    Great video! I've been finding my CB-3 far too cumbersome, the A6 idea looks the best fit. Cheers for making this, helpful for laying out a kneeboard etc.

    Good video.
    Regarding the flight guides, I prefer to use the subscription on Skydemon and print off the plates as needed or as they are updated, saves a fair amount of weight and reduces the amount of updating that I have to do throughout the year.
    I have just bought the Transair Cloth Kneeboard FLIP TC-1 Black - Large and will be giving it a try this weekend, mainly as the old A5 board that I have from years ago gets in the way and I usually end up throwing it in the back in the circuit.

    Good informative video as always.
    Regarding the 'Design4Pilots' Kneeboard. I agree this is a great little kneeboard for pilots flying not just microlights but all shapes and sizes of aircraft.
    I eagerly ordered the Picclo Profi A6 from Pooleys as it offered tremendous value - particularly as the advertising also included a 'Pilot Controller Kit'
    On receiving the product I was disappointed to find the PCK was not included after all.
    I spoke to Pooleys and they agreed the advertising was very misleading (they simply reproduced the blurb from the manufacturer) and would change it urgently.
    Whilst I am aware the kit bought separately is actually more expensive than the kneeboard I thought this was a great offer which on occasion does happen (Buyer be aware)
    The product is made by an Austrian setup which obviously does not mind playing fast and lose with UK consumers.
    I may be biting off my nose to spite my face - but I'm returning the product to Pooleys as there is a matter of principle here. I cannot bring myself to support a Company that rides roughshod over best practice.
    Keep up the good work.

    Hi!
    Thanks again for another great video.
    Everytime I just start to ponder '.....that might be okay for a Group A aircraft but what about a 3 Axis FW Microlight?' or 'I wonder which one of those is needed for the next stage?', you, Rory (on air), or Ben have done a VT on it. I, for one, greatly appreciate all of your time and efforts.
    Please keep em coming!
    All the very best.

    Will the kneeboard work ok for a left handed person?

    Hello mate, can you link the second black pencil you have attached to the knee board. See the red coloured one but the black one looks really good ?😊

    My kneeboard gets in the way of the yoke and its easy to get spatially disoriented when looking down at my ipad while looking at an approach plate

    Wauw, Very nice tips! This vid comes in very handy since I've just made my first three lessons. Specially the writing tips are very useful. If you want an even more solid but erasable writing solution, you could try Staedler non permanent markers. Quick drying, but erasable with a damp tissue or cloth. Anyway, thanks for sharing, I love the way you thought it through. Would this kneeboard be suitable for left handed people?

      Thanks pal! I keep meaning to get around to making a better version of this video as I now own around 5 kneeboards and have picked up even more useful tricks and methods of using them.

    which kneeboard do you recommend for ipads that have adjustable tilt?

    • @TheMicroPilot
      @TheMicroPilot  3 роки тому +1

      I have only come across one like this and I didn't like it as I thought it was a little impractical. I apologise but I haven't looked into ones that tilt.

      @@TheMicroPilot do you know any that would: fit ipad mini but can be adjusted to fit an ipad pro + a setup where you can read your snartphone + have book clipped read to use. i want to go easily back & forth between an ipad & a booklet. Any that might let me view an ipad & booklet side by side as an option too? thanks.

    • @TheMicroPilot
      @TheMicroPilot  3 роки тому

      @@verveblack Currently I'm not aware of any like that. Unfortunately most are only specifically designed/moulded to fit a particular size and model. I share your frustration because I have never found a perfect kneeboard (and I own 5) but in the end I think it's a mix of buying and then doing some sort of DIY job to it.
