The Panthers will not be successful as long a Tepper is involved. He was part of the Steelers ownership, and saw how Haslem has struggled with the Browns. If Reich quits or gets fired who will want to deal with on a day to day basis

Which means they played better under *Jeff **_Saturday!_* Let *that* sink in for a while. Why? Because the Panthers won with Baker Mayfield & _Sam _*_Darnold_* & again, Reich came in, called the plays & the same o-line that won games with less talent was then coached on how to play worse by Reich who *has coaches* that are supposed to do the opposite! He can't keep from undermining himself & his teams. But no, while no one wants to deal with Tepper, he isn't the worst owner. Look at the Browns who have made it clear that _they think_ Watson is a criminal. Jim Irsay, Jerry Jones. How did the Titans happen to hire another GM as inept as the last one who lost them A.J. Brown for absolutely nothing? How about Harbaugh having to defend OC Greg Roman who flushed three years of an MVP QB in his prime away? Dealing with owners isn't strictly a Carolina thing. Who decided to trade away two of Washington's best defensive players?

The Texans were the Panthers not very long ago. They traded a ton of picks for Laremy Tunsil and lost the rest of their talent to the point it was just Watson and Tunsil. Then they realized trading Watson was the only way out. The difference is the Texans were able to get a haul for Watson. Nah, you gotta give it time, it does suck and correct, Tepper needs to get his ass out of the operations and player eval and trust his guys. Give Bryce time, he will come around, the NFL is HARD bro, he will be good.
Tepper is a hedge fund guy, and they tend to think they're the smartest guys on every subject. Plus he's filthy rich. I don't see him hiring a competent football guy and butting out. He's going to be Jerry Jones on steroids.
As a Texans fan we been though the bad years with Esterby, until we got rid of him. I feel sorry for Bryce Young, hope Panthers get it right next year. Hope Tepper let peoples know NFL run the team.
The duality of man is burning hot inside me with my takes on Bryce young One side says: why would anyone use the 1st pick on a smaller slower Kyler Murray? The other says: in 2020 we saw a QB drafted who struggled early whilst the QB drafted immediately after him broke rookie passing records and had the best rookie QB season ever. We should pump the brakes on the bust talk because Tua turned out alright
I have a feeling things will be bleak for a long time in Carolina. Owner meddling is likely the root cause. The team gave away too much to get Bryce Young and it'll take years to replenish through the draft. They would have likely been far better off staying put in the draft, grabbing Will Levis and doing their best to develop him while keeping their draft picks in the future. Not saying Levis is the answer, but they wouldn't have surrendered craft capital to get him.
Think the issue is that jobs are on the line. If the front office can’t put up immediate results, then they’ll likely get fired. That’s why we see so many teams trade so much future draft picks for what seems to be immediate gains imo
Bryce doesn’t have the physical tools like a Kyler Murray or Russel Wilson. You can’t be small and unathletic with an average arm and succeed. If we wanted a pure pocket passer we should’ve drafted Stroud. If we needed a guy who could threaten defenses with his arm and legs it should’ve been AR. Bryce’s claim to fame was he could extend plays and perform off script well. Well that’s hard to do when everyone around you is bigger, faster, and stronger. Which will not change.
Bryce is a dual threat, he has immaculate anticipation so he doesn’t have to run or doesn’t allow himself to much. He also has a great arm given the passes he’s thrown at bama. Please stop creating false narratives
@@coolraygamingif he’s a dual threat I have yet to see it. He has below average speed for his height and weight. And his arm is below average as well. The only threat he poses is getting whoever decided to draft him, fired.
Thing is he performed off script at Alabama while simultaneously was in a situation where everyone was already open with a wide gap in seperation gained by his receiving targets. I thought it was an awful pick at the time & didn't have him as a 1st Rd pick.
Panthers are now the Texans... the Texans are now the hot up-coming team... Panthers kept thinking "just one year away" since Rivera had a falling apart Cam Newton... all the way through the Rhule era... and still now. Let players go to places they'll compete. @@obamadidyourmom giants getting a dose of Gettleman was difficult to watch. As another team that went through "hog mollies and mini vans", condolences.
One of the keys to his success at Alabama was using his elusiveness to find passing lanes, and you can’t do that as well in the NFL. He’s going to be an okay quarterback, but he wasn’t one to mortgage a franchise’s future over.
Bro just look at the film in the background, he’s getting to his dropbacks so freaking late, that’s why he never has time to throw because he’s never READY to throw his arm isn’t big enough to be parallel to the LOS at the release point, I’m guessing he doesn’t that to see the rush and see the field better because of his height?
This is why Tepper needs to just stick to the financial part of football. Let the football people do the football stuff; Tepper would just fit the bill.
Steve Wilks should stayed as the HC. Foreman was awesome last season with Hubbard, why not bring him back? Also, Young might be counted as a bust cause look at what Stroud had in Houston. At least I can name Thielen, Hurst, and Chark. Like did I seriously thought Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and even Noah Brown were gonna be who they are right now? Obviously not, but Stroud has made this offense awesome to watch.
i mean tbf on Collins, he coulda been this good all along, but he had Davis Mills the past 2 years and i think Noah Brown was a cowboys WR so he wasnt gonna get more touches than Lamb, and these past 2 seasons he's played his best football. Put that with a mix of a massive upgrade in QB at Stroud and u have what you got rn. The way this played out for the texans, from Lovie winning them the last game and that netted them the better QB and Will Anderson, shit just worked for them way better than Carolina.

Texans fan here, I feel sorry for Young. It's reminiscent of what the Texans did to David Carr. Brought in a #1 pick but did not give him a solid team to back him up. If Stroud was #1 pick, I think I would be praising Young to my co-workers.
When you think about the position this team was in only eight years ago, you can really only question what went wrong and can’t help but pity their situation.
I miss the good old days. I can remember fans saying they didn't like Cam's wardrobe and thought it would be better to get rid of him for something else. It looks like what they wished for was way worse.
It's starting to appear that Tepper is wrecking this franchise on purpose so fan support will dwindle and will give him an excuse to move the team in a few years.
It makes no sense. Panthers aren’t a “small market” team. NC+SC is the 5th most populous area in the US. They are just not Panthers fans because we can’t win.
I’m more shocked Sanders hasn’t done more than how poorly Young is doing. Young showed on tape his footwork goes to hell when he feels pressure and has to go to his second read. Good news is it can be corrected. Dalton should’ve started from day 1 and taken the hits to start and see what the line looked like before throwing an undersized rookie out there. Young’s size limits the playbook because it isn’t advantageous for him to line up under center. That can’t be corrected unless Bryce grows an extra couple inches

The rumor is that the new owner Tepper demanded they draft a franchise QB immediately, before they'd even identified who they liked best. With that mandate, the GM basically did what he was told and gave up what he had to give up to get the deal done before it could turn into a bidding war. Unfortunately they had to trade DJ Moore after they'd already traded McCaffrey, leaving them with no major weapons to help Young.
@@thevoxdeus yeah man, they gave up a TON of picks, and DJ Moore to get dude, sheesh, not surprised Chicago took that. No bad team is 1 player away, you need at least top 12 player at your key positions to make the playoffs.

What Talents? Sam Ghost Buster Darnold is a better QB than Bryce? Gotta stop all this "most rookies...." talking points. You don't draft somebody first overall because they've got a hot name and they're objectively NOT better than what ya had.
With who? Who wants to play for the Panthers that's actually good? Who wants to coach for the Panthers and deal with David Tepper. Our real problem is at the top and isn't going anywhere soon.
The Panthers' franchise really has collapsed since Cam Newton broke down towards the end of the 2018 season. They may be another example ofnnust how difficult it can be to have to move on and replace your franchise quarterback.
I couldn’t believe how idiotic the trade was when it was reported. It had to be a April first joke. Bryce is a good guy but to give up all these first and second round picks and their best receiver has to be the stupidest move not only in nfl but sports period.
They should probably start Andy to not destroy Bryce's confidence and trade a 1st and 2nd and a wr for burns maybe the raiders, Seahawks, 49ers,broncos,chargers,Lions
Stroud was always going to Houston. Texans would have moved down to #1 if they thought another team was going to pick him. Carolina just worked out in their favor.
Of course Bryce gets all these excuses. Yet before the season started everyone was saying the opposite. They were saying Bryce is so much better and that CJ is a bust because he went to OSU. Bryce is going to the better situation and CJ is going to one of the worst teams in the NFL. Now they wanna say Stroud is good because of his WRs. 😂 Give the man his damn flowers.
We stink, and we're going to stink until each component of the organization gets on the same page. Ownership, Admin, GM, personnel, coaches, players. You can't have a coach who wants one player, and an owner who forces a man-child down his throat. Frank isn't a good coach, but he was handicapped with Tepper as an owner, then he hired some worthless arrogant coaches, most notably James Campen, who couldn't coach an offensive line worse if he LITERALLY didn't come to the stadium. It's a crummy team. Has been for years now.
Except against LSU and GA who had LBs and DL who were also NFL caliber....those two defenses made Bryce look just the way he looks now in the NFL and people are surprised.

5:22 Bryce has never been allowed to throw 54 passes in a game. His closest was a 25/41 performance that netted him a better completion percentage then Dalton. Dalton's net yards per pass was 6.22, while Bryce's was 6.0. Bryce even threw for one more touchdown (3) but he did have 2 interceptions. To say Dalton was 'slinging the rock' and imply Bryce wasn't putting up similar stats is very misleading. I'm glad you pointed out overall tho that him and Thielen have no help. They needed to get Frank out of there tho (surprised the OC wasn't let go too) and hopefully someone with some more offensive creativity can come in and get guys into winning positions. A lot of Colts fans got fed up with Frank's playcalling in Indy and for someone who was lauded as an offensive guru b/c of one trick play, he really came up short, or reality came crashing in. Idk. Either way I really don't think he's a good coach for today's NFL. Might as well try and lure someone, even from college, at this point. And I hope that 12:20 video isn't an example of Bryce having deer in the headlights syndrome. He had to step up and as soon as he did his lineman fell down right in front of him and the other 2 d-linemen were in his face. I need to see evidence of his bad play that's more substantial than that clip if you're going to say he isn't living up to expectations. I really would love to see a breakdown of him (good and bad) if you find the time.
As a panthers fan, the most optimistic outlook I can have is that we will not be good for a very long time. My baby cousin will have likely graduated college by the time the panthers have a winning season. That is how much of a disaster this entire franchise is. We are probably gonna go 0-17 many times over the next few seasons and I don’t see us going above 4 wins for any of the next 20 or so seasons. And this is an optimistic outlook on my part. Well at least Charlotte sports fans have the hornets… No, the hornets are even worse. The hornets are probably far worse than the pistons are right now, and will probably be that bad for the rest of our lifetimes. And this is an optimistic outlook as well. Both teams are cursed, and will be for a very long time.
Carolina's run offense looked good in the second half of last season with Foreman and they had a #1 WR in D.J. Moore. So they didn't resign Foreman and gave up Moore to trade up for Young. Now Young has no running game and his #1 WR is a guy who was the #2 or #3 WR in Minnesota before they cut him loose a couple of years ago.
He's not a #1 WR at this point and he wasn't his last year in Minnesota after Jefferson came in. They made a choice not to resign him.@@TheGuyWhomstdve
This is good and compelling and I like the stats, but I don’t think you get to the bottom of this until you start to look at how all those bad parts work together to make something worse. I’m still waiting for the tape breakdown that somebody will eventually put out that helps explain how the scheme, the players, the coaching, the quarterbacking reinforce one another in awfulness. (I also am not sure I’d go so far as to say “Bryce Young’s game depends on rhythm and timing”. Reich’s does - Bryce’s… didn’t really seem to.)
Putting your undersized QB in an even deeper mess than what was present before he even got there is most definitely a fireable offense. Also, Frank Reich is.. not good. Bryce is screwed, as of right now.
Alls I know is Theilen came in clutch for me on a couple fantasy games. Picked him up as a FA in about week 3. I plugged him in those exact games where he balled. I wish dalton was still in there cause now Thielen is a non factor again.
What they can do is invest in the players they have now. Find out their strengths and weaknesses. There will still be gems in the 2nd and 3rd round. So many good WR’s were drafted in the later rounds. Online can be addressed in the 2nd round as well. Defense is solid. Focus on getting Bryce some help. I would sign a bruiser HB this offseason to compliment chubba. Sanders is gone after this season. Players I think needs to be utilized more is Barno at LB and Sullivan at TE. I also think Cam Irving had a bigger part to play than fans think. He coached iky. That was the only reason he was here and he brought experience depth to the line. Now that he’s gone, I think we’re seeing the effects of it, especially with icky.
I’m glad this video isn’t pointing the finger at Bryce. The main problem is the situation they put him in and how much the offense sucks. If they don’t make big moves this offseason they’re going to hurt his development.

They traded multiple draft picks to pick up a rookie QB in the 1st. That’s either going to be a great move or a terrible one. They also thought Adam Thielen was going to replace DJ Moore. Thielen has great hands, but isn’t ever going to burn someone or make a really athletic play. They don’t have a good enough team to make up for rookie mistakes and learning curve. They went all-in and lost. With no first round pick this next draft it looks grim for them. At least it won’t take them 4 years to figure that out like Chicago is doing with Fields.
Theilen is absolutely good enough to burn db’s and make big time plays. He’s been making them all season. Hes also not dumb enough to draw a penalty by taking his helmet off 😂😂😂
Aha, the lost art of developing QBs. No more sitting behind a vet QB for 2 years with the intent of starting eventually. Throw prospect QBs in the worst teams and hope they survive.
I'd like to push back on some of the talent stuff. No, this team isn't stacked, but it's also not this bad of a roster. I think when you are seeing multiple guys post career worsts that's a huge red flag. We thought the o-line was going to be a STRENGTH of this team going into the season. They were decent last year. The young WR's started to flash at the end of the year, we drafted Mingo. The young guys and for that matter the whole offense is regressing, not progressing. This tells me what talent they do have isn't being put to its best use.
True. The line was better under a different coach who is now the DC in San Fransisco. We also had a better runningback room, of which we've dismantled; and a decent wide reciever room, of which we've also dismantled.
The coach wanted cj stroud. That's just so bad that an owner saw an Alabama qb, and let's be honest, not too many Alabama qbs in recent history other than Tua have worked in the nfl, and decided to take him even though the coach and rest of the front office wanted the other two guys before they'd take young....
Tepper, Reich, O-line, offense... lots of problems. But I am sorry to admit: Bryce, among those NFL rushers and linebackers, looks like a confused kid lost in the wrong neighbourhood. I am very worried he could be lost for football for good if this ridiculous onslaught continues.
They wasting youngs talent not building around him or give him a halfway decent line. You cant expect him to make plays behind sheets for a line its crazy.
It's not like terrible teams have a lot of agency in not being terrible anymore. If they did, they would have avoided being terrible. It's going to take time. Not only that, it's going to take wiser decisions than those that have been made so far. That's a lot to expect, and it's time to point out that you can't fire the owner, which means it'll take more time, because there's always the chance he'll make more unwise decisions. That said, they've proven that the first round draft choice is not the silver bullet for most teams. It's usually a coin flip. They should do what they can with their lower draft choices, try to make some good moves in free agency, and hope for improvement with Bryce Young. Then do the same the year after that. And the year after that.
As a Texan the Dallas cowboys have been bad for a long time and they are just now doing well so I have hope that the Panthers will become good again just like the cowboys
I became a Panthers fan back in 8th grade of 2012. Before I was a depressed Lions fan when they went 0-16 in 2008. I loved Luke and Davis at LB with Peppers, Charles Johnson, Captain Munnerlyn and a young Josh Norman. Offense had a young Cam, Steve Smith, Greg Olsen, Jonathan Stewart and a old DeAngelo Williams. Obviously my favorite color is blue but I promised to never switched teams ever again. My Panthers are trash I think a lot of it has to do with the new owner who likes to control everything. Right when he wanted Jaycee Horn over Michael Parsons in the 2021 draft and then traded CMC for a bag of chips, I knew we were doomed for failure for the next 5 years. It sucks to be a Panthers fan in California it’s pretty depressing 😭.
I think next year bryce young will take a HUGE step up. Remember Trevor Lawrence’s rookie year. He had an awful squad similar to the panthers. The next year in Lawrence’s career he made it to the second round of the playoffs. I believe that Young will have a similar 2nd year.
Bryce is 5'9 with no real athleticism and no strong arm. He's got terrible footwork and field view in the pocket. Bad throwing mechanics. Slow progressions etc etc. He's way behind the 8 ball in the most basic QB fundamentals. This is why the OL and WRs aren't doing the guy any favors. They had his back his first 2 or 3 games....all he did was turn the ball over or take sacks while they got blamed for it. Bench Bryce and play Dalton...watch the WRs run a little faster and abandon route to get open. Watch the OL at least LOOK better.

Tepper is a hedge fund guy, and they tend to think they're the smartest guys on every subject. Plus he's filthy rich. I don't see him hiring a competent football guy and butting out. He's going to be Jerry Jones on steroids.
If they were to get a new head coach, he'd have to descend from the Andy Reid coaching tree so Bryce's offensive development doesn't get stunted.
They should hire you. You seem to have it all figured out.
Qb too
As a Texans fan we been though the bad years with Esterby, until we got rid of him. I feel sorry for Bryce Young, hope Panthers get it right next year. Hope Tepper let peoples know NFL run the team.

Hell yeah Andy I know I'm glad we have our QB of the future in CJ Stroud
Texans fans should be jumping to the moon for Carolina gifting you CJ Stroud
@@Dixon_Cider407 I did a backflip when Carolina took Bryce Young
The duality of man is burning hot inside me with my takes on Bryce young
One side says: why would anyone use the 1st pick on a smaller slower Kyler Murray?
The other says: in 2020 we saw a QB drafted who struggled early whilst the QB drafted immediately after him broke rookie passing records and had the best rookie QB season ever. We should pump the brakes on the bust talk because Tua turned out alright
I have a feeling things will be bleak for a long time in Carolina. Owner meddling is likely the root cause. The team gave away too much to get Bryce Young and it'll take years to replenish through the draft. They would have likely been far better off staying put in the draft, grabbing Will Levis and doing their best to develop him while keeping their draft picks in the future. Not saying Levis is the answer, but they wouldn't have surrendered craft capital to get him.
they would have been better off taking Jalen Carter or another position. Saying to waste pick on Levis makes no sense.
I agree or whoever was available @ 9
Exactly.... murray was a insane athlete coming up. Wilson has always been a strong armed muscular qb
Bryce is a dual threat, he has immaculate anticipation so he doesn’t have to run or doesn’t allow himself to much. He also has a great arm given the passes he’s thrown at bama. Please stop creating false narratives
@@coolraygaming That man has a noodle arm, and he has ok not great speed. Stop coping lol
Fitterer has to go and/or the owner has to stop being flippantly involved.
the different between Panthers and Texans is that Texans owner dont get involved running the team, Cal job is to find the right GM, that's it. Cal trusted Nick to turn the team round and Nick get promoted as Texans GM/Executive. Love how Cal know he needed NFL peoples to run NFL team. Nick did great job by informed Cal what going on with the team.

One of the keys to his success at Alabama was using his elusiveness to find passing lanes, and you can’t do that as well in the NFL. He’s going to be an okay quarterback, but he wasn’t one to mortgage a franchise’s future over.
Its an owner issue is Carolina. I remember hearing during the draft that the panthers gm and coach wanted cj and the owner wanted young
Build Lovie Smith and David Tepper a statue outside of the NRG stadium.
Ben Johnson was Carolina’s top pick last year. There’s no reason he’d wanna go there now that the team looks even worse
I think the biggest issue is the scheme. Doesn't matter which chef serves the soup if the soup is still poop. Absolutely a disappointing year and a year of wasted potential. I thought our floor was 4 wins, and now I see I was woefully wrong
I think the biggest issue is a 5’10 qb with a below average arm and no dual threat ability

No, you wouldn't. This guy isn't an NFL QB. He'll be out of the league in a few years.
Carr showed flashes, Bryce is yet to show us anything.

Thanks for giving the Panthers sometime. Main stream media doesn't give us any love.
We’ll weather this storm I remember the Chris weinke years
It's starting to appear that Tepper is wrecking this franchise on purpose so fan support will dwindle and will give him an excuse to move the team in a few years.
It makes no sense. Panthers aren’t a “small market” team. NC+SC is the 5th most populous area in the US. They are just not Panthers fans because we can’t win.
My thought when Tepper bought Carolina is that he’d move the Panthers, so I hope this isn’t the case.
He’s definitely struggling but it’s going to be hard for any rookie QB to do well in a situation like this
Went from needing a quarterback to needing everything else.
Size dosen't matter in this situation. If you saw him in Alabama then you'd know he can see down field. It's the piece's around him.
@@joeclaridy he was either throwing to his first read or getting out of the pocket where he can see and throw to whoever was open

They could have not traded to draft Bryce Young and instead got one of the two great quarterbacks in this coming class. Instead the Bears will.

If we dont get Bryce support we will have wasted his talents and a ton of draft capital. We need to make smart FA moves and hope to at least see progress next season. I am also a fan of us trading back some draft picks just to stockpile picks for 25
What talents
That second play of the video where Bryce got smashed was hella funny. And kind of a representation of their season
O-line absolutely useless in that play 😂😂
2:18 Bryce needs to know when it's time to give up on the play and pick up some yards with his legs
They shouldve just drafted CJ like they were supposed to, drafting that tiny ass QB that isn’t even that mobile was always a bad move
Why didn’t they stick with corral another year and sink or swim with him and if they sucked and got a high pick they get a qb.
So if Bryce turns to be a bust, do we call this trade worse than 49ers giving up 3 firsts and a third for trey at pick 3?
No. We only gave up 1 first and a number 1 reciever. San Fransisco still takes the crown.

No one here said Young is better than Stroud. He even said Reich wanted Stroud but our Butthead of a owner wanted Young
His Time to Throw stat is high because Frank Reich runs the screen pass a lot, which is typically right after the snap. Skewed stat for sure.
Bryce was only special at Bama when he had NFL WR’s on tap and an Oline that could start on most NFL teams.
Except against LSU and GA who had LBs and DL who were also NFL caliber....those two defenses made Bryce look just the way he looks now in the NFL and people are surprised.
@@kevykev388he beat GA and would've done it again if the injury bug didn't hit his reciever room but hey, thats football. LSU was stupid mistakes and bad play calling.
what's the name of the background music you used in this video?
I like to dive into each young QB during the offseason. Both Bryce and CJ will probably get videos this offseason breaking down their rookie year

If I learned anything from this video, it was to start Andy Dalton. 😂
Well at least Charlotte sports fans have the hornets…
No, the hornets are even worse.
Thielen is was incredible two years ago and for years before that…they did not cut him loose

I can only imagine what the panthers would be if they could’ve kept cmc and dj Moore for young

I doubt it, Trevor had horrible coaching and Bryce has a horrible team . I don’t think he’s trash but he won’t ever live up to being number 1 ovr pick
There is no reason to think that. Bryce Young has never shown any flashes of being good
Bryce is 5'9 with no real athleticism and no strong arm.
Your dreaming bro. Bryce isn’t even close to Trevor.
I bet Tepper watches these kinds of videos.
