      13 and 14 are not children please stop treating them like children until they are 18. Teenagers should be treated like teenagers and guided into adult hood. When you treat them like children till they are a certain age they will not be able to be adults just like now.

    35M here. I was SA'd from the age of around 3 to 16. It's my first memory. It started at my babysitters by a teen girl and eventuall, my mom did it to me growing up. I feel like they aren't taken as seriously because people think that if a female predator goes after a little boy, the boy "enjoyed it" or the boy "totally had fun", which is not the case. It's so gross to me that people will downplay the actions of a female predators because they think their victims are somehow "lesser" or because the female predator is attractive.

So basically the adults in their lives gaslight them into thinking it's actually a good thing that happened to them. Society encourages sexual promiscuity by boys/men more. It's perfectly natural for teenagers to have desires for sexually attractive adults regardless of gender. It's completely wrong for an adult, again regardless of gender, to take advantage of those desires for their own gratification.
      Every comment I see along the lines of "man those boys had it lucky" makes me think the commenter has never been in a sexual relationship with anyone and experienced all the emotional complexities, neuroses, jealously that comes along with it - all of which can be overwhelming between two people of the same age but even more so when one is a child and one is an adult holding all the power.

    I hate talking about the latter incident because unlike the guy grooming me, where everyone is fairly understanding of how bad it was, all I get when I mention the second grooming is;
    "Was she hot?"
    "Dude you're lucky, stop complaining"

In my case I was actually coming FROM the abusive of the first time, and she told me so many promises, saying she'll make it all feel better, how I'll be safe with her.

GF at time had kid with him kicks him out and dumps him ends up paying child support. Moves in with friend. Friend finds he is selling CP reports him. Gets arrested yet no jail somehow because plea deal was if he told who he sold it to he just gets probation. Now works at a restaurant in another city. Therefore, they see it as a joke when another “man” is attacked or hurt by a woman. Like because the rapist is a woman, it can’t be as bad as a man. So i have a male best friend who lost his virginity to an adult woman when he was 14. To this day when we're hanging out with some of our other guy friends, he'll bring it up like he was the one that got lucky and it was no big deal. I have to keep reminding him that no, he is a victim who was sexually assaulted by an adult, and the fact that it was a woman doesnt change a thing.
    Luckily his mom was in her right mind and prosecuted his assailant, but it just saddens me that he still perceives it like some kind of hilarious achievment because most men dont acknowledge how theyve been sexualized since childhood. We talk about women holding on to their innocence and purity as long as they can, but men are encouraged to sleep around and treat their bodies like garbage cans.
    We need to do better.

I was physically holding her off. She was considered attractive so I think most laughed and thought it was flirting and it wasn’t taken very seriously. I didn’t want her to get in trouble I just wanted it to stop. It may be handled differently now, but I do think that there are some residual feelings of boys/men not being able to be abused by girls/women. Granted I would assume the vast majority of abuse is male abusers and female victims, but it can and does still happen and I hope boys/men can feel like they can speak up and not be laughed off or told to man up about it.
