Cool build.. I did a somewhat similar shaped caravan with corrugated metal for the roof and 2 inch foam between the rafters.. I did not do bows ... time consuming for the budget The customer put up fabric for the roof liner. . You did a great job... especially all the arches!

Very cool! I'm building one very similar and not sure about canvas or corrugated metal for the roof. Like how your canvas rolls up!

Thank you for sharing. I will be starting mine this fall. I hope to have it all finished by the time camping season gets here in the spring.

Excellent work! The end result looked beautiful too, real craftsmanship! The door and window trims would have looked better scalloped, but that's only my personal opinion. Loved the way the hen hopped up on the tressle at 3.52 presuming it was her new coup, then not finding the door, just hopped off again. 😊

Really beautiful camper. If I didn't need my 5'x10' trailer for hauling "stuff" for my farm. I think if I do a camper build similar to yours it would probably use a rubberized roof.

I was thinking about snaps, like a tonnau cover, but you'd need to hem it, and there might not be enough material. I hate sewing.
    Thanks for the reply.

What a great series filled with awesome insights in design. But I do think you left out a very important item, that being a Adirondack glider or something for your occasional supervisor... ;-) (Was that your Dad checking on you thru out the series)? Many Thanks!

    0verall an exceptional job.....
...... although "personally" I thought Ford Blue detracted from the potential and I didn't care for your style of gingerbread.
    Be proud !

How is the caravan working out for you, after all these years? Has it held up, and are you still using it?

Not Bad upholstery job with the canvas. I hope you used Stainless Steel staples though...

This is absolutely Fantastic video... but it was hard to hear you talk at 5:20, because the background music was interfering with your voice... but I really have enjoyed watching you make your masterpiece ;) ... I have one question... Why did you put your door over the tongue? I have never seen that done... I've always seen it in the back so you can just step up in the door... :)

Judi Christopher when I was looking into making one of these I saw many of them with the door at the front. mostly in the UK, I believe it's still a novelty here on the US. as far as the sound, yea I was still learning how to edit video properly (still am). I do hope that come spring I will get to finish the inside and post a video or two about that process as well.

Life kinda got in the way and I ended up selling it about a year ago. I should see if the new owner has finished what they plan and for it and pass that along.
