

      @rhettdepol4629 Inverter and battery is all we have, plus a solar panel. We are not heavy consumers so have been 4 days with no hookup and still over 50% battery. Winter is different, batteries drain 30% on the cold nights with very little turned on, we look for sites with electricity then.
      Generators are not must haves, there really is no space for them anyway if you are like us and fill every corner with toys ;)
