I don't think the authorities disagree with you, but they have to put a case together and prove it. while it is unlikely he didn't know: 1) they still have to gather evidence of his knowledge of the abuse and 2) they wish to convict the custodial parent. both are easier it they don't seem to be going after the dad.
I am pretty sure that the dad has not escaped the authorities notice. they just want their eventual case to stick and they don't want people (jury) to go easy on the mom because the kids will have no parents left, so they convict mom and then they get dad. he's not going anywhere and the kids are being cared for.
      that is my take.

He knew damn well ruby was starving the toddler at 4 years old and posting videos about it online and he allowed it.

i just think and its only my opinion that he is not innocent but he is also not criminally responsible (as of now) so bringing up actions that you would call signs imo is kinda revisionists history and just assuming based on your own beliefs is not how the law approaches being guilty.

    • @gyrthez246
      @gyrthez246 9 місяців тому +7

@@jadynariana I think absolutely on the neglect front, I hate kids personally but I still cannot fathom being a parent and not having an issue with seeing your kid, or when the police are telling you in the interrogation room that your kids were abused to the point where the duct tape used to restrain them melted into their flesh and the wounds were so severe that it made first responders (who are usually first on scene to horrific accidents) are put to tears by the brief sight and that they're lucky to be alive, and the first thing you ask the police about after hearing that is not "are my kids okay" but "did you guys recover the money in the bag?".
Tells you exactly where his priorities are.
Not to mention the jail calls where he's scheming with Ruby as to how to get the kids back into their custody despite him knowing she was abusing them like that. Disgusting. All 3 of them needs to be kept far away from every single one of those kids. The only reason he's divorcing Ruby and not contacting her right now is literally because they schemed this with attorneys and through jail cell calls to try to make sure Kevin has the best chance at getting the kids, they said that much on a recorded jail cell call.

People aren’t against you because they’re against raising children. They don’t have an issue with those things. They’re against you because of the absolutely vile and unholy terror you unleashed upon innocent children. Your treatment of those innocent children was so terroristic, cruel, and heartless that labeling it “sadistic” feels like it would be an insult to sadism. The fact that she took her little girl’s hair away says so much. A lot of people think, “oh it’s just hair,” but for a girl, especially a young girl, there is so much psychological damage done when her hair is taken and she is unprepared or unwilling. The act of shaving a young girl’s hair like that says “I own you. I am in control, I can take your beauty and confidence away.” Franke wanted power and to completely crush her children’s spirits. It was so heartbreaking to see that poor little girl curled up and starving in the dark like that. She’d been completely broken down, body, mind, and soul. @mamaluigi0993 . In women's prisons a lot of those inmates are separated from their own children. So not only are they upset because a lot of them were abused as children, in addition they see a child abuser and think "I would do anything to be with my kids, and here you are abusing yours."
Doesn't matter if it's men's prisons or women's prisons, if you're there because you did something to a kid, especially your own, you are a target.

    - Is called by Jodi to come get the kids (but has no contact with her)
    - Tried so bad to get his laptop back
    - Tried to get his daughter arrested and put in jail
    - Talks about him and his wife during the interrogation, but almost nothing about the kids.

He was complicit in way too much prior to Jodi coming on scene, and frankly he's lacking in care for the kids current status. If he wins custody, I can guarantee it's just going to be some variant of what Roob Feckless did to the kids herself. He's not interested in his kids, he wants his wife's admiration. That's why he moved out the way he did and obeyed every order/edict she gave without a fight or question. It's why he didnt see the kids at her request without a moue of concern - because he cares more about pleasing Roob than he cares for the kids.

I’ve taken law classes and I was a mandatory reporter for a long time. One, cops only need probable cause to search. They had a kid with physical wounds who gave a witness testimony, that was more than enough. Two, when it comes to child abuse, the law is very lenient to those who report because they never want anyone to be dissuaded from reporting if they suspect something. Even if it’s wrong, and CPS and police time is wasted, they’d rather waste it and be wrong than not waste it and be right.

If they think someone is trying to destroy evidence, are currently chasing a fleeing suspect, or feel harm may occur to the police or a third party, they don't need a warrant. It was legal for them to come in for the last in that list to protect the remaining children.

Yeah it’s usually case by case. If the justifiably have a reason to search the house (child endangerment). Then they can search for the safety of the possible victim in danger. Of one children ran away being taped down and injured. It’s not hard to assume the other kids are in danger. Either they can be abused to figure out where the other child is or worse could be killed out of anger from the parents. You can’t really just wait for things like that because it can become a life or death situation for the other children in the home.
Which yeah I feel is definitely reasonable. I don’t want to wait for the gov to give permission to safe me if I was in those kids shoes. They needed action right away. Because time is precious.

Also he tried to get his eldest daughter arrested so that she’d have something on her record which would prevent her from having custody of the kids. Obviously that didn’t work because he’s an idiot. But the reason he doesn’t want the eldest daughter to have custody is because then Ruby can’t be in control of them, but with him she’d be able to control them all through him. Because let’s be honest he’s just divorcing her for show so that he can try and get custody. So Ruby would essentially still be in control even locked away in jail because she still completely controls him.

There are exceptions to the warrant requirement. This one falls under "exigent circumstances" for 2 reasons. The first is the immediate saftey of the people inside, the second is the preservation of evidence that is "reasonably likely" to be destroyed if the scene is not frozen. Once in the house, they can only look in places where people may be hiding in order to assure the scene is safe. After they do a "saftey sweep", evidence is no longer in danger of being destroyed, so a warrant is required to search everywhere (drawers, boxes, cabinets, ect) in the house.
