just bought my first house in june. (24yr no parents etc to teach me this stuff) and the other night i heard a loud explosion like sound. my garage door pulley or something broke off. luckily i wasnt in there working on my cars like usual.. sounded like a bomb went off outside. not exaggerating at all. i'll be replacing all of the hardware tomorrow thanks to you! Thank you so much for that information. It was very clear and easy to understand. My safety cables were not installed on one garage door by the previous owner. Even though that door was not being used there was tension on the rusted springs. Your video saved me a lot of heartache. I can rest easy now. Thanks!
