All sold out parts are already hard to find for the YFZ 450 so I'm holding off on buying one. My 2006 chain flew off and case was torched! Gear oil all in the creek bed killed motor asap. Had to get it rebuilt!

Thing sounds totally different after ditching the baffle. Did it seem to breath any better?
It helped with the power a little bit but it still cut out. It’s a little lean and could use a programmer and exhaust like Austin said in our other video

Chazzthaspazz 44 id recommend the dyno jet fuel controller. You can hook it to the computer and download maps from dynojet and it’s about $100 cheaper then their programmers.

what’s your favorite sports four wheeler im trying to find some good choices
Out of all of them out there, our favorite for trail riding would be the Honda 700xx or 400ex. As for more faster sport quads, it would be the TRX450r. If you want a brand new one, a Yamaha is your only option.

It’s good for trail riding aside from the low ground clearance. It has plenty of power to get you anywhere. Just the ground clearance is the issue, if its not a problem in your terrain, go for it!

For the YFZ, most definitely. Check out a newer video I found the perfect option for a budget tuning option. Way better than the programmers.

Just realizing the yfz is the last quad standing ? TRX no longer in production. What's happening with the 450 class? All Yamis racing, only difference is rider an stickers.
Yep, we know this. I guess they're all just built in different ways for racing, and like you said, riders and stickers make the only differences in the 450 class. This is why we are making the #savesportquads movement. To help as much as we can to get other manufacturers to bring them back.

Its a movement lots of UA-camrs are supporting by buying sport quads. This is in hopes that manufacturers will bring back production of sport quads due to increased sales.

If the trails are rougher it’ll take more experience but it’ll do both for sure
It's a full race engine runs like a 2 stroke on steroids has it instant on hit and pulls to 11400 rps. I have same one. It's so chocked stock I put a full fmf and vortex ecm woke it up tremendous. Finally got tuned made 52 at tires pretty fast in woods it's a dream!!
How much does a new quad cost? I have around $9000.00 into my 1988 250r.

What do you recommend as far as breaking this quad in?
Shoot we know what the recommendations are but we just ride it like we stole it lol. We haven’t had any issues so far and that’s how we’ve done it for years

That's the most truthful thing said about them. We personally know three people that bought brand new ones and all had the same exact issue with them running lean.
Team Wax Offroad Yikes, not trying to drop 1k on an ECU just to make a NEW Bike run correctly. Hate to have that infamous bog I’m hearing about.
Exhaust and having the ECU flashed is what worked for us.

The raptor 700 is so much better poor guy
For some people.
The problem is that pretty much yamaha was the only making good looking sport quads. The ltz400 was a looker too. Besides that imo they were all ugly as heck.
They do look really nice I won’t lie. Loving the looks haha
