Coming from the region *technically* in the local dialect it would be pronounced Dunch like crunch (the sound of smugglers failing a DEX roll :P) but Im with Geoffrey here Dunnich is the acceptable pronunciation.
Art’s accents are on point. This crew in general is pretty solid at all kinds of accents, though their Americans tend to lean a bit too hard into their ARrs. But that’s a common issue. Like Americans trying to do an English accent combining different social classes.
yeah, the way they put it didn't make a lot of sense. But maybe they mainly meant swimming is something everyone in Australia does, as a pastime. UK's beaches don't seem as inviting to me (maybe less frightening in terms of sharks, venomous octopuses, etc though)
Interesting tension created by the impression that Jackson is almost as much in the dark about what is going on in Dunwich - past or present or perhaps parallel - as the investigators. I can sense James and Dave almost desperately restraining themselves from trying to grab the Keeper Screen to find out just what is going on and read what Jackson has yet to discover in the scenario background material. Being unprepared or appearing to be unprepared as a Keeper adds a feeling of „driving at night in fog without headlights, with only an old map of the unfamiliar countryside…“
an interesting question which caused me to ask - when did coins start to be dated in Britain? ---- google revealed this - What was the first dated British coin? A Short History of English Coins ::: Edward VI succeeded to the throne in 1547 and issued base silver coins, shillings which were the first English coins to bear a date, shown in Roman numerals, MDXLIX for 1549, MDL for 1550 and MDLI for 1551. So as this scenario does time hopping back before the 10th century (?) they are unlikely to have any dates... but isnt all some bottle universe illusion anyway?
I was imaging the coins in their pockets would be from the characters time and dated. Silver and gold coins would be worth their weight. Maybe bubble world people have no curiosity?
Stop. Talking. Over. Each. Other. Ok? Good. Now say it with me… stop talking over each other! Ha, that was a trick! Stop it. Please. It ruins the roleplaying and the awesome nature of this adventure.
Got to love it. The most sane character sounds like he has gone off the deep end. Only wonderful things can come of this.
I'm so happy they pronounced it "Dunnich."
That sounds good, dunnit?
@@larsdahl5528 I think tha's spelled dunnwit. 😛

I really need me a sannich right now. 🥪
Oh look: it is a campaign starting out as the smugglers from Saltmarsh!! 🤣
This crew is so good. Best TTRPG crew on Twitch.
Art does such a convincing posh English accent - excellent!

Nice to see Jackson being the keeper
I love gaslight, such a great setting! Great job Jackson!
the absolute rollercoaster dave went thru after that sanity crit LMAO
England is a good bit more surrounded by water than Australia. The logic of the swimming bit escapes me.

Ah! Groundhog day but Cthulhu! :D love it muahahaha
I have to say, I do like these more historical ones, than the modern ones.

Is that what was going on?
bit late to the comments for this, but moaning about the low swim scores when its 18 fecking 95 made me laugh...
What's the date on those coins?

Let's do the time warp again.
Unholy crap! There's a REAL town called Dunwich, in Old England instead of New? Had no idea HPL didn't just make the name up.
as with most north american towns everywhere, they're almost all just transplanted english or french ones.
Some of the cities even have "new" add to the front, New Amsterdam for instance.
Bury St Esmunds Bury is pronounced more like Berry
