Agree.there is SO much information and insight in this short clip. In addition to Baryshnikov's words which affirm Eric Conrad's teaching and commentary I noticed the female body shapes seen in the academy and company classes are much different to those of today. I think Eric has already spoken in regard to this issue previously. Great clip - so enjoyable to see 'young' Misha speaking about his training. Thanks for sharing
As I watched this, it came to mind that another great dancer, and contemporary of Misha's (and Kevin McKenzie), that we never hear from is Cynthia Gregory. What a pity.
"It's the work" and "to be a man of your own mind" are sentiments you hear over and over from great artists.
He is an real artist
