@@myliebiii Yep, I do :) I got the promotion and currently I still work on board of EIP trains, but as a train manager now ^^ Nothing changed tbh since my last comment, everything looks exactly the same. The seats in 1st class are most commonly for 259 PLN on the Warsaw-Krakow route, in 2nd class prices start from 49 PLN, the most expensive tickets are for 169 PLN. It depends mainly on whether there is plenty of free seats or not.

Następny przykład to wypadek Pendolino.

Alstom - company that was taken to court in all countries in Europe where their trains were implemented (for bribery) and only not in Poland. Generally - we have better Polish trains. It was one of the the biggest, most expensive flops of the ruling party at that time. First class is OK but 2nd class is totally mediocre. Polish PESA Darts are more awesome I think. With Pendolino there was a lot of bad reputation here in Poland, first they were very problematic and faulty. Later there was lack of comforts in them like wifi, charging ports etc. Now after fixing they are OK, but for the cost of traveling sometimes it's better to take second class like with PESA Dart or older ones.

It was and is supposed to come down to under 2 hours (likely around 1:50 hrs) eventually but the modernisation of stations along the way is mostly what's stalling it and (plus just the overall laxed attitude towards timeframes demonstrated by the track management company PLK). This line will remain a mixed use line and Poland is planning to build a separate HSL, however it is progressing extremely slowly. It is absolutely true though that the train is very comfortable and it's a joy to ride.

As someone who uses these trains quite frequently, I can unfortunately say that they are far from perfect. First of all, they are not 'true' Pendolinos - they don't tilt. As a result, they are only a bit faster than the standard Intercity- and Express Intercity-branded services. They are, however, significantly more expensive - often 40 or 50% more, for what is only a marginally better experience. PKP has arranged the schedules such that most of the trains at convenient times are Pendolinos, thus forcing you to pay more. On top this, despite not being very old, they haven't been particularly well maintained or cleaned. I was once on a train where the entire overhead screen assembly - metal housing and all - fell right down onto the aisle. Thank goodness nobody was under it, or it could have really caused serious injury.
