My homeboy put me on to your channel. Even as a union electrician I still like keeping the knowledge cuz sometimes I go thru a phase of not bending conduit and get rusty. Keep doing your thing man
Well I'm glad he put you on to my channel. Yea we all go through that part of getting rusty for not bending conduit for a while. But if you stay on top of the calculations here and there or at least keep the multipliers and calculations on your phone or write them down then you'll always be good. You'll never really forget, it'll come back to you after you start up again. Some people it comes back quicker then others but it always come back to you. If you ever have any questions you can post them in my Discord community, i always try to answer asap. I'm really trying to build a community for electricians that want to step up their game on conduit bending and anything electrically related. Anyway i'lll post the link below to my Discord if you are interested. Thanks again. discord.gg/8EqpP6bJ

I like the trick for extending the two lines to find the exact center of bend-that seems pretty handy. Would probably skip all the math to figure out the exact angle of bend and just use my $30 Klein angle meter to measure it instead if I could.
Thanks for the tip. That's another way of doing it. The method I show you is good for when you want to find the exact degree. There are plenty of times I've gotten on a job site and have to match these old offset bends that were not bent using standard degrees. I've seen offsets bent to all different types of degrees. This method is great when you encounter those situations. Hope this helps. Thanks again for the tip and most of all for the comment. How would I bend another piece of conduit exactly the same as the one you have in the video? Would I use the notch when bending once I've figured out the rise and center-to-center marks?
Say it’s a 3/4” conduit.. bend a scrap piece of 3/4” conduit at the same angle and mark your center point on your conduit like he did in the video.. then put your conduit back in the bender and transfer that center mark onto your bender. Now you will have your center mark on your bender for that specific degree :) then what you have to do is measure the existing bent conduit from the edge of the pipe to the center mark… say it’s 18” to the first mark and 20” between bends.. Mark 18” on your piece of pipe from the edge of your conduit and then 20” from your 18” mark. Now what you do is bend those marks on the line you created on your bender :) hope that makes sense!
Once you figure out the degree of existing offset. You just do a regular offset with the degree you just solved. Use the arrow as you normally would. You're just trying to find the degree of the existing offset that's it. The rest is the same as usual.
Well about the distance tho between the bends ?? If there's and irregular angle that you went through all the math to find but you still dont know the multiplying it by???

What if it’s a rolling offset
it's still the same thing . it's an offset just measure it accordingly
