@Cary Clark shame your grammar isn’t up to your own exacting standards. No need for the abbreviated form of “you have spelled…” Could have just written “you spelled…”
The boys are back! I swear the mirrors breaking is one of the most satisfying things I've seen in awhile. Can't wait to see the craziness you guys have planned this year 😎
I love how Rexy was just a target to start out and then we loved him so much he’s the official 4th member of how ridiculous with his own merch and now a full on mural. Rexy will live on forever!!!
Have you considered making an extremely long zip line from the top of the tower down the road. Then, send items on pulleys down the zip line to smash plates, mirrors, maybe drink pitchers, and such?
That sounds awesome, though also like it could be super Dangerous if shards go flying, could make it hard to clean up too, but if they could figure it out it would be awesome
You guys do really crazy stuff, you're super competitive and mock each other, but you're always polite, never get into drama and keep things interesting and fun. Kudos for that!
What if… now hear me out… with certain items, if you guess the number you break correctly you get a second throw with it with the amount of mirrors left
I feel like I am going to get bad luck just for watching this lol. Right from childhood I was raised to belive that its 7 years of bad luck for each mirror that you break. That's silly, I know. Keep up the great content!
New rule! After round 3, the other boys can put in their own guesses, and if they are right while the thrower is wrong, they get the amount they guessed!
I really like the mirrors! Allows you to see behind the scenes. And watching the item hit the glass and have several angles of reflection as it breaks… perfect!
You know what would be interesting? If all three of them use the same objects in the same order. Would be fun to see how different the results would be!
You could either do 7 years × each mirror for the whole channel, maybe they divide the years of bad luck evenly between the three of them or maybe they are given bad luck depending on how much they broke individually
Gentlemen, thank you for your fun the hundreds of smiles the genuine love for each other. I've been watching you for 5 or 6 years, especially when things aren't going well in life. You always pick me up. My hopes for and your family's is lots of our Lord's love grace and mercy throughout and that you're all still making videos in your 90s. Thank you so much. Tell Rexy to keep his insurance coverage up. P.S. We never see or hear about Rex's family. It would be nice to see one of his children carrying on in his footsteps. God bless, boys!!!
I’d suggest an over engineered slingshot that can heave all sorts of things! Could be interesting. You should get a radar gun and clock how fast your throws are going. That could be interesting too!
Just need to use a harder shot, high strength steel would be good. The lead deformed when it hit the mirror which took a ton of energy out of the system.
Unfortunately in Australia with how they regulate "projectiles" it wouldnt surprise me if the anemic performance they got out of that slingshot is the best they can do legally without needing a special license.
I'd love to see how many sheets of ice. The thicker the ice is the stronger it is. so maybe with each round point multipliers go up but so does thickness?
Yeh we’ve looked into this but it’s really hard to make ice sheets that aren’t too thick and yet won’t just smash.. plus they melt haha. Will keep exploring tho!
The slomo guys are far more consistent in the quality of their footage and about 1000% less annoying than these guys. IMO there is a noticeably manufactured feel to their constant enthusiasm that I just have to ignore in order to enjoy their content.
Great video as ever and good to see you guys back. Some lovely slow mo and good light hearted fun. Can we please take a moment to admire Gaunson's confused and disappointed face (presumably at how the gong only broke 1 mirror), perfectly reflected in a falling shard of broken mirror at 2:25...
Counting up all the mirrors broken by our three lads, in terms of years of bad luck, we have: Herron: 266 years Gaunson: 434 years Stanford: 70 years All combined for a grand total of 770 years of bad luck. 😂
Glad to see you guys posting again! I've been watching all of your old videos again while you were gone. Maybe how many TVs does is take to stop a rock? Or how many windows does it take to stop a rock?
I really enjoy watching the absolute chaos that occurs in these videos, but I also find myself wondering - how much more destruction could be had if you had professionals throwing/using the items? Like having pro axe throwers or archers or baseball pitchers. Just a thought.
I have a neat idea for the "How Many" series. How many sheets of drywall, but set up vertically at the tower. And the multiplier is based on which level you drop your item from. Bottom level has the highest multiplier since you'd have to throw the object pretty far just to hit the frame, from the top is just 1 times multiplier
Because beans are not a fluid, rigid, solid, nor dense object, the impact causes an energy dispersion within the can that is further dampened by the compression of the air space within the can. The can of beans actually acts like a makeshift shock absorber.
Happy to see you guys back from your hiatus, it's only been 6 months! Good stuff, Guys. Who chose the sponge, now really. The mirrors break in interesting patterns. Coney Joany was amazing! good to see you guys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2:04: dropping a fork at 3 am be like
It blows my mind that the Coney gets an easy 10 being a relatively heavy hard object but not overly sharp, and the can of beans struggles with 1.
air compresses inside the can and the metal part of the can is like 1/16th of an inch thick
It helps that Gaunson is great at throwing
I mean......the can can barely handle being dropped from 4 feet, I doubt it could handle being thrown at a mirror
Because beans are not a fluid, rigid, solid, nor dense object, the impact causes an energy dispersion within the can that is further dampened by the compression of the air space within the can.
The can of beans actually acts like a makeshift shock absorber.
The can is hollow and the coney is solid. Thats the main difference aside from weight

the mirror superstition is if you break a mirror you get 7 years of bad luck.
Each time I view your channel it makes me feel as if it is easy to get huge amount of subscribers. While it's not
You guys are doing great
I did the math for the many unlucky years to follow:
Derek Herron: 25 mirrors - 175 years of bad luck
Scott Gaunson: 32 mirrors - 224 years of bad luck
Brett Stanford: 10 mirrors - 70 years of bad luck
I remember when the Slo Mo Guys first showed the world the mirror ripple with their hammer through glass video! And now other channels have phantom cameras too and even more people can see it (not quite as slow though)! Technology is amazing!
For your next how many episode, you should use styrofoam. Would be pretty neat bc of how messy and beady that stuff can get.
10:29 i kinda appreciate how the mug broke the mirror but the mirror broke the mug
The effects when something impacts a mirror looks awesome.

Yeah, that lead weight or "sinker" is far too larger for the elasticity of that sling. My buddy has one that's either two or three bands on each side and he uses like peanut-sized pellets for it. We once fired it at a brick wall in an abandoned building and we both dove for cover as that sucker whipped around 3-4 times before stopping. And it was reusable.
Yeah, mass*acceleration is more force, but resistance and many other factors DO exist, so you're better off with a smaller mass and higher acceleration, but even using the sling you have, I would wager a weight half the size vastly outperforms the one used.
