Golden Sun: Dark Dawn - Boss Theme One [Extended]
Вставка
- Опубліковано 3 жов 2024
- The game picks up 30 years after the first two games in the series left off. At the end of Golden Sun: The Lost Age, the heroes succeeded in bringing the world-healing power of the Golden Sun back to the world of Weyard. In the years since, the immense power of the Golden Sun has changed nearly everything. Continents have shifted. New countries have emerged. New species have appeared. But the world is now imperiled by a new threat. Psynergy Vortexes, which suck the elemental Psynergy from both the land and power-wielding Adepts alike, are spreading across the world. The new generation of heroes - the children of those from the previous games - are drawn into the mystery behind the vortexes, as they cross a chaotic world that is succumbing to a new evil.

Actually one of the better boss battle themes of the entire series.
Fucking cliffhanger endings for this game were too strong. xD
10 year old comment....
i loved this game... never understood the hate behind it... PLEASE NINTENDO MAKE CAMELOT MAKE A 4TH GAME TO FINISH THE STORY... dang it...
The hate isn't because it's a bad game. No, it's a great game.
It's just not nearly as great as GS1 and GS2. That's where it comes from.
Many fans put their expectations too high. And I agree. I love this game. I'll stand by Golden Sun to the very end!
Micheal Forguson
the reason im not as fond of it as the others, well golden sun lost age, not only extend and complete the story, after a MASSIVE cliff hanger, but allowed us to bring over our progress form the first one, the same items, level, dijnn and everything, even increased the content by a ton if you did so. there was none of this in dark dawn (not hard to see why) making it hard to top that. plus there was very little mention of what happened to felix, or any of the others, very little info about what happened to them after TLA, then the one part (I at least) cared about was the very end, what exactly was going on with the black holes and stuff, and BOOM cliff hanger, isaac and garet are missing. the most interesting thing, what we thought the story was REALLY about (not that whole moon and darkness gun bulls**t) and we have no idea about it. and then the whole light and dark elements, ok their cool, really, but should only be a "new" thing, there shouldnt already be a cult that was hiding the whole time. and alex's role was SOOOOOOOO disappointing. he supposed to be like aiezen form bleach, the mastermind, plotting everything, using everyone, and everything going as he planed. he was a straight B***h in dark dawn. and his mask? please, im sure they must of heard enough about alex form everyone to just be instantly suspicious of any Mercury adept other then peirs. its dumb, they should of just made alex be responsible for the black holes, as a plot to become more powerful, and been done with it. they could even keep everything else, form party memebers to hearing nothing about the other heros, and it would been better, i hope, that if they make a 4th, they make it worth my time.
You know...this is EXACTLY what I was talking about when I said that fans put their expectations too high in this series.
There's several unanswered questions that I hope get answered. The Psynergy Vortexes and the Umbra Clan are tied together somehow, otherwise that machine in the Konpa Ruins wouldn't be able to make a Psynergy Vortex. Isaac and Garet mysteriously disappeared. I think we can assume that they were captured by the Tuaparang. Or Alex. Some of the Warriors of Vale are never seen nor heard from again. I wonder what happened to Felix and Sheba. Everyone else you have either a clue or you hear about them directly from an NPC. Jenna's in Kalay, along with many other refugees from Vale. Ivan's there, too. Mia went back to Imil and had two kids. And Piers is roaming the sea with Nowell. I'm not expecting these questions to be answered, but I hope they do.
I would love an HD remake of the first two games.
I'd also take a sequel to Dark Dawn.
Sinbad profile pic? Nice
A sequel to dark dawn would be nice I'm still addicted to golden sun games gimme more! 😂😂😂
Sadly, I think the series has been forgotten...
Still the best regular Boss theme in the series in my opinion.
Yes. Either this one or Saturos' Theme.
@@fishofgold6553 Well, Saturos absolutely beats this, but that's also a special boss theme, so I wasn't counting it.
@@Arksimon2k Oh, yeah, you said 'regular' boss theme.
I AM A HUGE FAN OF ALL GOLDEN SUN GAMES!!!!!! i really hope they make a new generation SOON!!!!
I'm sure they will. It will definitely be for the 3DS when it does :3
Roland Collides And with it, comes along Golden Sun: Dark Dawn 3D Remastered. :>
Oh dear... Still waiting
Ily holy shit dude.. just saw my old comment on this.. damn 6 years and still waiting lol
@@sentinellord5024 Let's still hope aha
I've been a fan at heart since golden sun one came out. golden sun one got me pumped for part 2, part 2 brought me to tears because I thought it was over and now the legacy continued to 3 were issacs kid is the hero..I will always be a golden sun fan I really do love there games Golden sun 4 will be epic i know it will!!!!
i'm the best fan of the world of Golden sun, my favourite game, i love it
1:04 favorite part...something that makes it seem more intense to me. Shame most of the bosses in this game were easy, yeah, but it was pretty fun.
Except Dullahan, fuck that guy
Welp, i think Hero is the closest thing we're gonna get to a Golden Sun rep in smash for a while
Dark Dawn was just as good as the original and The lost age, imo.
I never played the first ones this one was my first and I loved it
Considering the first one had a slight identity crisis, yes this one is better than the first. Nothing beats TLA
They will eventually do a golden sun 4. Alex is the real villain and has yet to be beaten and all the final bosses of 1 - 3 apparently are way weaker than him
How many years has passes since dark dawn? I highly doubt that
Its sad but gotta move on
Play Octopath... it's similar. One of my favourite game on Stadia..
GS1 Alex is not stronger than Saturos and Menardi or the Doom Dragon
GS3 Alex absorbed the golden sun so yea he probably is stronger
False information. There is no proof that Alex is stronger than Saturos/Menardi/Chalis/Blados. He's just a cunning water adept that can teleport.
@@mechwarreir2 I played these games since I was a kid. The first 2 games built him up like he is exceptionally powerful. I believe Alex is the strongest in the GS series. I'm 30 BTW. I know golden sun by heart
You would think that at some point Nintendo will run out of franchises to publish on the Switch and then we could get our Golden Sun 4/Collection. But it's 2020.
We still have 3 more years fam ;n;
2024, still nothing
more than 3 years left my man
This game series has consistently done so much right, and so little wrong . . . why the hell does it not rival games like Zelda and Final Fantasy in popularity?! The storyline, the music, the character interaction, the puzzles, and the visual effects all met or surpassed expectations. Was there not enough advertising? It's just not fair.
Thank you for your reply. While this does clear up some of my frustrated confusion, it also raises the question of why games like Final Fantasy 8 became so popular with the mainstream crowd. FF8 was arguably an even greater degree of more-story-than game. Perhaps it's because of the graphics and the preceding reputation of FF7. Ah, well. It won't keep me up at night wondering.
+BogsySenpai Legend of Zelda games don't have you reading one hour of dialogue? It's all secrets and solving puzzles.. There's way too little story.
Actually my favorite theme of this game
Still waiting for the next game nintendo :'(
Probably my favorite of the regular boss themes in this series the intense and progression of the track really gets things going and can’t help but head bop to it. 0:40 and especially 1:04 slaps so hard
Patience is the key to success.
I hope this goes for Golden sun as well.
I really don't understand all the hate on Dark Dawn. Yeah it was a little too easy, but the story was really good, the gameplay was solid and fun, and it still had the soul of a Golden Sun game at its core despite being a little different.
The only thing I disliked is the roadblocks and the amount of talking. Everything else is true to the series.
soccerthepkmnmaster Exactly, I agree completely with that. But people just seem to over-exaggerate that flaw and act like it ruins the game, when it's really just minor inconveniences.
i love dark dawn
The Goldsmith I think two of the biggest issues are that there are point of no-return, as well as the plot holes in the story.
I was a level 99 Squire and beat the story, but I had to start another game because I never found Moloch, Ulysses, or Zagan. They were all impossible to get because I couldn't go back to those areas, which was a really terrible decision by the game makers.
Not to mention while still ungodly awesome Every single summon in the game is reused from the GBA games, only one New summon was added in. still loved the game a lot the Gameplay golden sun offers has always been Unique and spot on.
I totally raged when I saw the ending for the first time. I mean I did enjoy the game, but I really did think it was going to have a conclusion. And now there's no word on another game. Nintendo and Camelot are such trolls
easily the best part was hunting all the summons and creatures just for collectors sake, but i really loved how they introduced the darkness across the map where everything turned grim and dark filled with monsters. i simply loved the random worlds and strange lands the game introduced, from rocky mountains to a dream world to a sewer system and tropical island and even the edge of the world which all had something interesting.
Golden Sun 4 ;~;
Six years since and no announcement made yet...
Everybody gangsta till fans make their own golden sun 4 in roblox or other plat forms
Me: Oh no! A giant plant! What do I do...what do I...
*Sees Isaac tell me about Meteor...*
Me: Oh right...
Matthew summons Meteor!
Me: BURN BABY!!!
I really hope they make another game. It would be good for a lot of people psychologically to have closure.
2020 and we still have no sequel :(
Me : "Oh my ! A giant dark Plant ! What can i do....?"
*Look in summon menu*
"Of course !"
*Summon Kirin*
"MUAHAHAHAAHAH ! BUURN !"
Considering that unleashes increase in power due to the attacking Adept's elemental values (for instance, you can make Megiddo hit far harder if Matthew has a high Mars attack power) there appears to be a link between weapon unleashes and the adepts themselves, almost as though they're some kind of offensive psynergy channelled through the artifacts that are capable of unleashes.
*Going into battle*
*See Isaac standing like a badass*
Ok, just like past times, i'll use.....WHAT?, IS NPC?!?!
Jin Kisaragi Issac and Garet could probably take that plant guy in one round with some unleashes or powerful moves but instead you get Mathew and Karis who both can use such amazing moves as...fireball....and growth..........yay.
*F*
1:19 to 1:35 would always make me eargasm and go crazy. During those few seconds of the theme I would find my fingers moving super fast and every move I made was backed by epicness.
Imagine composers like Michiru Yamane, Yoko Shimomura, Nobuo Uematsu and Motoi Sakuraba working together on the Ultimate RPG game. The music of that game surely will be beyond our knowledge. They have nothing to envy to big musicians like Mozart, Haydn, Bach and so.
both the music and the game are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gaia falls are the waterfalls that are the edged of the overworld map, they've been around since TLS.
That's not what I'm talking about, I'm talking about the massive waterfalls that won't let you get to the rest of Warard.
I've played the first and second games, but this is new to have falls dividing the oceans
I'd give them this ...... The ost is way better than the previous two games
A real headbanger, great track :)
I have a feeling we have to wait 30 more years :(
Still waiting to find out what happened to Isaac.
Dark Dawn was a decent game, but really, they could have done so much better. I couldn't get into its story and gameplay like I did with Golden Sun and Lost Age
The only problem I had with this game was that you couldn't backtrack without hacking in some areas. Still, I did enjoy the game as well as the series.
If only they had Teleport like in Lost Age, the synergy that lets you revisit towns. Could've placed it in Crossbone Isle if they didn't want you backtracking before the final boss.
@@JASpiring Ether that or give our ship the ability to fly.
I may be hated for this, but i think this is the best regular boss theme of the series. I love all three of them though.
Thank you for uploading this.
That bass
This is quite cool and really captures them hopefully hard and few boss fights of this game!
Thanks for extending this! :)
Ojala revivieran esta entrega porque la verdad tenía mucho potencial
I wish they used this more in the game, this theme is just awesome!
I think so, I'll have to check my game booklets.
I have hope they port the three games to the switch as a collection (with some convenient updates that ports should get like FPS boost, fix some old issues like glitches, etc.) and release the fourth game later on though this is wishful thinking.
I find it very easy to listen to this for 15 minutes.
I demand hour loop.
I LOVE Motoi Sakuraba! His music is so distinctive, melodic and amaz!!
I remember I was stuck at the three army guys in the ruins, I just couldn't get past the paralyzing (I didn't use items cuz I was too young and probably brain dmged) and then while I was sleeping one of my first friends I ever made destroyed them, I was happy.
the end, good story right?
did you ever finish the game
Cala say,
Did you ever play Golden Sun 1 and 2?
@@fishofgold6553 nope, just dark dawn
@@lonleylink507 yeah lol
Such an amazing track. A pity absolutely none of the bosses in the game deserve it.
MayhemMessiah Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha thats hilarious
+ALPhaubber9 The bosses in this game were some of the most easiest things ever. It was easy to kill them, all you had to do was just kill any monsters that appear naturally while running around, and use summons.Honestly, Mayhem is correct. The only hard bosses were the secret ones, and the final boss.
Christian Lowe Not even all of the secret ones. Dully was the only one worth dirt. Star mage was hillariously weaker, and the dumbas ogres that got stronger just meant you had all the time in the world to setup.
MayhemMessiah I actually had trouble with Star Mage. He kept healing himself and it took a EXTREME strategy to win. I had to basically get rid of all of the healing orbs and keep the ones that didn't do major effects/major damage. It was TOUGH..
And I haven't beaten Dullahan yet..@_@
Christian Lowe That was the same original strat to take his ass down. Kill all the balls except Thunder ball. You'll be eating 2-3 plasmas per turn, but the dude is pretty usless without Protect and Heal Balls.
Dark Dawn couldn't even do that right, however, because thanks to the dumbass new unleash mechanic my biggest hitters ocationally used an unleash that hit 3 people, and I kept killing the balls for something out of my control.
im at the point where i just got Amiti and I must say, is it me or does Tyrell sounds like he is complaining to the creators of the game for constantly going off course?
@hawkssuns08 I couldn't agree more whith you, it has the perfect mix of rythmic(why we love so much goldensun'S music) plus that epicness and sense of urgency, plus a "building up" part.
@Aure217 true this game was the introduction of a series of event yet to come. psynergy vortexes linked to m. aleph then we might get to see about the outskirt of the new Weyard, and then the Zenith Tribe and their forbidden psynergy dark(mabe also light). We might even see a rival to the Golden Sun, Silver Moon(that is just plain opinion, but it was stated in sol sanctum in GS1). so there is so much to see its better that they detail everything and take time to develop every aspect for a sequel
RIP Golden Sun
When the first game came out the only one they had plans for was GS2, and that was because they couldn't fit both of them onto one GBA cartridge. It wasn't just 'we don't want to spoil this'.
New kid vs Blados (Boss Fight) "Chapter 8" *Act 1 Haos Contestir Vol 1.* This is always had the best first boss fight ever watched episodes. Because that would end this part, and until watch end finished show.
0:57 - Best part.
The whole region existed, albeit unnamed in the first two.....all those places existed if we're going by canon, on the edge of Lamakan desert, save for Kaocho and maybe Harapa
One thing I graded this game on was it's battle music, and this deserves an A+.
well I don't fully understand easter eggs to be honest, but I think this is what you're looking for I found a hacked dark dawn video that the venus lighthouse is still in the exact same spot from the first GS. believe me it's in this game however it is unreachable for now.
To me Dark Dawn is like Star Trek: 2009. They make it easier to attract many player and it is still good, though majority of fans hate them. About the plothole I am sure they make it connect and satisfy player much with newer innovation. I really Hope for Innovation unlike DD.
Memories! I miss this game! :)
@trentdude1 well, golden sun is known for its cliffhanger endings, although this is kinda turning into pokemon, as the basic setup in the story is the same in all 3 games, example: u have a fire adept, water adept etc. the only difference in them is the characters and minor psynergy changes, u always have a pair of villains, one male and one female, it seems like the characters were changed in each game, but given the same roles as their predecessors
There sure is a lot of white noise in this song!!!
They are the waterfalls that keeps DD players only at the eastern regions. The western half of the map is inaccessible, presumably for a sequal (?)
@OgnarPliskin not the only one witht hat opinion, i expected another fireball accuracy test to be honest
It was definitely an easier game, but I do agree with your point. The older games may have appeared harder, not just because we would have all been younger, but because the games themselves were new, and we were all just discovering that wonderful "Golden Sun" formula!
Having already been given two games to get used to it, it's no wonder that the third would appear innately easier.
I grew up with Dark Dawn without access to the first two, and while I absolutely love it, I'm going to have to say the entire game was incredibly easy, with the exception of those first three tuaparang scouts in the Konpa ruin, the Ice Queen, and the Final boss. Special bosses are always hard, so they don't count. Still an amazing game, but it was easy to begin with.
YES!!!
I'm dying to play it. Can't wait to see their explanation for the waterfalls ^_^, new summons, and what they did with the rest of the world after all this time.
Plus I can't wait to see what's going on with the story, they left a BIG cliff hanger.
true, there were parts of the game where I kept thinking "GO RIGHT THERE, OH COME ON GRARRRRGH"
but a true fan enjoys the game regardless
and I got to the point where I can go through the game and not miss a single Djinn
This is my favorite boss theme from any video game ever.
Honestly, I don't really care about any of the GS series stories. I play so I can hear beautifully composed epics like this integrated with insane fantasy battles.
@WhiteKnight11000 Yes PONRs can be a nuisance but it depends on the game. FFT had that annoyance of doing it on the LAST mission which is REALLY hard if you are not prepared. Mother 3 did a couple POTRs like after Chapter 5 you can't go to the optional boss in the castle. Or when you go on the Limo to the last area of the game. Mother 3 pulled it off nicely because there wasn't ANYTHING necessary or valuable to get before the POTRs really. This game did it WITHOUT warning a couple times. (cont)
I liked the game too, but the biggest draw back to the game is the story, there essentially was no story, no lighthouse to light, no weyard to save. No teenagers to go on a quest chosen by fate, no motive to really empathise with the protagonists. I waited 7 years to hear the continued story of Felix, Isaac and co. Not about some children running an errand that their parent could have done in 5 minutes. Every golden sun game ends in a cliffhanger, this one is no different.
that probably explains the half-an-hour intro (including the cabin scene)
DAT BASS!
I seriously can't stop listening to this. I really love this song, the same as I love the Golden Sun series.
Garet and his crazy stamina always the last one standing. He had all my water of life.
While we're on the subject, I really don't mind cliffhanger endings because I'm assured that the series will continue. With Golden Sun I WANT the series to continue because its such a beautiful story and at the same time, nostalgia at its finest. Golden Sun has never been a truly original series, but that's the glory of Golden Sun; it reminds us of what we used to play. The Elemental Stars were ripped right from Final Fantasy 4, for example
I won't downthumb you because you were expecting a full fledged amazing game. DD wasn't supposed to be that....this was a teaser for the following game. The developers said this is more of prequel.
I agree, but after waiting so many years it was great to get another taste of golden sun, even if it was ridiculously easy. :D
My take on the 3rd series of Golden Sun is actually more of an introduction to the newer fans of the series rather than a sequel for the hardcore fans since the technology of DS are just introduced and the writer thought the game is for newer player base than the older one. Shame their decision backfired so hard that the game just ended with cliffhanger for more than 10 years.
We want golden suuuuuuuunnnnnnnnnnnnnnn 4
getting that last Energy Tank in the Mothership
then facing Robot Ridley with 100% items on Hard
Yeaaaah, but it's hard in a fun way
well there's no other name for it except for Gaia Falls, they must've been affected from the Golden in the second game and besides the next sequel will provide answers as soon as it's available.
#reviveGoldenSun
I would totally eargasm as well :3
@luminozero oh yeah, lets not forget the cliffhanger endings, they spam those too.
I can’t listen to this normally cause of Mario’s Flying Circus, it only sounds normal at 1.25x speed
a lot can happen in 30 years, plus, the regions have been altered, and some even moved, by the Golden Sun Evvent...the Ei-Jei region was never explored in the first two games
the best game i play
やっぱりボス戦2よりこっちの方が人気だな
It's called having an opinion. Just because he liked the game and you didn't doesn't make him "the obedient lap dog of the video game companies!".
Dat immortal slime boss....
That is true since we didn't know much when we were younger so we just play it and got stuck and die more than we do now since were more older and smarter
aww no need to feel down I didn't play the first two GS games when they came out because I'd never knew about them but when they did I heard it took about 2 or 3 years for TLA to come just think of it that we're halfway through for waiting a sequel. :)
Reminds me of Ys
@TheOriginalSolicious Of course there's going to be a sequel. It's like a game where the final boss shows up and then just ends. It's going to continue.
very true
Think about it...Dark Dawn came near the end of the DS cycle, so perhaps GS4 comes near the end of the 3DS cycle??? That would mean it's actually considerably close, huh...
I sure as hell hope so! I mean, they ended Golden Sun Dark Dawn on a _MAJOR_ cliffhanger! I wanna kick some Zenith Clan/Tribe/whatever (or whatever the fuck the clan name of Blados & Chalis was) ass!
You feel exactly the same as I do.
Jonathan Solorzano (High fives fellow awesome person)
I totally agree, although the music was my favorite in the series. And I liked the first three main characters and Amiti.
