  • Thanks to the research of Hamdi Ucar I became aware of this surprising dynamic magnetic levitation effect obtained with only permanent magnets.
Read the article Polarity Free Magnetic Repulsion and Magnetic Bound State
    doi.org/10.339...
Thanks to supermagnete.com for providing me with free magnets to do this experiment.
the rotor has been designed to hold these 3 types of magnets in order to perform different tests. The first type of magnets is the one that has proved best for this purpose.
    Q-40-10-05-N - sumag.net/q-40...
    Q-15-15-08-N - sumag.net/q-15-...
    Q-25-25-13-N - sumag.net/q-25-...
This cube-shaped magnet levitates at 5016 rpm with two Q-40-10-05-N in the rotor
    W-10-N - sumag.net/w-10...
This ring magnet levitates at 5310 rpm with two Q-40-10-05-N in the rotor
    R-12-05-12-N - sumag.net/r-12-...
If you want to deepen the study of this magnetic phenomenon, here is the in-depth report by Hamdi Ucar
    arxiv.org/ftp/...
Thanks to the Magnet Tricks channel for the experiment using the dremel

How does the RPM required for levitation change with the shape/mass/strength of the magnet? And do RPMs higher than the ones you used work, or do you have to hit that specific RPM just right?
