I stopped gymnastics like 4-5 years ago lol
It’s crazy how at one point they were doing handsprings and aerials on beam, and now they’re scared to do a handstand. Obviously I know it’s been years, it’s just funny how things changed so dramatically

She maybe afraid, but u don’t have to be when u accept Jesus Christ free gift of salvation! We all sinned and could never be good enough to save ourselves from hell. But Jesus is and he died for us in our place, so that we could be free! Romans 6:23 Jesus is is risen and coming back again for his ppl though, repent and believe in Jesus b4 it’s too late!

I’m not an Ex Gymnast but I always joke about going to my previous gym and seeing what level I would test at. They never leveled me up and I learned nothing but when I moved gyms I advanced two levels in a year...

Ok so I’m 11 and a gymnast and this is what I can do
Vault: Idk bc we haven’t worked on vault one this year so ya but last year I could do a front handspring
Beam: Back walkover, and punch front dismount
Bars: Kip, squat on, kip on hight bar, back hip circle under swing back tuck
Floor: roundoff back tuck, punch front
I think I’m lever 4/5 but idk

JO is so tricky. It has really random skills as well. They are going to re-do the levels soon in terms of what skills will be asked for each level.
Obviously for you being Xcel gymnasts, you didn't all have to do the same skills which made it different for you. You all have skills that are higher levels on specific events, but because JO is so strict with what skills you do. You ended up lower.
I am so impressed that Ciera can do a shoot through. If I tried one now, I would actually die. :)

This is helpful for a mom like me who danced as a kid and now I'm watching my daughter in gymnastics class and have no concept of what the names of these moves are. Now I know what she's working toward and it makes so much more sense now! Especially the bars!

It's SO interesting to watch you try the gymnastic-levels because i live in Germany and the expectations for the different „levels“ (it has a different name here and works slightly different) and so different!
i would be a level 1, also i am a beginner self taught gymnast, because i started to practice gymnastics at home when i was 13 and i am a beginner self taught gymnast, tc2 has inspired me

I stopped gymnastics 2 years ago, maybe I shouldn't have, I'm convinced I could still compete level 5 and I'm still a reasonable age to do it at 13 years old...
I did gymnastics for 4.5 years then stopped 5 years ago and I have done cheer this season, next year I’m attending a gymnastics boarding school at age 14/15
I did gymnastics for about 8/9 months when I was 14 recreationally, didn’t get that far considering if I were to ever have competed I would have been a level 1 who was still learning bar skills and we never did much on vault... quit once high school started due to time, but dang. Makes me think of that time, it was pretty fun
if you’re having second thoughts about quitting, you can always keep practicing at home. that way if you decide to start again you won’t have start over completely.
They should have done this in prime gymnastics and cheer days

since they didn’t seem to know a leg swing is basically jumping up with one leg horizontal straight in front of you and the other leg straight beneath you and you swing your one leg up to be in front hence the term “leg swing”

@@itstocaella8392 yes ofc! Try to kick hard and stay in a straight line with your legs over you shoulders. Also, if you are learning at home I highly recommended tutorials especially tc2’s!

I started when I was 6 but lots of people start later than that and do perfectly fine.

When I did gymnastics they had me work on levels 1-4 all at once we couldn’t complete until level 4

I know a few you missed was mounting the bean. Bars dismount. Head stand tripod floor and swinging your hips off the low bar. That's level 1. Man thats been years. I have no idea how I remembered that.
Wrist shifts are after you do the leg cut. You shift your hands from over grip to under grip. Then you do a stride circle.
I think in this video I would be a level 1 but at my gym I’m level 3 (we don’t do the American system)
