Great video! A lot of your experiences are similar to mine, though I didn't come out until much later. I came out after college about a year or so ago, and I regret not coming out sooner. I always knew I wasn't straight, but I was deep in denial. I didn't realize it at the time, but I was very depressed while in the closet. Once I accepted I was gay and came out, I was so much happier. While in the closet, I was about 120lbs overweight. Once I came out, I made so many positive changes in my life, including losing all of that extra weight. After coming out, I realized that the only person that had a problem with me being gay was me. There's always going to be the homophobes out there, but we've come soooo far in the last several years and we're continuing to move forward. I wish you the best of luck in life. To everyone in the closet, it really does get better.
Seth, thank you. I have taught and counseled over 8000 young people as a teacher and counselor. Bro, you are saving lives in so many ways with your video. I just subbed to you and just found you. Thank you........Ray
I really appreciate your openness and what you went through and the mature way in which you handled it. I think that your story in this video will be very helpful for those who need to see such a positive side of coming out. Keep being you.
That's how it was for me. I've always known ever since i was very young, always felt this attraction for other guys, even before i knew what the word "GAY" meant, (other than meaning "happy") let alone the word sex. never was into sports, still not. Im out though, and proud of it. And gay is AWESOME! (sorry for the edit).
You're intelligent, articulate, and soft spoken, never mind very attractive. Being comfortably grounded in your sexuality amid those who support you is a huge plus. I foresee great things ahead for you. Your story is oddly similar to mine in that my family was very supportive despite my growing up in the semi-rural west, never mind coming out in the late 1960s. As Spock says, live long and prosper.
Seth, u really have a fluid, fluent, open & honest way of sharing ur Coming Out experience. I listen to all types...but in addition to being physically attractive & orally gifted, you portray yourself as intelligent w/o over inflated gestures or vocal intonation. In other words, ur easy on the ears & eyes while making sense in a way many of us can relate to 😉. I wonder if there's an app that mixes the features of UA-cam & Tindr/Grindr. There likely is, but is eluding my mind at the moment) but I think stories like yours tend to display ur life-outlook & intelligence, which in turn, gives me hope there's new honest boyfriend potential out there. Raised outside Chicago, I enlisted in the military serving 6 yrs in the Air National Guard, even deploying for duty req'd in The Pentagon & at Andrew's AFB. They were during temp active duty summer semesters off while living on campus @ IL State Univ full time earning my Gov't-paid bachelors & starting my masters. As a midwestern boy, I don't find as many of my kind in Ft Lauderdale where I moved to at 24. Here, many are tourists (1-nighters) or come from NY & expect to be showered w/materialistic attention + Corona Virus kills the chance to meet/talk with new guys at bars/clubs. Grrr. But we have an enormous LGBT population including a gay mayor. I haven't touched Grindr in a long time, so most of us are in a holding pattern awaiting our normal lives to resume. Depression creeps into the lives of some & income is a serious problem for many. I dont know where u live, but S. FL has had record highs like 97 in Mar/Apr. I admit lacking energy to keep up on cleaning around the apt & we never know who's carrying the virus, so I'm hesitant to invite over friends or acquaintances. I'm not a big cook lately & keep going to the store for pre-made salads, subs, fruit & Merlot/Moscato, of course, lol. Wish ur hat was off, to see that adorable hair I know u have! Thx 4 sharing ur story, too bad it couldn't be face 2 face. Stay safe.
Thanks for your comment Joe and thanks for your service! I'm currently exploring going into the USAF as an officer and might start the application next month. I have always vibed with the midwestern mindset despite being a northeastern born, southern raised guy. Yeah it's hard to stay upbeat with COVID, I'm blessed to be doing ok financially and school wise but it's hard to be away from friends. I have had a bit more time to relax and actually try to get on Tinder some (to talk, not to hook up haha). Grindr has never really been my style, not that it is bad just not my preference. Also, when my beanie is on my hair probably wasn't looking that great haha!

Thanks for sharing. I am 77 and I've been out for some time. But I am still coming out today. Its an ongoing process. On gay marriage in Australia, we had a voluntary marriage equality survey nationally in 2017. If every one had voted in the same proportions of those who DID vote, the Yes vote would have got 77.5% and the No vote 22%. A landslide victory. I have lived through the years when I could have been sent to jail for up to 21 years just for being gay. Those laws have been overturned thankfully. All the very best.

You carry a HEAVY BURDEN. Have the courage to Pray. Failing to seek out the direction of the SOVEREIGN, insures we will move through life seeking guidance from HUMAN BIAS, IGNORANCE AND DISTORTED PRECEPTS. You are in my PRAYERS.
Something that bothers me is the narrative that "gays act this way". That's like saying "all blacks act the same" or "all Hispanics speak Spanish". Only less true because as a % i have met more "straight acting gay men" than Hispanics who don't speak Spanish (quite a few) or blacks who don't meet the stereo type (quite a few).
You do realize that not everybody is going to be excepted just because that they are gay it doesn’t make them any different from anyone else but some families allow religion get in the way of it but it is normal to ask questions about sexuality but it’s not normal to be kicked out from your families home or anyone that has gone through that so I want you to know that I want you to also know that some people who are gay just disowned by their own families because they allow religion get in the way of it so what do you have to say about that in a video request

Being Gay is NOT a choice. Being Bisexual IS a choice, i.e., being attracted to both sexes is a CHOICE. You choose either boy or girl. But being Gay, you're only attracted to the same sex (not a choice). Straight people are only attracted to the opposite sex. If a Straight person argues that it's a choice, all you need to say is the following: "You, who are straight, chose to be with the opposite sex. That means you were attracted to BOTH sexes and CHOSE the opposite sex, right?" You'll then hear a pin drop on the carpet, and he or she will be at a loss for words. Countless Gay, as well as Straight, are loving, caring, sharing, and productive human beings. God does not make mistakes. In his infinite wisdom there's a reason why a certain percentage of the population is Gay. Why are some people left handed, while the majority is right handed? Same analogy. Period and end of story.
I disagree with what you said somewhat. The earlier you realize you are gay like 4 to 7 years old it's probably not a choice. Today there is so much pressure to come out and schools are encouraging this behavior. It's almost as if they want you to be gay. So I believe kids in their teens are gay by choice partly because kids are being indoctrinated into this lifestyle. That's my take on the issue.
I urge youu to get centering. I keep seeing people are gay but i really dont think its longlasting or evenTruthfull..you are soooo gorgeous keep your friends and you may get maŕied to a princess one day. Stranger things have happened. You sound pretty normal. Get on eith life. Lol
