I remember when I first started watching cats down countdown, as an American who had never heard of Harriet but seen a tiny bit of Sean, i actually for the longest time thought she was Sean’s daughter😂😂 I love their energy together she’s just the right amount of dumb and weird for Sean! I wish he was still around to see them interact a bit more!
Sean lock getting constable warms my heart 😊 He plays a good role and would never have admitted it but i know 100% he would have been chuffed with that and i love seeing him happy.
Ok but for real it hilarious how none of them got the easy first one. 100x3 = 300 8+7 = 15 300-15 =285 Like Jimmy could not have been more right on how easy it was.
I thought Sean and Harriet should've made a show where the daughter moved back in with the father. Either of two reasons, daughter gets divorced or father quits 'living' after the mother died.
@@billjames8036 I remember that and wondering if she was the absolutely clueless, or if she's doing a bit of a character like people sometimes do. Don't think anyone in the comments was sure either.
It's always funny when a comedian does a routine about politics or budgets or anything like that and go back and see if they can solve the easy countdown maths...
Harriet is the most annoying contestant of all time. Which is quite the achievement because I have nothing bad to say about anyone else that has ever been on the show.
I love how Rachel casually makes "Clone" above "Stab"... or maybe its passive aggressively rather than casually 😂
She's getting flashbacks to the Jedi purge.
Oh she was rubbing it in for sure. She moved it purposefully to clone. Devastating passive aggression.
She actually does things like that quite regularly. If she can make words out of the spare letters, she'll arrange them too.
Did anyone else notice beacons l_t?
@@NoSlowinDown”THE BEACONS ARE L_T! Gondor calls for a_d!”
I love how excited Susie gets for nine letter words. She must see them really quickly and hope that someone else sees them
Miles and Sean and Harriet and Sean are complete opposite ends of the spectrum and I love them both
Miles and Sean were truly a great duo.
Alan Carr had a vicious retort with "being with you is a disadvantage! "
The easiest maths round they ever did was 101 and Catherine failed on that one too.
Yes, I recall watching that clip.
I love Catherine, But she's not the brightest bulb.
It was clearly a joke when she couldn't get 101 😊 @@BarbusCraft
Was it tho @@FyoreKyorda

Yeah he was our Norm MacDonald 😢
I teach 5th grade and I introduced the letters game and the numbers game to my students and they LOVE it! It keeps them on their toes.
does Joe Wilkinson pop up from time to time?
@@ivansimic3277 that would be very problematic 😂

I would love to see this show put on UA-cam the same way Taskmaster is.
There are some seasons of it on Prime.
@@billjames8036 Oh I'm fairly certain I've consumed...a majority of the scraps & old episodes that can be dug up!
@@mordicaiknode I remember watching full episodes here.
@@Ron-d2s there are some unofficial accounts with a decent amount of the older seasons, yeah!
@@mordicaiknode I'm sorry, I honestly apologize for interacting with you.
„being with you is a disadvantage” ouch, Alan, that was a burn :D
In Catherine's defense, you *CAN* get to 285 with 75 x 3 as a starting point:
75 x 3 = 225
225 + 100 = 325
7 - 2 = 5
8 x 5 = 40
325 - 40 = 285
You can. And I probably could too. There's no way Catherine ever would.
@@-_James_- Haha. Point taken.
@@-_James_-yeah she has same mental arithmetic capabilities of a toddler
LMAO nice
Well done!
I love Miles and Sean together. They gave such married couple vibes, it's lovely
"I love the way you've had that smeared 🙂"🤣
I love how confident Sean was, and he got it wrong 😂
Damn, I miss Sean!!
I miss Dad too.
He was great.
He was the greatest ❤
I do look back at some these old clips and sometimes wonder when he knew
God I miss Sean. His wit and energy were unique.
It was perfect how Sean looks back when Alan gets awarded seven as a courtesy to his eighteen, going "WHAT?!"
I thought you had to use every number. So I was very confused how they thought the first one was so easy 😅
Ok but for real it hilarious how none of them got the easy first one.
100x3 = 300
8+7 = 15
300-15 =285
Like Jimmy could not have been more right on how easy it was.
Imo thats harder than the easiest way. 2×100 + 75 + 3 + 7
@@ethanderrick8486 Exactly, which is how Jon got it.
The easiest way would have been (100/(8+2))×7×3+75.
What did you do with the 2?
Wait.. you don't need to use all the numbers?
I must not have seen this episode because I don't remember that 9. I remember the slidey-faced pie, though.
It also showed up in their 9-letter-words compilation
Sean proving why stick to the rules is important..
Now, now Alan, there's no need to be horrible to Catherine ❤🎉❤
2:15 Even easier to just multiply 100 x 3, then subtract (7 + 8). That uses fewer numbers.
I thought Sean and Harriet should've made a show where the daughter moved back in with the father. Either of two reasons, daughter gets divorced or father quits 'living' after the mother died.
Love Sean, but that 9 was 100% setup by him seeing the remaining five letter in the order after 'stab'.
Yeah it’s a tv show mate
@@jasonbutlin4027no mate, this is a UA-cam video 🙄
I was incredibly proud of myself for getting the first number one and even jimmy fucking carr is saying it's easy
(Ignore this, this is for myself.)
3:22 (100 x 8) - (10 x 8 + 1) = 719
5:50 7 - beacons, 9 - constable
This belongs to all of us now
And I did the first one entirely different 😂 100x3-7-8
On the 719 you could do (100-10)*8-1 also for one fewer 8 used.
I've often wondered, was Sean Lock the Lemmy Kilmister of Cats Does Countdown?
I'm sure there was an episode where the total to get was 101.
There was and Catherine only got 100.
@@billjames8036 I remember that and wondering if she was the absolutely clueless, or if she's doing a bit of a character like people sometimes do. Don't think anyone in the comments was sure either.
Alan's show Chatty Man could have just as easily been Catty Man
Shame Sean didn't get that 9 against Jon..
It wouldn't have stood
poor sean was dragged to their level with the first one
Is there anywhere in the US that i could stream whole episodes of this?
its literally on youtube, just search it.
It’s on Britbox.
Wow Sean got a nine and John wasn’t there
0:35
7 - 2 = 5
100 / 5 = 20
75 + 20 = 95
95 x 3 = *285*
3:20
8 x 100 = 800
other 8 x 10 = 80
800 - 80 - 1 = *719*
5:35
*"constable"!* Holy s(...), that's a 9.
You only need one 8. 100-10=90. 90×8=720. 720-1=719.
The Harriette/Locke team was the best, i think she honestly unbalanced him with her charm. RIP Sean.
Kind of worrying they couldnt get those math ones.
smeared
🤭😈
Why did she change the numbers?
Cause it's humorous to bully Joe a bit for being bad in the maths game.
I doubt there's a rule against "too easy" tasks in the numbers
hello old dead Sean, one day channel 4 will let you be free
I went 100×3 -7-8
Second one 800-80-1
