Kind of older slang for a woman, no? Just like "broad" was American slang for a woman.
Funny story: A British stand up comedian from the 1970s, Billy somebody, I forget his last name, told some humorous stories regarding the confusion between American slang and British.
He wasn't aware that "broad" was American slang for "woman." On the first day of his first visit to the States, his American friend, presuming him to be lonely, asked "Can I get you a broad?"
Surprised (and mildly confused), Billy responded, "I just *got* here!"

I actually met Minnie at the Toronto film festival in 2011. My GF was one of the volunteers, and she and I and a few others were out back of the venue having a cigarette break, and Minnie Driver just walked out and asked if she could bum a smoke off someone. She said if she gets pictured smoking she gets so much shit for it, so she has to do it on the QT. Really down to earth, really dry and funny.

You see, many years ago, the human species would flirt and playfully touch each other without intent of malice. Both sexes enjoyed this until some ugly people got jealous that no one would flirt with them. Now, young people don't even know what a woman is. They live through phone screens, swiping right, rolling the dice, never to experience the euphoric "tingle" of someone touching or flirting with them because they were smitten.

I actually liked Minnie Driver back in the 90's, she was quite well known in the UK. Circle of Friends, small role in GoldenEye, pretty good in Grosse Pointe Blank & Good Will Hunting I think she was in the running to voice Lara Croft (My favourite gam franchise at the time), she ended up doing the Revisioned: Tomb Raider animated series in 2007 (which she was perfect). A great actress.
