I feel like Nerf took a lot of inspiration from the af spectrum with this, the jam door, carry handle/tac rail, mag release, and the general shell of the blaster resembles it greatly
Just a tacticool heads up for those looking to mod the StormCharge, there are TWO clips in the blaster: The teal plates in the grip. However, they can be easily removed with patience and the right tools. This is not as easy to open up like the Stryfe.
This is why I like reviews in this style. He says his personal opinion on stuff but it doesn't affect the rating of the blaster. He still reviews it properly and showcases everything about it that you need to know
Protip: Avoid puting the magazine from the Halo MA40 in this gun. I learned that the hard way. Basically the magazine release will bump up against the bump on the mag and just- not work anymore. I had to pry mine apart to get the magazine out.
The grip is clipped on, but the rest can be opened without any clips or glue. Flywheel cage is very similar to the Turbine's, and Buffdaddy Nerf has made a printable cage already. Hope it'll be a viable alternative to the Stryfe for those who live where Stryfes are hard to find.
I tell you, as a parent of Nerf boys, they'd prefer to have batteries in their battery powered blasters, but if you have decide between pull-ups, groceries and gasoline and you forget about the blaster batteries, they'll play with dead or no batteries.
Coop has a good point there's a LOT of mod parts for the stryfe. I only wish there were more performance kits available for the rayven I can't find any
I actually really like the look and feel of this blaster. Dare i say more then the original Stryfe. Definitely got more customizability and the grip is really nice.
Nerf for the last five years: Oh, I guess it's a stryfe reskin... :/ Nerf right now: Oh! A stryfe reskin!! By which I mean, I am (and the community are in general, apparently,) happy to see something filling the semi auto flywheel niche, while also having the compact stryfelike form factor with no strings attached, back in mass production. We keep getting clunky, branded, gimmick blasters that are just the stryfe underneath, while the stryfe itself has been impossible to find firsthand, so I'm happy for a change
Nerf should sell stand alone attachment that match colour schemes, just like the modulus kit pack series they had a lot to offer. Atleast then we can maybe have matching attachments, there wasn't really that much variety with the previous elite 2.0 colour scheme, unlike the modulus or N-Strike Elite.
Looks wise it’s beautiful, tho I wish nerf would release 2 versions of designs like this, a springer and a battery operated form, simply because I’m more of a springer guy.
Hi coop, you remember that horrifying tovol zerky shotgun thing? Well they've actually kind of Improved and I would love if you would give their newer sawn off double barrel a look!
i found the extra friction in the stormcharge's trigger and rev trigger really painful after a while. idk if it happens to everybody, but after firing 50+ rounds it gets painful and tiring to use.
I don't wanna see Elite 2.0 fail and die miserably and stuff like this gives me slight hope that they can do better. I'm hoping for Elite 2.0 to actually become a good line for casual people
The Wild Series so far have been the only blasters that should be considered Elite 2.0. The rest of the line would have had a much favorable reception if they were Alpha Strike 2.0
Wow you know it’s a good grip when Frank gives it the ol thumbs up 👍. Only just getting into nerf and living in Australia, I missed my chance on getting the beloved Stryfe so this’ll be a decent substitute when it finally hits our shores 😎 and thanks for your reviews Frank. You cover all grounds with info and give new players like me good info on what to buy and avoid
Constructive criticism incoming: The only thing I did not like about the video was in the My Opinion chapter. When you said if you want to mod choose the Stryfe, the only problem is that Stryfes are pretty hard to come by and may not be very accessible to viewers. Great video as always Frank! 🙂
Looking at the internals, it shouldn't be too hard to fix the nasty cost-cutting measures. But I'm waiting for a new barrel piece that follows the Stormcharge's outline before I consider getting one (although we never got the previous Wild Edition blasters...)
Haven't seen someone do it yet and I don't own one myself, but the Delta Trooper's barrel might work well. It has the same sort of tiger stripe pattern to it too.
@@lukeiannello6190 if the Stormcharge's barrel was a bit higher up, the Delta Trooper barrel would be the best fit. It looks like the Eaglepoint barrel would continue the foregrip but obviously doesn't have anything to round off that flat section at the top of the Stormcharge.
Dude! Nerf is becoming nerf again. The nerf dark ages is ending!!! I hope they keep making blasters like this!! I miss the good ol' days of the regular elite and moduleus and this feels like both. I really miss all of the brands from 2013-2018. Thanks coop for reviewing this
You should do an updated loadout for how you’d nerf for a big event. I feel like it’s been a long time since you did one of those and it’d be a cool video!
I'm guessing Nerf realized the money their saving from NOT using screws in their 2.0 line of blasters has caused them to loose far more money from the people who would have bought their blasters so they could open them up an mod them.
I just realized that the barrel attachment of the eaglepoint is designed to flow into the otherwise awkward forward grip of this blaster when attached to it
I have about half of the Elite 2.0 set, and what I noticed with this gun is that it doesn’t take one of my magazines that I got from the Fortnite B-AR. It takes my other magazines from my Echo and Moto Blitz so… I don’t know.
Given the fact that the magwell rev lock doesn't work, how likely do you think it is that the access door is also meant to have a lock and it just isn't working?
I really wish they would put those mag well walls back in like they did back in the old n strike line especially in these newer elite 2.0s when you put the mag in it really feels crummy it’s not smooth and it’s very rough
How about another dart comparison video. Especially with all of the Dart Zone darts. How many do they have now? 5? Waffle, Ember, Ruby, Chili, and Bamboo. I'm probably missing one.
ok. what about moddability? how easy is the stormcharge going to be to mod compared to the stryfe? is hasbro still clipping their guns and using crappy plastic leaf springs?
hi Frank. i think it will be better than the stryfe in the long therm. take off the attachments... reminds me stongly of those rapidstrike pistol uzis some guy called coop 772 did ages ago! because of the clean front - it will be so awesome to design front attachments for it. i cant wait doing this! but im from germany and it takes often a bit time until we can get hands on new released blasters.
Sup frank, my bad if I ask the same question again but please review the Spas 12 toy blaster, it's pretty worth it and TRUST ME you won't be disappointed! 😎 Edit: Also here's a tip, prime it in the normal way or else it will get jam. :D
I have a modulus stryfe my dad bought me and the rev trigger when you fully press it usually gets stuck inside the grip and you have to hit the back of the grip with your knuckles a few times to get it out, do you have any advice on how to make it smoother? also cool vid.
@@Coop772 Thank you so much I opened it up and took apart the rev switch and the thing the back of the rev trigger that rubs against the ramp to make it go up was scraping a ton so I put some petrol gel on it and now it operates as smooth as butter! OMG, IT HAS THE SAME STOCK & BARREL AS BATTLECAMO STRYFE as you can see, i am happy for no reason. Also, small grip? Finally a gun that looks cool, modular I guess, and it has a smaller grip :D
Great review, but hasbro need to start making these lipo lion rechargable to save weight and as a parent myself now i dont want to be replacing the batteries every 5mins! This will still make a great side arm for my son👍

I think Nerf realised that the 2.0 phoenix wasn't really a good successor to the stryfe and then made this as a better 2.0 stryfe successor.

WIth the Stryfe and Dart Zone Spectrum no longer on market and fetching higher and higher prices online, the Stormcharge is a good alternative.
The new way to show the fps is really great! Definitely gives a good view on how powerfull it is and what is is comparible to! Nice job Coop!
Haven't heard there being an N-Strike barrel lug for so long I was beginning to question whether or not they existed in the first place.

At last, Elite 2.0 has upgraded the Elite 2.0 Phoenix by making it like Franklin's sick modification to the Stryfe: the one and only POONBOW!!!!
