I remember loving to watch my big brother playing this game. I wasn't able to play it myself then, 'cause I was too young to understand English and think strategically, but now when I'm much older, I curious to see if I'm able to learn to play it. Thanks for this video!

2019 and I picked up the game today for nostalgic purposes, and the fact it's on sale on Steam. Thank you ~ As a kid I had no clue what I was doing back then, but the graphics of the game always got to me

i too bought about same time and till date 2022 i haven't learned to play it, for the reasons of that advisor saying food Rations are dwindling i don't get it🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️ and such thing in that area.

But yes i too want it this game long ago but i didnt not have or knew about PC building till 2017 i use just drool buying them PC magazines and look at all the nice machince, this was in 2012 only had an ipad Apple. but some 2014 bought a Laptop 2014, and said heck with it 2017 decided to first buy Pre build, then build my own, so started buying all games i meissed out on, as to why some games i know little of, but mu friend may sen like a simple game is rater difficult especially like you said when in Ur younger days how hard it was.

It's 2022 and I have been playing Stronghold since it first came out. I still love it and it's always different when I play it.

Great video! It helped a lot. I have played a ton of these type of games, but I struggled to come up with a strategy because of the lack of a tutorial in this one.
Non-Alpha Gamer the tutorial can be accessed in the main menu by clicking on the book. Unfortunately it doesn't teach you about units and building a castle

Question: Do you have to micromanage? Or do the Peasants carry things that need to be done for you once the buildings are placed?
they dont need to even do that the building appears ones there are sufficient resources and you place it.

Do any resources on the map run out? And if so can you trade for them perpetually?
@@Amadeus8484 yes. just watch that you do not over mine the trees as they grow back at a certain rate.
@@Animation445 Can you buy wood or replant depleted trees? :)
@@Amadeus8484 you can buy wood. Or wait for trees to grow back but they only grow back next to other trees so if u take out to many they will stop.

6 months too late but. At the bottom of your screen there is an X. Click that and then click on a building. The x is left of your minimap.

Do you know any more games like these please.. I played age of mythology in my childhood and I loved it... I also played this during childhood but I found it extremely tough.. I am gonna give it another try...

It's not but I made it because I remember struggling as a child learning to play games like this.
what mode is this you started in for the sake of this tutorial??? i bought this in 2019 and didn't play right away + that tax, and food rationing the folks are either pissed or happy when you give no taxes and full plates and you don't get shit LoL to make zero sense so you have to keep managing that slider to gain gold and food its a constant, these fools always unhappy. Hopfuffy this will help been looking for other videos but they either don't explain what Ur wanting to learn or most all are multiplayer tutorials. The lack of in-game Guides or tutorials unless i missed a manual? glad you took the time to explain to people that don't know, and for keeping this Tutorial and stuck to the "Basics" thanks you Niki4. As a beginner what mode do you think i should start to play? I'll follow UR guide till i ever learn man a simple game can be or is rather difficult, man i played other makes that i thought were going to be hard were actually easier than this game here. Also you played Stronghold Crusader 2 ??? you made any tutorials on that game?
I dont remember the mode since i played this years ago but its probably custom game or something. The tax works in your favor if you do things to make you people happy to ofset them being unhappy from tax, such as feeding them more, bulding a church.

@@ThisOLmaan The game at its core if fantastic, it teaches the player in a way that other RTS dont. Mostly around the economy, i feel it had benefited me in real life later on. You have limited space to work with , growing your kingdom/ millitary cost ever more resources and your population required more and more food but if you are not aggressive enough you will be knocked out by another player. I hope you lear enjoy and learn from it.
@@Animation445 : well glad to know it benefited you in Real Life like WoW man serious? well one wont know unless you try well happy you can learn something to use for Lifes means, also guess you cant leave ue taxes or food unattended one must keep a watchful eye. Been wanting to learn this game for so long i even Hidden it in my Steam Library cuz i was so frustrated i couldn't learn to play it but i decided to give it another try, and continue to search for a tutorial to teach me the Basic found Ur video👍🏼 i mentioned mostly other videos don't mention the simple Basic one need to learn, from a simple game many thought was, but it wasn't as simple LoL.
