This is a dark magician deck profile featuring the all new Magicians souls' and other brand new legendary hero magical heroes dark magician support .These are retrains of cards used by yugi moto such as dark and dark magician girl . Some of these cards are available as promos in the all 2019 mega tin or gold sarcophagus . This video also includes dark magician combos

Ikr I thought that was gonna be a cheap card for the set but noooo
the only issue with souls draw effect is that the discaard spell part is the cost. so if you get ashed and you discarded 2 spells you basically go -3, which is terrible. so this should never be your first effect in a turn
Imduk is interesting to cycle dark magician with a dragon monster through the extra deck. Might try to add him.

@@Shione_Starlight why would you have to hard draw it? You can search it out with magician's rod.
@@rodneydavis9172 Ruling states that Eye of Timaeus specifies Dark Magician as an Archetype and does not specifically list Dark Magician as a monster. Therefore it cannot be searched by any methods Dark Magician decks would normally use.

Yea I'll be waiting for magicians souls reprint. I got one myself out of a box opening but for copies I'll wait.
I'd swap out draco sack for another ebon and at least 3 of the links for Norito because you can also summon ebon by stacking it on top of a rank 6 spell caster. No rank up magic required. In fact with MR5 incoming you might as well throw out all the links since you won't need them. So you'll actually have room for other dm cards like paladin, cavalry, rune dragon ebon high, and Dragun of red-eyes when it gets released.
I ended up here here bc I play dark magicians and I wanted to see what the 2020 deck looks like

hey sorry if this come across as self promotion I am trying to be more in the community of yugioh I played it as a kid stop over like 4 years picked it up and a middle schooler and early highschool droped it and now me and my friends want to make our own web series about our matches irl and if anyone is familiar about danplan he make the btw can you survive so and so well I want to do something like that for my friends but as a yugituber my deck master is obviously DM but my appreciation to this channel this channel helped me get back in yugioh and i met some awesome people and some scummy people I go to my local card shop and I been on reddit this community is really good I wished I saw this community earlier at least back then my small brain thought no one played this game anymore I love this game so much I made a actual club after it this game kinda change my life and it all started out with summon skull and DM and ofc the gadget trio and mystic elf all cards I remember that looked bad ass actually helped and mystic elf had such a simple and cool design I am really glad my older brother showed me this game its really cool and ngl expensive but still I love how complex it is how it evolved and the interaction of this game myself personally I am not a good guy I am a ass hole and a cocky bitch but its nice playing a game and I have to think and dropping the phrase good game or gg and when I win a tournament i drop the hardest gg not good game but get good XD its nice to give back to this community I am not a full yugituber but I thought why not me and my friends in my tcg club are bored asking what if and hearing what you guys would do would be amazing

Not much in the way of combos. Dark magician is more of a reaction based deck.
I love Soul Servant! It really helps this deck's consistency. Just a note here: currently the maximum number of cards you can draw with its effect is 4, in case you have your 2 Palladium monsters and both Dark Magician and Dark Magician Girl in your field and/or graveyard. It only counts cards with different names, so even if I have 3 Dark Magicians in the graveyard I would only draw 1 card.
5 if you have magician of dark illusion on the field since it's a dark magician card with a different name
@@arthuralonzo4685 I'm not sure it works like that, as the effect of Magician of Dark Illusion states "This card's name becomes 'Dark Magician' while it is on the field". I think the game will see it as "Dark Magician" only, so the max number of cards you can draw would still be 4.

I’d be running magical dimension. Get DM DMG attack with both use the new fusion to then summon the dark magicians attack with it use the magic dimension sacrifice TDM summon Baxk ur DM and DMG And monster from hand and attack with all 3 and that be like 16k DMG
i got super lucky, i got 3 boxes and got one of each dark magician ultra in each box

do you get enough on board to make your link 4s? i think some superpoly targets would be a better choice. maybe also a bomber dragon, link spider, knightmare phoenix or dark paladin. i would rather not play the dark magician girl and palladium oracle package. even though they got new support they are still bricks imo. if you play 2x magician navigations i would also go with a kycoo in my sidedeck. i would also probably play 3x eye of timaeus to see it as much as possible since it's not searchable and you want your dark magician the dragon knight to protect your eternal soul. also easy access to dark paladin is nice
edit: i would also think about effect veiler for your quintet magician.
I was playing super poly targets prior along with link spider. Making utility rank 4s with with deck is fairly easy with soul, navigation, eternal soul etc... Might go back to the super poly targets but I wanted to keep it as pure as possible for the first build.
Effect Valier is really good recommendation.
Personally I'd perfer two copies of Illusion Magic in Dark Magician.
could you run a Dark Magician of Chaos in this deck?
I like DMoc, I use it with Dedication through Light and Darkness to bring it from anywhere. Thinking of adding at least 1 copy of Legion the Fiend Jester, since you can use it to tribute summon Apprentice Illusion Magician, and that gives you automatically 2 copies of Dark Magician to your hand in 1 turn.
I use dmoc as an emergency card. Plus the summoning is easy. Magician rod; search the deck for dedication through light/darkness =boom

As a six samurai player I still await support(last time I got support was like 2017) as dark magician gets more support that they don’t need Bc they have enough

Great video shame we only have 1 normal summon! Konami are a bunch of idiots. Literally every other deck has tons of normal summons except for DM. Great profile if there was anything I would pick on it would be playing only 2 navigations. That card is to good to be playing at 2. People at my locals sleep on its graveyard effect to negate spell/trap cards and I always catch them off guard. Wins me duals most of the time. Definitely a 3 off. Nice profile though
It's tough to know what to cut since there are so many good cards. Navigations graveyard effect is really cool since almost no one sees it coming.

For the dark magicians fusion, I thought when a card says once per turn it only means once per your turn only unless its a quick effect or it says during either players turn? Thats what I've been told by multiple people who play and I've read online. Can anyone clarify?
OtocanAwesome That is correct. If it says only “Once per turn” with no other modifier, it’s only your turn. If it has a Quick Effect or has the phrase “during either players turn” next to it then you can do it once a turn no matter whose turn it is.

You can actually activate The dark magicians' effect during either player's turn, he wasn't wrong. It's one of the few cards that doesn't mention 'quick effect' or 'during either players turn' but you can activate anytime, if you meet the condition. If it just said, "once per turn: draw 1 card" then you can only use it during your turn. But since it also listed a condition 'when a spell/trap is activated', once you meet that condition you can draw a card, once per turn. But yes, they should've added 'during either players turn' for more clarity.

Soul Servant's GY eff works on the same turn you said next turn in the video.
I was trying to say that if you use it during your opponents turn, you can use the graveyard effect the following turn. I was unclear.

Konami does not hit legacy cards ever. They are more likely to hit every spyral card than hit one dark magician card.

Has awsome synergy cause when u destroy shit by combat u can return a special bad to ur hand including the secret of dark magic u used to summon it and reuse to fusion
U can use it to fusion the dark magicians and have so much other synergy
Especially when red eyes fusion comes you better be rubbing 3 phantasmays for obvious reason the extra synergy it on its own plus use it to fusion summon. Red eyes fusion

Why not playing neither Magician's Right or Left Hand?
The new dark magician continuous trap negates spell/trap effects and so does navigation. It would be a bit excessive. More likely to play secret village.

@@astrocomete They are. DMoC is a brick that doesn't even do anything until the end phase (too slow) and Ebon High's effect is mostly pointless.
You probably won't be able to make a rank 7 until turn 3, and by that point his effect isn't even helpful because you probably already commited most of your backrow to disrupting your opponent on their turn and you would rather just go into Ebon Illusion and try for an OTK.

Most of those cards got common reprints. A lot of veterans just put in shiny cards to bling out the deck.
Only the new cards are expensive. All of the old dark magician cards will cost like 15-20 total in their lowest rarity.
Yea, you can still play the old version which is solid by itself and not expensive.

Instead of Magician Soul, would it be better to play pot of Extravagances. souls it looking to be a much pricier card than the spell card
Pot of Extravagance conflicts with Soul Servant so i wouldn't recommend it. A budget alternative would be incorporating a spellbook engine or maybe playing 3 copies of allure of darkness but having souls is such a must for Dms.

Extravagance makes it so you have to play multiple copies of every fusion monster and reduce the number of total link monsters since you don't want them to get banished. Magicians souls' is much better for the deck than pot of extravagance since it solves the problem of getting to dark magician on turn 1 and gets rid of dead spells. Also extravagance conflicts with the new draw cards.
