Samson looks so sad watching the horses coming and going. I would love to see a video of his first release back into the pasture. Thank you for your caring nature!
Joel your work ethics is amazing, you could have said no it's too cold and I'll do it when it's warmer but not you,you just carried on regardless, your family must be so proud of you.❤❤❤
Gavin, Great choices of music over the past several videos. Additionally, you are making Joel look good with your editing 😅🤣😂!! Thanks everyone for all your hard work with the horses and the videos. John here, photographing the beauty of the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee, y'all.
To Joel and the stable life. IM ONE 100% Totally VERY much SORRY FOR watching your videos so late at night. I have been watching the news about the California Los Angeles wildfires it's so so sad just say so many people have lost their home the businesses the cars and more everything's is burnt crisp.
Joel 👏👏👏👏👏👏 Persistent really does pay off it's amazing by doing a bit at a time pays off. The fact that that you didn't let the size of the project intimate you and just soldered on is to recognised and truly admired WELL DONE 🤩🤩🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Love from the UK x
Joel. What a great job you are doing and with a smile on your face. Makes it so enjoyable to watch. And let us never forget those gorgeous horses. Sampson is being such a good boy with his treatment and being confined to the stable. ❤❤❤❤👏👏👏👏👏
Good job Gavin and Joel bless you for letting uses join you on the stable life and all the care you put into each horse and to all the others that help as well . I would trust you all with my animals . Is the roof of the barn doing to have a V shape or a kind of straight so far up and flat across? Well on top of 12 plus 1 to 3 inches. Plus now getting 2 to 4 inches today close to 19 to 20 inches of snow with ice . This past two weeks . More shoveling again. Wow ,Joel that is awesome everything is cut to size going to be cool. Glad Sampson is doing a little better ,I feel for him a beautiful horse.
Great video guys, love the way it started. Whose idea was that? That was a great beginning. I don’t mind hearing Joel talk, but it was a very different beginning. The music was perfect.
Another great video. Can you show video of someone walking Samson? He looked kind of sad poking his head out of the stall watching all the horses come in.
They are Saw horses because you could lay a log across them and cut the log ( when cutting big timber) and saw that large piece of timber. And also Kids would also climb on them and ride them like they were a horse. Hence Saw Horse. I could see it now back a long time ago some farmer or woodsman moving big timber to clear land or to use the timber to cut for firewood ( thinking in their heads how sturdy the anatomy of a horse looks and deciding in their mind that the sturdiness of a horse anatomy would make a great tool to hold a piece of lumber!) anyway I was just trying to answer your question about the saw horse . I googled it also and this their answer: Straight away, the saw part made complete sense, because the same type of structure is also (and was originally) used to support wood being sawed. With a saw. And, well, it looks like a horse! And you mount things on it, like a person is mounted on a horse. 😊lol
I can see how much more comfortable you are today, as opposed to the other day when it was way below freezing and windy! I'm with you though - it would be better if that covering of snow stayed where it is as opposed to mud, but that's not a choice we can make! Good progress!
Sorry , Joel. This was for another channel. Mucky Mansion. But I must say you and your family Rock! I have learned a lot about horses watching your channel. Your channel is awesome too!
Definitely enjoying watching the hay barn going up! My mom and step dad, his 3 sons and his 3 brothers and me built our house when I was in middle school in the late 70's! LOVED IT! Graduated and started hanging dry wall and roofing houses! Did that until I got pregnant with my 1st child. Sure loved it! Loved seeing the horses coming in! Stay warm!
We got snow now too. I got stuck on our farm lane on my wheelchair. I was helped by our two farm dogs they are Bernese Mountain Dogs. They pulled me back to where I got traction.
Your workstation legs which you are seeing wood on is actually called a.saw horse. Apparently they resemble a horse. I would of guessed because of work horses but would have been wrong lol
Thank you so much for taking us along with everything you do!!! My husband and I absolutely love them!! How much did you save by building the trusses yourself??? Just wondering. Also, we thank you for taking ALL THE EXTRA TIME to record and do all the EDITING too!!! Thank you, thank you!! May God overwhelm you and your family with blessings!!
I really hope to see you adding a lean-to on the downhill side in a year or so. More loafing area under a roof for the horses, and extra equipment storage too I'm really praying for a bale grabber for you, and a new potato digger and a couple other things for the Veggie Boys. What can I put on the list for Grammy?
Excellent video editing, Gavin. You always keep them interesting. Joel, do you need equipment to raise the trusses for installation? I don't think a tractor would be tall enough to lift them high enough and assume those will be heavy.
This barn was your mother's idea so how come you seem to be the only one working on. Sure Gavin does help occasionally but mostly it is just you. Why aren't your parents involved in it on a daily basis?
Wikipedia explanation; In woodworking, a saw-horse or sawhorse is a trestle structure used to support a board or plank for sawing. A pair of sawhorses can support a plank, forming a scaffold. In certain circles, it is also known as a mule and a short sawhorse is known as a pony. The names come from the shape of the frame, which resembles a horse. Yuppers, I can copy and paste. Smart, ain't I 😅🤣😂

Have a good night
Poor Samson, he’s getting tired of his treatment, we’re all looking forward to him doing better and able to be back with the herd.❤❤❤❤❤❤

Nice.
I love your music intro while watching the daily chores. Then open up to your project of the day. Good video idea!!
If only more of the younger generations worked half as hard and smart as you all do,,,,,,, wow!
Good job Gavin and Joel bless you for letting uses join you on the stable life and all the care you put into each horse and to all the others that help as well . I would trust you all with my animals .

I think all of the horses are beautiful and well taken care of keep up the good job
Another great video. Can you show video of someone walking Samson? He looked kind of sad poking his head out of the stall watching all the horses come in.
Four legs and a strong back - a real work horse.
Winter Weather is getting Worse by the Day so keep the Momentum moving Forward. 🤔👍
Isn’t it hard to work in the cold weather ?? Glad Sampson is doing better !! 😀😀
Good day to all.

How does your glue hold in that weather?
😀💪👍
Joel, Two Words. HEARING PROTECTION!!! Never use power tools without it!
Guess you didn't listen to him. He wants to hear and does use ear buds.
@@eileenmcdonald1599 I heard him, then I researched it. They are not safe for hearing protection.
Where I come from
We got snow now too. I got stuck on our farm lane on my wheelchair. I was helped by our two farm dogs they are Bernese Mountain Dogs. They pulled me back to where I got traction.
Hey Joel remember the leaf blower!
You can tilt the saw up to ride on the front edge to blow the sawdust off the ply wood.
Because saw horses sounds better than saws cows. .lol
We use metal gang nail truss plates on trusses here here in Australia.
Your workstation legs which you are seeing wood on is actually called a.saw horse. Apparently they resemble a horse. I would of guessed because of work horses but would have been wrong lol
Thanks Joel! Did you consider using steel gang nailing plates?
my concern is the 4x4 post with the wind

I love the snow. Keep doing you Joel. Your the best of yourself. Hey is Megan a stable life girl or a veggie girl. 🤔🤔🤔
Yes
I think they are called sawhorses because they have four legs and a straight back to carry the weight.
Now don't you wish you had bought premade trusses. Could have been all done by now before weather really gets bad.
I really hope to see you adding a lean-to on the downhill side in a year or so. More loafing area under a roof for the horses, and extra equipment storage too I'm really praying for a bale grabber for you, and a new potato digger and a couple other things for the Veggie Boys. 🥰 why in the world would you pick winter to build this project for
Excellent video editing, Gavin. You always keep them interesting. Joel, do you need equipment to raise the trusses for installation? I don't think a tractor would be tall enough to lift them high enough and assume those will be heavy.
Yes we won't be using the tractors. They don't reach high enough. Stay tuned 😉
What is the blinking chip/label on your jacket while you were working at the hay barn?
Heated vest
This barn was your mother's idea so how come you seem to be the only one working on. Sure Gavin does help occasionally but mostly it is just you. Why aren't your parents involved in it on a daily basis?
If you watch other videos you would know why. Many have more than one job.
Dad has said he has a full time job not at the stable or farm. He said he helps out when he can, they also don't film daily

Don't like the music in video's. I don't know why people think you always have to have noise. BUT I love watching. Just mute or skip through it.
