I feel like you’re the embodiment of every shop teacher any of us have ever had. We all know the type, that acted like we are all dumb, but taught us more about motors (and life) than the real world was ever going to, and lowkey loved us all like we were their own children. It is good for guys to visually see the results of 10% ethanol left in a small engine. Had it happen to me with a boat motor which is why I only use non-ethanol gas in my Ruckus. Where you were fortunate is the ethanol did not cause you to change the fuel filter.
1 small tip, there are no phillips head screws on the Ruckus. Rather there are JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard) screws. Lots of guys strip out the Carb screws trying to use a phillips screwdriver.
My Ruck is an old retired guys normal in town transportation unless I need to carry something heavy requiring the truck. Harley is for the highways which at my ahe is becoming less frequent.
I own a 2022 now full stage 2 EVI instead of CDI plus performance carb, clutch & rear shock. My normal above curb weight is around 240 & the Ruckus rear shock bottoms out at 220 going over a crack in the sidewalk. That is with underseat bag with lock & cable plus a front barrel bag filled with small handtools & sunglasses. I also added a real rear carrier cabable of holding 110lbs. I cruise 44/46mph all day long which is 10mph faster than the Ruck cruised pure stock.

Nice video brother. Good looking out for regular folks like us. Little tip on those pilot jets... Clip a single wire from a wire wheel and use it to clean out that stubborn junk. Get up in there dudes

The fuel pump is under the tank. That thing under the seat is part of the automatic choke.

My electric start just died after 5100 miles. Kickstart still works but no clicking or anything from the start button. Haven’t opened it yet hut Last time this happened on one of my chinese 150s it was just a loose battery wire lol

Alcohol free gas saves you a lot of headaches , reeks havoc on theses little carbs I switched 3 yrs ago and I have yet to clean a carb on any of my mini motos that I own , the pump I get my gas from is a pump all by its self and it only has one hose
Ugh man I changed the oil, changed the lines, cleaned the carb, cleaned the jets, tried to use the manual kick starter, charged the battery, removed the gas, changed the fuel pump. Today I officially went off and got so mad because what in the work is going on 😡 tried the computer reset multiple times where you use a wire but I’m not sure if it’s actually reseting because people say the head lights are supposed to come on an go off but mine doesn’t do that when I reset it simple gives a noise as if it’s priming and that’s it. At suggestions?
And you might need to flash the ECM, I had to after I put new battery in.

I have a Honda Metropolitan scooter. Couple winter ago , I winterized it by turning off the fuel valve. Now I want to use my scooter again, but I forget where is the fuel valve location is on my scooter. Do you know where is it located? Thanks for your help.

I just put new piston, piston rings, and carb on my 2019 two tao and it acts like it wants too start but doesn't. What can I do to fix it
What if it revs up but only touching the 2 bolts with metal will turn it over? And when it starts and runs its a little choppy for the first few minutes. Also, it only does this if it sits for at least a few hours. New spark plug didnt change anything. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think after cleaning my carb I will only use non ethanol marine gas for the ruck
I run premium fuel in my 2023 ruckus. I heard of low octane issues
Do not stick that in a fuel injected vehicle you could take a match to it and won't light the shelf life is 6 months that's it
Replace the fuel pump because the gas tank is in the floorboard and it has to pump it to the carburetor uphill Honda Ruckus are the worst for fuel pump issues
Reset the ecm and see if that helps if you have any problems. I am thinking this is the real issue with these. I think it controls the fuel pump. UA-cam has vids on how to do it!
Mine is completely dead. It’s not the battery tho. It won’t do anything.
I can kikstart...but cant use the starter..sum times it turns over wen starting with automatic starter/ but other times she dont start with automatic starter😕why?

Have the brake pulled in?
If so it could be sensor. If not e start wont work. Could also be the button, solenoid, or connections between them and battery.

the fuel pump on the honda rokus always be the problem it need to be gravity the should not be there. I raised trhe tank up and it worked better, so I now it works better with it hihger without the pump.
