While singing turn a different corner he came into the audience and stood right next to me singing. I froze, was totally starstruck and could barely even breathe. He was so close I could smell his aftershave which was beautiful. It’s an experience that I will never forget ❤

You maybe hearing repeat from the reflectors on stage. The Albert Hall is very large and natural echo can sound like effect. I doubt his microphone was altered in anyway or the audio is dubbed.

Love him but he always had a fair amount of effect on his mic when live - would have loved to hear his raw voice.
It is his raw voice, it’s just a bit of reverb which loads of singers use.
