Right? I knew I wasn't the only one who caught that. Especially since they went the extra mile to detail and paint the wheel wells! Still a fantastic job!!
We mentioned on one of the previous comments, the boots have some undercoating and will take some scrubbing to get that off. We are concerned about breaking or tearing the boots since they are very brittle with their age
but one thing im sure what wasnt shown is the preloading of the suspension bushing so expect them already brittle and the person to come back with a noisy clunky suspension
Love and respect you guys work and projects. Without question this is the golden era of Honda from and OEM and quality aftermarket parts and design. Really love your shop setup as well.
MASTERFULLY done! That CRX looks STUNNING! Thank you for rescuing this beauty. BTW I would love to see some driving videos of these cars after they are done. Heck you could do a whole other channel just highlighting the beauty and driving experiences of the amazing projects after you are done. I for one would love to see more of these cars and it would be a great way to introduce new enthusiasts to prime examples of these amazing machines.
As a former owner of a 1988 CRX, I absolutely love this car. I remember wanting the Si in either yellow or black when it was available, but couldn’t afford it. One of the best cars I’ve ever owned. Yours looks amazing.
The wash segment reminded me of the carwash on Gran Turismo 4, lol. Love the content, and as always, the detail is second to none. You guys do it all! It's hard getting quality regular maintenance done...you guys always go above and beyond. ❤
I was wondering what seat rail did you use? I try looking at pci but only saw that they only have side mounted seats. Since those recaros are mounted on the bottom.
Looks amazing! I have a restored 1989 crx myself. One thing I did slightly differently was the master cylinder. I used a larger master from a 1991 ex sedan, which is a direct replacement, and slight upgrade to the stock one found in these cars
This has been such a fun project to watch! You guys have done an amazing job on this thing 🙌🏼 I can’t wait to see this go back home to the owner and see this with his lineup of other amazing Hondas 👌🏼
Hotdang!!! I had three CRX's..God I miss them... A flamingo black pearl EE8 VTEC with a B16a1, Milano Red ED9 with a D16A8 and that bulge on the hood, Green CRX Del Sol with a B16a2❤ Beautiful and unique cars which you don't see often anymore... Great Channel btw👍🏻👍🏻
Why didn't you clean the sleeve on the shock?? Ugh. Would have taken 5 seconds. Great build. I'm jealous. I always wanted a 1986 CR-X Si, in black with the rotary dial wheels. Friend of mine I knew when I was in college had one. Drove it once. Brings back memories. So easy to work on considering how simple they were.
Had one just like it. These have aged really well, but for some reason didn't suit me as well as my Toyota's of the time so I only had it a couple years.
@@ahcgarage anyone thats worked in a shop knows even on something you love there is too much risk with trying to clean up vintage parts. Thats exactly what i thought when i saw you assemble. Old rubber and plastic no thanks, put it back together bau
Even factory Exaust sounds good. Everything was super good, Until it got to the spoiler part. Not fan of putting hole on a old rare car like this. Fantastic video, it covers range of DYI in it.
Beyond excited to finally get this thing home. @PaintSociety @AHC Garage. this car is an important one in my collection and will be cherished for years to come!

Killed it!! Loved seeing the end result on this Crx!! That RSR exhaust has me feeling some type of way, that was an amazing find!!
Very Nice recaro seat there! Great project...
Thank you! Cheers!

Marvelous job. Love the RECAROs. Wish I never sold my ‘89 Y49. 😢😢😢.
Mike and how many people knew the Honda Prelude came in Barbados Yellow back in 88 and 89👍
Yes, one of the best yellow in the Honda's lineup

Well done, the CRX is looking lovely.
Many thanks!
Perfection. Nice work guys!
I put the Eibach Springs and Koni Yellow combo on a lot of cars back in the day. Rode as good as stock but handled a lot better.
Man awesome work as always, I would take a major cut in pay just to go work in that shop
Thanks 👍

I love those old CRX's. You put $5 in gas and drive all day, they got about 40 to 50 miles a gallon.

Where do you think the origin of the rear spoiler? :-)

Should have cleaned and shampooed the interior before you put the new seats in. You had access to everything and it would have been quick.

nope, joining my collection of old and slow Honda's and Acura's.
But why not clean the rubber covering that goes over the shock?! Ugh! Killing my OCD.
Good catch. It has some undercoating and will take a lot to clean that off. We afraid it will break or split since the rubber is very brittle.
