I made a video dedicated to discussing the compatibility issues. And yeah, in my experience, it doesn't work with the modern (Turbine) 18 either! Though some people report having no issues! I think there is definitely some modal discrepancy and / or two different versions of the blaster!
Hasbro is most likely aware Worker is around with there 22 mags. No new blasters in a long time released with 18 mags. A lot of people refer 12s anyway.

My Worker 15 and 22 mags work well with this blaster
