Hi, once the door pushed against something, it reverses. How this works, I mean how to sense it?

Is the spring supposed to be loose or wound when the garage door is down ?
It always has tension in the up position it is under less (about 1/2-1 turn)

Try putting a strut on every pannel boss.... that door will smile on you setting up after about 500 cycles gaurnteed.🍩🥛
Well this door was over 14 years old still no smiling, so I believe it is ok and it is what the manufacturer called for. Thanks though
