I recently had to make the same very difficult decision with my mint XB GT tribute 4 door, mild 351, C4 and 9”., sold it recently for $84K. Took me 5 years to build and as much as I’d liked to have kept it, keeping my home was more important right now. Can’t tell you how less financially stressed I am, might do another one day when the economy improves and interest rates drop.
If you can keep the ute, do so you'll regret the day you did . I sold my HG UTE and regretted that day ,23 years later, I had the chance to buy it back, so I jumped at it, so now the resto begins 😊 Put it in the corner and enjoy it every now and then . Good luck 👍
If it was me , I wld keep the car nobody will give you anywhere near what its cost to build with your time & expertise included no regrets mate ! keep it its a great car & I can see you do love the car keep it !
I had a ute. It’s a single man’s car. Sold it and bought a sedan. BUT. If you can afford to keep it, do that. Leave it in the corner and enjoy it when you can. Tough choice, and it’s all yours to make. No regrets!😀
Bro i know your feeling Sell 1 to build more arrrr Ive got a 2 door commodore that fits 4 and ive got a family of 5 but im not selling it haha Good luck with your decision 👍 Im on night shift this week i should be able to catch up on all your videos ive missed Take it easy mate Byron 👍
I'd always keep the Car that is finished and complete, I want a driver ... however a Ute is fairly impractical from a Family standpoint. You have to weigh it all up for your personal needs and requirements.
You could put anywhere between 60-80k on that, but in that market, it’s likely to sit online for long lengths of time. You could be better off going to a specialised auctioneer like 782motors (not sure if anyone has had bad experiences with them) and set a reserve!
Great looking ute mate .if You can get the money that you Put into it and make a little bit of profit Move it because of notice utes. don't fetch good money. I love to see you build that HK PREMIER I've got one myself. And they look the best with centrelines with that new trim looks killa And the work you gonna do it all yourself anyway. Good luck 👍
Sedans and wagons are more enjoyable with friends vrs a Ute ?? .. market has definitely dropped right off in NZ to unfortunately.. good luck with your desion making 👍
Keep it keep it don't get rid of it, I started restoring my 54 FJ Holden when I was 25 , I had to sell it to pay the scum bag lawyers after my 2 nd divorce I'm 70 odd now and still regret the day I sold it. You can't ever find a car that you put your heart and soul into rebuilding it cheers mate andy
Congratulations on 1000 Subscribers well deserved 👏 ❤ if it was mine I'd be keeping it, but if you need cash 💸 💰 to move forward with other projects well sell it, dont let it stop the progress, but remember you most likely will never get another one, I sold my LH Torana and FE Holden sedan, and now regret it, as to buy them both now, well need another mortgage, anyway its only worth what someone else is prepared to pay for it, you know the costs, add your labour, starting price IMHO, if i wasn't restoring a house that was 121 yrs old, I'd buy it, Cheers 🍻🇦🇺🦘🪃🏔🍻
Love it ❤

Let the market decide - put it out for tender - better still keep it as it adds to your super fund.

Yeah in an ideal world I’d definitely love to keep it and just build the prem alongside of it. Do you regret selling your Ute?
I'll give it my best 👌 👍

I'm doing up a CL sedan which will be my daily and yeah utes are impractical, and to that I say. have more than one classic at a time

Thanks mate. Hk premiers definitely look good with a set of autodrags 👍
You've done a cost break down so upwards of that at least.
Hi Andy don't sell it you will regret it, the Prem will get done in time
Its a beautiful car and its time to move on. Sell it, take the money to fund your other projects. I am sure more opportunities will come along as well
Find a way to make ute earn it's keep, rental? Movie or advertising work. Gotta be something out there. Get out of your box is all im saying 😊
Good idea!
