If only the "Nobody beats GI Joe" theme could have been used for every GI Joe toy commercial between 1982 and 1994. That would have been great to see. The 80s and 90s were great times for toys!
G.I. Joe- A Real American Hero is the greatest toy line ever made.
That singer sang the hell out of those commercials. He and the narrator are what I remember the most from the commercial breaks back in the 80's and made me want get these toys. Hope Hasbro took good care of them $$$
I imagine these ads along with the GI-JOE series got a lot of kids to join the U.S military when they came of age as they wanted to be like their heroes in fighting to defend America from bad guys.
We need GI Joe to be like this again. Wouldn't it be fun?
@@girlgarde the "be all that you can be" US Army commercials were also awesome
Wow can't believe that it's been 33 yrs ago since I heard the Nobody beats GI Joe (character toy name) The Real American Heroooooooo
Yo Joe ! by the narrator, the boys, and Sgt Slaughter
Long live the 80s
13:13
Destro's back, on the attack, out to conquer the world *ON HIS OOOOOOOOWN!* idk why, but that part in particular always gets me with hype, especially when it gets louder! Gosh..
Props to Rob Remus/Sgt. Slaughter being involved in many of these commercials
GREATEST CHILDHOOD GENERATION!!
NOBODY!!! Beats G.I.JOE!!!! These commercials kicked ass. Narrator and Singer were a deadly combo! DESTRO’S BACK!!!!
🤟🤟🤟
80s toys were the best!
"Nobody Beats G.I. Joe"
"G.I. Joe SUPER TROOPERRR!"
They sure don't make them like this anymore. As an avid G.I. Joe enthusiast and collector, I thank you for bringing back so many memories. Many of these items are in the collection as is, but, these make me want to go looking for more.
Unfortunately many things won't return but fans can always keep the legacy alive.
yo joe
What a blast from the past, I had a lot of these vehicles when I was a kid, but I can't remember any of these commercials, they must have worked on my parents tho.
You know, honestly, a good number of the vehicles from this era are actually pretty sweet. Kind of a shame they never managed to appear in the Sunbow series. And this is coming from a 2000's kid that only discovered this series after the fact.
Wow....I didn't realize how crazy the 80s Toyline got. No wonder this show is so beloved.
I'm amazed at how much of this shit I owned.
it certainly is a passion that is lost with today's toys and shows, as corny and cheesy as these past things were you can see alot of love went into making them, can the same really be said about the things today?
@@Avalon64 If you were a kid today I'll bet you'd feel differently about today's toys vs those of 30-40 years ago.
@@22steve5150 well considering how these old toys are still collectables, the toy companies are still scrambling to somehow reboot past properties and modern toy lines are finding more and more places in the bargain bin...no I don't think I would
@@Avalon64 Adults with nostalgia goggles are buying up the reproductions of 80's toys my dude, myself included. Kids are more into video games and shit like that. Same reason why outdoors activity is down from where it was back then.
More of these should have been put on the Shout Factory DVD's. Thanks for putting this together.
No Body Beat G.I. Joe
A Real American
HEEEEEERROOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Damn, this brought back so many memories of old bygone friends that have passed on and how much we enjoyed our childhoods as G.I Joe fans. Tanks for these good memories.
My brother who died in 1993 had some of this stuff, I remember the Defiant and Thunderclap in fact I found part of the Thunderclap in my parents' garage over the summer.
My condolences
80s commercials had much better animation than nowadays
yo joe
yeah this is why 80s toys were so damn cool
Como diría Don Ramón si viera el Cobra Mamba "Cosa bonita, cosa bien hecha, cosa hermosa" 😊
I mostly played with Lego bricks and Playmobile stuff, so I never really had many action figures like this. Looking back at stuff like this makes me wish i had more.
You know I'm going to be singing "Nobody beats G.I. Joe!!!" all day now.
It is the best G.I. Joe song ever!
I love how the Avenger is a repaint of the drone from the Night Raven.
Whoever put this together, thank you for bringing back so many memories. 😉😉😉
You are welcome.
Seriously, thank you
13:07 Cobra Commander II (Fred VII) and Serpentor played Destro in revealing himself as the real enemy to the C.O.B.R.A. cause.
"There's nothing on the radar."
"Oh, well then I guess that's nothing shooting at us, you nitwit."
I love how it explodes in his face right after that, must've got the RADAR from a Starfleet surplus sale.
It all feels like a dream.
GI Joe toy line had the best and coolest looking vehicles. They still hold up too.
What a time to collect toys. Was 9 yrs old, and I remember taking them figures & vehicles to the beach and digging foxholes. :)
The snowflake generation will never have toys like these anymore.
I used to take mine to the woods 😁😁✌🔥
My younger brother and I would not leave home without some “Joes”in our pockets ! Shipwreck and Hawk were my favorites. My bro liked the Dreadnocks , Torch and Road Pig . Great times !!
Isn't interesting how these toys did a better job connecting us to the environment around us? Well, them and Captain Planet, LOL!
After listening to this guy sing for 15 minutes, all I can think of is a David Cross stand-up bit for some reason.
Best toys ever. Action figures and vehicles are unmatched
Good work it's awesome to see a collection of some of the best joe vehicles and ads
And nobody beats G.I.Joe.....
Indeed.
YO JOE!!!!
*A REAL AMERICAN HEROO!!*
"Nobody beats GI JOE BATTLE-FORCE 2000!" Took him 7 months to write those lyrics.
A partir de estas figuras Gijoe fue convirtiéndose en una locura multicolor. Qué pena que a España no llegó casi nada de las primeras series de figuras.
the last few minutes, promoting the comics are the best. Yo Joe!
13:53 I love the Flagg’s cameo. Marvel Comics did justice. I wish they would would reprint an Omnibus
the warthog fights like rabid dog
This will definitely help me with my video essay on how to make GI JOE relevant again.
I don't like alot of these vehicles. But I think I was getting older, moving in to comics and highschool.
I can totally see those born just behind me being justified in their love for these toys.
AWESOME!!!! GREAT MEMORIES!
3:42 I think George Lucas is going to sue somebody.
I SWEAR I WANT THIS SINGER'S AUTOGRAPH😆😆😆😆🙌
Definitely a strong voice
At first, your singing along!
🎸 🇺🇸 YO JOE! 🔊 🎶
Then...
...it gets old! Real, REAL fast! lol
Word, who is that dude? He deserves an Emmy.
No only that, but man, Charlie Adler and Chris Latta's actual voices on the commercials......oh and THE SARGE...this was when American was GREAT! YO JOE!
Sounds like Gene Simmons
Bring back memories I had half of the stuff in all these commercials I collected them like crazy and a huge fan of the cartoon if I had the space I would have continued to collect them I wish I could start my collection over but I still don’t have enough space lol I’d have to hit the lottery buy a huge house and build a addition just to house all the joes and vehicles I had and didn’t have I’d hunt every single one down that’s in mint condition and no missing parts lol
THIS IS SO COOL! I use this to play over other commercials that come on TV for the programs that I watch. Thanks for doing this!!
I would really hate to be in the front seat of the WART HOG with those 7 foot missiles going off right over my fn head!
I can't stop watching this!
😂😂😂😂😂
🎶A real American HEEEE-ROOOOOO!🎶
IV waited 30 plus years to say this..Now I can turn the volume up.
im kinda surprised SNL hasnt done an obvious hack parody of this yet.
I truly hated the switching of the laser colors post-movie.
COBRA is supposed to be Blue. Which match the colors of the soldiers' uniforms and the blue-bloods like Cobra Commander and Baroness.
G.I.JOE is Red for the red-blooded American who fights COBRA.
Being a huge fan of these particular ads and that incredible vocalist/rhymist, I was totally intending on compiling these videos myself. Thank you for doing the hard work for me! Most of the videos are of excellent quality too. Way to go! Yo Joe!!
You are welcome. Most people will disagree with me but this theme song was so amazing that a full song should have been developed from this jingle to be the new intro song of the TV show. Yo Joe!
@@gijoespanol who sang this
@@besnikzogaj9887 Sorry, no idea.
Duke 🤩🤩🤩 chuckles
Fantastic uploads and excellent job for compiling all classic videos. Until now the vehicles toys looks awesome.
The best times I had watching and playing with it!!! But then I lost all of my toys when we got transferred... 😥 Feel sorry for the kids watching Doraemon these days...🤣
Great job done on the compilation! Reminds of the young and great old times :D
Thanks for your words. Same than you, G.I. Joe (alongside Star Wars) was the greatest thing in my childhood. That is why I love the 1:18 scale because it remains me of the best time of my life: my childhood. No other generation lived so great times as those who grew in the 80's, the golden age of toys in my opinion.
GIJoe has giant cannons and missiles.
Uses vehicles as battering rams instead.
Yo Joe!
I wonder if the dude singing could keep a straight face through some of the songs 😂
If you ever sang the jingles you will know that is impossible.
Wow I had the X-Wing, Mean Dog, IMP, Swamp Masher, Desert Fox, X-30, and gold Destro with his attack pod. Wish I knew what happened to them because they were some neat vehicles. The earlier GI Joe vehicles I liked better just because they were more realistic. The mid to late 80's was when they started getting a little extravagant in the designs.
Boy, some of these toys must have been really expensive, look at those behemoths
man I have the GI joe X-wing with windmill, the action packs, Destro despoiler . GI JOE and Cobra has the coolest vehicles & weapons
Geez some of these sets were gigantic.
I had the Battle Force 2000 Sky Sweeper. It was great. Wish I could have had all 6 vehicles to have the Future Fortress.
My favorite campaign song for the G.I.Joe brand!
"GI Joe Persuader! So real! Ten wheels! GI Joe Persuader!" Their lyrics totally persuaded me to buy one.
I see what you did!!
EVERYBODY'S YELLING!!!! 😆
If I could add something (THANK YOU FOR THESE BTW) this was the last time we would see Japanese animation companies doing work for Sunbow/Hasbro. The energy and detail of the classic Cell styled animation is still in a class of it's own. Hopefully there can be some sort of digital restoration of these.
it always blew me away how high quality the animation for the ads was, esp when compared to the Sunbow and DIC series
This is freaking great. I love this.
Love this thanks for posting, I love Gi Joe, my friends, and I would play Gi Joe all the time though we have parted company many years ago those fun memories are still there thank you for bring them back,
Also the Gi Joe X-wing how did they get that past Star Wars copyright?
You can use the same name as long as you present a different concept behind it. For example you can create a character called Bat Man and you can register it but with a different concept, for example a guy with a baseball bat, this Bat Man is a different take.
@@gijoespanol I see thank you,
GI Joe meets M.A.S.K. vehicles.
That's what I described the DIC GI Joe toyline
Nice Memories
It always seemed strange to me whenever you would see COBRA soldiers playing volleyball or doing things to relax and play (except the Dreadnoks who weren't soldiers, more like mercenaries who fought because it was fun for them)... I wouldn't have thought COBRA would care enough about their soldiers (the ordinary Vipers and Grunts) to bother. I mean they signed up to a group wanting to conquor the world, I figure they used propaganda to convince them they were the good guys (and very few ever quit or changed sides)
That’s not the Defiant there’s no Capt Sisko
The animation is better than the previous 1983-86 version
1:44 LMAO But Cobra Had A Maggot
"... Cobras got ah Maggot with ah big ole laser blastah... "
Can't say I blame Destro for turning against Cobra Commander and Serpentor, those two were inept jerks who spent as much time fighting each other as they did GI-JOE.....
@NightRaven 630 Yeah, Destro and his forces were quite stylish. Conquering the world in style!
This is great! Thank you.
Joe could end up in a big disaster/Cobra's got a maggot with a laser blaster
Yeah!
Lol 😆 it’s sergeant slaughter!
Y tienes razón, G.I.
1st commercial has some kick ass AOR
Sgt Slaughter was awesome
Of the new line of Joe toys, I did own the Cobra Hammerhead and Mamba
I loved Gi.joe commercial bring me back awesome memories
If I was a millionaire, I would buy several of each sets and devote an entire wing of my mansion :)
Fighting for freedom, wherever there's trouble! YOOOO JOE!
Totally Awesome 🔥🔥🔥
I love the custom repaints of the mobile command center that turns it into a Jawa Sandcrawler.
Can't believe the awesome animation for the little advertising for childrens!!! Love it!!!!!!♥
I gotta get this album.
GI Joe X-Wing
George Lucas is gonna be PISSED!
Here's the video I was talking about on how to make G.I JOE Great Again.
ua-cam.com/video/058wRRgB8qw/v-deo.html
G.I. Joe-ARAH is simply the greatest action figure line ever made.😊
I saved for an ETERNITY, to get the ROLLIN THUNDER...still got it!!!!!
Recuerdo esos comerciales d niño eran geniales...🤙
These commercials and music are great unfortunately I had grown out of GI Joe by this point
This was way before my time but if you were a kid in the 80s you were probably the coolest kid if you had these toys and you were probably begging mom and dad and any other family members to get these toys for your birthday or Christmas.
This is indeed what Ronald Reagan has unleashed in the 80's. :D
How does illegally selling weapons to our enemies and helping drug cartels smuggle cocaine into the USA to destroy communities, having 26 admin members indicted for major crimes, 16 of them found guilty, and 8 of them sent to prison, and then a mass pardoning program at the end of his presidency to end the investigations into the Iran-Contra affair translate into Hasbro producing a fun and desirable batch of vehicles and figures for most of the 80's and hiring marvel and sunbow to create a comics and TV show advertising vehicle for their products? Was ol' Ronny Ray Gun on the Hasbro board of directors?
@@22steve5150 Like so many other industries, Reagen deregulated television advertising allowing companies to pair cartoons with toy commercials in a symbiotic relationship. Some would say this exploits children who don't know any better. If adults can't resist the power of advertising, what chance do little kids have?
That's a fact. One big military recruitment campaign, but it was fun. lol
@SEZWAH Music That's some excellent shit you are smoking.
USA knew Soviet Union was basically on life support in the early 70's and defeated. We were waiting for the zombie to drop, took nearly 20 years, so the biggest accomplishment was preventing Soviets from launcing nukes and taking the rest of the world down with them.
But now Cobra’s gotta MAGGOT!😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
Nobody beats G.I. Joe!
That was until Transformers got bigger than this franchise over the years later.
A real American hero!
my spine just think about
