@@flpmd3419 Interesting comment. I replayed that part of the video in slow-motion and there was a horizontal line in the wood before the bullet hit, and that line is where the wood broke. Presumably, that the wood was weaker at this line. Open question how that line got there. Was it from prior repeater shots at the target the wood was holding up, or whether he or someone else deliberately weakened it for visual effect. I’m going to go with it was due to an accumulation of repeated shots on the target, but that’s my positive outlook on humanity talking.
@@adamesd3699 it was a fresh steel plate but the wooden post is used. Presumably from some amount of rounds shot against it, it was weakened and formed a small split in the middle. It would've still held up against smaller calibers but the 4bore had so much energy transfer that the small split tore it apart.
@@Killbayne Even if the wood post wasn’t damaged, the 4 bore would have likely snapped the wood due to how much energy the thing has behind it. If it can vaporize a ballistic gel head behind hard body armor (and turn soft body armor into something arguably worse than the bullet itself), then it can surely snap a pole in half.

For those that don’t know, it’s called a stopping rifle. It’s for when a rhino or bull elephant is charging you and you have one shot to not become a grease spot. From the black powder era when the only way to get more stopping power was bigger and bigger projectiles

My guy survived a 50 cal accident and now he is back with this monstrosity. The balls on this man.
BONE SAWED HIS RIBCAGE???
thats why i like blades they don't blow up on you
They're brass. He's an Irish lad whose name is "Ballz O'Brass".
"Look at that hole! I gotta get bigger thumbs!"
I can see Scott deciding to remove the A-10 from a GAU-8 30mm cannon and attach himself instead.
What a sacrifice of your shoulder. I had to subscribe. from Korea.
this man and his dad are absolute beasts, his dad is an amazing dad for telling his son a technique for health like that. And scott is cool for managing to survive a 50 cal accident (which i've had before, lemme tell you. It wasn't that bad but oh man it is not fun.)
What happened to you? Bad ammo?? Because I plan on buying .50 soon
Your recovery is absolutely incredible Scott, but your dedication is even more remarkable. To be able to shoulder-fire rifles that would throw a lesser man across the range from a seated position should be an inspiration to everyone.
07:25 It is amazing how the board didn't even tilt or really move at all except just flying serenly backwards in an upright position. An absolute unit.
They cut the wood, that why it fly.
@@flpmd3419huh?
If it can vaporize a ballistic gel head behind hard body armor (and turn soft body armor into something arguably worse than the bullet itself), then it can surely snap a pole in half.
wow that says a lot about the body and recovery you have given me some hope that i can overcome my own addiction and get better and stronger, thank you.
One week down, feels like a month has passed. Horrible Detox withdrawals. (alcohol is so horrible.) But I did it. Now my body already feels so much better. Just one week made such a difference. No one cares, but just looking back on this video and remembering my post and then seeing your own transformation has actually given me motivation and hope. Thank you
Can we just appreciate how Scott almost died and has made like 5 different T-shirts and even a trophy about the incident, dude is a trooper

Seeing the 2x4 break from that 4 bore round and being carried that far was the most satisfying thing I ever saw. 🤩
I like how it stripped the paint XD
That was amazing.
I'm abusing your replay button... 😁
Agreed!!
Can’t believe it’s been 2 years since your unfortunate incident! I am so happy that you’re doing so much better brother Scott 🙏🏻
Yup his father quick reaction and doctors saved his life.
Without I’m sure he would be dead! No prayers helped him. Quick reaction, smarts, and and people on job at the hospital did.
Thank them
Wow does not nearly feel like 2 years ago
Feels like it was last month!
@@kubel83 How can you say prayers didn't help? Do you know that for certain? No
@@thomvaan2845 pretty easy actually cause I just said it. Can you say prayers worked? No.
What do you think would have happened if he had been alone when the accident happened? He would have bled out and died.
However he wasn’t alone. His dad was there with him, threw him in the car and drove like mad max to the hospital while keeping pressure on the wounds. Also called the hospital so they could get prepared for surgery the very min they arrived.
So I ask you again. Did prayers do that? No.
Quick action and response, plus amazing doctors at the hospital working around the clock to save him.
But hey if that is to complicated to grasp then go ahead and say prayers saved him.
Whatever works for you🥴👍

And he has a new Turret!
For those that don’t know, it’s called a stopping rifle. It’s for when a rhino or bull elephant is charging you and you have one shot to not become a grease spot. From the black powder era when the only way to get more stopping power was bigger and bigger projectiles
Do you think the elephant or rhino kick as hard as this thing? 😆
Thank you, sir.
Excellent prairie dog round as well.
Stop being rifle is a very appropriate name for it I don't think Mutch is going to take a hit from it and keep coming. Appreciate the history behind the gun I didn't know anything about it this is the first I've ever heard of one. But stopping rifle is a very appropriate name.
you have alot of rhino and elephant in Kentucky
Holy smokes! So glad to hear about you having such a full recovery!
Need to use this with one of those realistic ballistic torsos. Would love to see it!
Oh yeah, for sure
It absolutely blows me away that you were able to hold on to that behemoth of a rifle when firing. Excellent work.
Ain't nuthin, try the 4 bore five shot revolver.
I think I would prefer this as a swivel gun.

Isn't it insane that Scott's rifle accident happened *two years* ago? Time flies. And here he is- shooting something even bigger.
Forgotten Weapons once featured a 2 Bore Rifle on his channel, man I would pay good money to see Scott shoot that.
This rifle is so absurd that Scott didn't even have to think of a bit for the intro. The gun itself makes people laugh. 😂
I can’t believe you fired that rifle so many times. Any other mere mortal would have a dislocated shoulder, but somehow you handled it very well. I can’t believe it’s been two years since your accident, glad you’re here. Also I think you should shoot a ballistic dummy with it.
The ballistic dummy would be vaporized!! 😆😆😆
Definitely would be a sight to see!😉
its been 2 years, man im gettin old

So good to see you lift that 400 lbs,you set a goal and achieved it!!!After I watched this video I showed my kids all about your accident and then explained why what you said at the beginning of this video meant so much!!!You are an inspiration my friend!!Thank you!!
Imagine breaking into a house and once inside, you hear a "what's up everybody, my name is Scott and you're watching Kentucky Ballistics"
Hearing that you've fully recovered and got that 400lb bench press put a stupid big grin on my face, I'm really happy to hear you're doing so well, I was extremely worried when I first heard about that injury.
On another note, holy crap that's a big rifle hahahaha
Scott, The fact that you kept making videos after your traumatic accident is really inspirational. I love the fact that you didn't let that stop you and you just kept going, Rock on Scott you're the best!

At those energies, the plate is what ends up penetrating your torso.
