I like this watch…and bezels can easily be replaced. And despite the $1000 more price tag for ceramic bezel from the factory, a replacement is far cheaper. Longines is purposely affordable! And I appreciate their history and the decision to keep their watches within reach of “the common” everyday person. I would not hesitate to own one of these! ❤
It just felt a bit to big and bulky as I remembered because of the long lug to lug and the over sized crown and guards , its a solid watch and from a great brand , But just didn't do it for me unfortunately Kyle
I have this watch. Strap is dreadful but the watch itself is absolutely marvellous. +5 per day over last 8 years and 4hz sweep......think newer ceramic one is 3.5. Criminally underrated brand. Enjoyed vid. Bestwishes from North of the wall
This is an old video and one of my first ones to be fair, I agree with you in regards to the 4hz side of things but when it comes to underrated I really wouldn't say that they have so much coverage on the net I must of reviewed a load myself PS being 8 years old I'd say yours is coming up for a service Sir
@ClickSpringReview ha! Aye, it was serviced 4 Years ago by longines. I rotate with a Glashutte Original and n Tudor black bay. The GO servicing is heavy on the wallet.
Have the 41 red bezel, Arabic numerals 51 lug to lug. Have it about 5 years now and can’t fault it. Great GADA watch. Longines are under the radar a bit now but still make fine watches.
Ma786sai dua wonderfully done video God bless you. The 41mm Aluminum bezel black dial Hydro Conquest that I acquired today is an extremely well-kept hardly used 2009 piece. And at 500 usd I pulled the trigger
Love this now "older version". An mm is good size for me. A nice detail is the red dot on the seconds hand, the ceramic versions don´t, to my knowledge, have it.
Lovely review of this piece. The points you raised have made me think about buying this, over just going out and getting one. Crown guards are weird and I do agree with the round hour marker comment being a different “language” to the rest of the dial. Thanks again and sub’d👍🏾
Ma786sai dua yes this aluminium bezel 41mm version of 2008 with 28,800bph is a handsome robust dive watch. I prefer it any day over the ceramic version with the tuned-down 25,500 bph. I just bought this older version a few hours ago. I have 10 Rolex watches and some other watches, and felt myself gravitate towards this piece today.
@@mylogify It really is a British humour thing, I don't keep pets myself but do like cats and dogs , I have a feeling you wouldn't of like the Bunny Suicides Calendars I got my kids every year :)
I have this watch in black, 2 things i don't like about it are the strap is rubbish either to big or to small so now on a leather one and the lume is also rubbish for a £1200 Swiss watch is unacceptable!
So even with the 3 levels of micro adjustment you can't get the right fit ? what are you expecting from the lume Simon ? its ok not the best, Seiko and Rolex normally have the best Lume. This is Longines entry level watch it has good finishing and at the price a good movement, If lume is what you are after should of gone with a Seiko or even a Marathon watch with its tritium tubes. For me I'd take the Laco Atlantik or Sinn 556 at this price point
@ClickSpringReview bracelet is just not suitable 4 my wrist, I've got better lume on my cronus and sanmartin, so I'm paying all that extra 4 a Swiss movement, the nxt one will be a tudor for me when I retire in 10 yrs then!
@ClickSpringReview hi,well funny u should ask as I have a bb54 cronus homage with the pt500 movement which is a great watch and awaiting for the bb58 version to arrive, I have at 5 homage versions ie sanmartin which are very good 2,I like the tudor bb58 but won't be going 4 the bracelet this time probably on a leather strap as it's a big lump and although I have big mits I've skinny wrists.i do have a an older version of the tag aquaracer, which is a quartz but hardly ever wear it!
The crown guards and crown are the Longines logo if you turn the watch 90 degrees clockwise.
Thanks for the info Sir

How do you get the bezel replaced? I like the older handset and the newer bezel.

The Longines is a ETA 2824 as I remember so at are place would cost £225 👍🏻

Its a good which but the over long lug to lug is a bit of a deal breaker for me Dermott

Thats a fair point regarding the red dot
Great review! Thanks for that!
Anytime Artie glad you liked it

The new versions have a cleaned up dial you might like that better
@@MrBacchus18 Ive seen it Mark does look better

I do like some of the newer Longines model like the Zulu timer a lot but this one didn't really do it for my Cyrus
44mm I could pull that off, even with the lugs. This version looks more rugged than the new ceramic version.
This one really don't do it for me RJ its a good watch but.....
The crown guards on this watch look like airplane wings to me. Not sure what i think about that. it looks odd.
Yeah it’s there thing I guess
tf is that book
It’s a funny cartoon book about a 1001 uses of a dead cat 😆

For a Swiss movement and original design , I'm not sure if your going to like the Tudor which one are you planing on getting ?

sounds like a sensible idea going with a leather strap
