Great video. Nobody else has done a before and after with just the intake. 40hp is insane. It took them 30 years, but Subaru finally made an engine that can compare to the Evo's 4G63. I love my VB!
Hell no, best bolt on for the VB is a pitch stop. Holy shit 1st and 2nd are ROUGH. But hey, I’m not complaining about that sick torque ratio. Just gotta tame it is all 😅
Yes and no, as far as I know there’s no official tunes for the WRX cvt, only possible way to “tune” right now is with the JB4, and I use tune lightly because all you’re doing with it is tricking the ECU not actually changing anything. If you install the intake you would have to change some parameters in the JB4, that way it’s safer for the motor to not run too lean. I’ve had my JB4 on my car for about 2 weeks and it’s been great, however I would love to see official tunes for it tho that’s probably a few years away.
@Dylan VB WRX I have second resonator delete ets mid pipe aeroflowdynamic axel backs and ets intake would the jb4 be able to dial this on my cvt wrx 22 not crazy numbers just so it runs relatively safe and more reliable
If you keep the insert in, you can run an ots map, but you’d benefit more from a custom tune. Or even our flash tune with the maf cal for the ETS intake.
Not at this time. Fuel consumption is abnormally high for a dev car. It has been getting beat on both the dyno and the track and very rarely gets driven in a “normal” way at the moment.
I have the ETS intake and a Protune, I drive 113 miles to Shop for work once a week on the way to work Im usually in a hurry and avg 20.5 -23 mpg on the way home I do 75-80 mph and get 30-33 depending on traffic jams.
Hey Gregory, I have had some more time to monitor fuel consumption and am happy to report that it seems pretty decent. I've been averaging around 26mpg (not taking it easy, and mostly city driving). I reset everything for my drive out to the race track the other day and averaged 34mpg for the almost entirely highway drive. Average was 21 after the track day, and due to a lack of brakes, I have not been able to test further since then.
The updated ETS intake can be installed on a CVT, but at this time, we cannot tune a CVT as Cobb has not released software yet. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later!

You made my day with that laugh 😂 brother 👏🏽🫡
Is it worth replacing the intake if i dont want to run stage2? Debating just replacing the intake and exhaust.
I
I came to say this but see you beat me to it
Time to try a new OTS map!

What are we seeing with exhaust, ETS intake and a tune with 91 pump gas? Appreciate it!
I took mine out put in a k&n and i use 2 gallons of e85 to a takn of 93 and im at 15psi boost. I need a tune soon😊
Man.( 91 oct + ETS?), will you do any map ots?
Whomever produced this is a god damned genius.
a portable mic would elevate your channel !!!
22 Cvt wrx can't be tuned with the ets intake ?¿

JB4 can adjust the fueling enough "tune" for the intake
@@DylanVBWRX would it be able to "tune" for the exhaust to mid pipe to axel back ?
@@AntonioHernandez-bp3mx we have people with and without CVT fbo and intake I can tune or make adjustments for anything with the JB4.

Where are you located?
This extra hp from intake was from a stock engine ?
Yes! A totally stock engine, it is our first bolt on. The car is running a tune and E-30 fuel, but that's it!
With an ETS intake and Cobb Accessport, do i need to get a protune?
Or is Accessport sufficient?
If you keep the insert in, you can run an ots map, but you’d benefit more from a custom tune. Or even our flash tune with the maf cal for the ETS intake.
@@TMTMS3 thanks! I rather maximize power. Where can I get more info on the services you provide?
Is the ets intake with the sleeve safe on a stock tune and pump gas
Yes it is. The sleeve was designed to work safely without a tune.
How much do you guys charge for a 2022 wrx etune?
Hey Giovanni, check out this link here!

fbo with e30 should be seeing 400 ?
You better believe we are going to find out!
what about fuel consumption , can you provide any data after the modification?

Can this be done on a cvt and the tune it too?

@@EdgeAutosport i do appreciate the information and yes I’m waiting on Cobb for the cvt. I’ll keep watching your videos. Thanks again
