I'm def buying the Limited Edition of this but if we get the Rating beyond M for the physical version you guys would be beyond goated for such a release
I don’t think we’ll go farther than a M Rating as the consoles owned by Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft would never go to the Adult Only 18+ Rating as they prohibit that rating on their hardware though PC is the only hardware that allows that rating to pass as consoles pretty much banned that rating for their games.

OMG my deep wish has been granted!! I'm the biggest fan of the DERQ games and I've been wishing so hard for a 3rd game. This is Roguelike and is not named "3", so maybe it's a spin-off? Either way I'm SO excited for this!! Granted Roguelike really isn't my favorite genre at all (it's like the "Anti-RPG" since progress is wiped, and an RPG is all about keeping progression with many things) but still, this has all my YES, I hope Yuki Sugiura will return on the OST also. If this has returning writers from the previous games I know it's going to be gold (a very dark shade of gold, hehe). I'll never say it enough: the future of J-RPGs is bright with initiatives like DERQ1&2! I loved them so much. Will deffo buy the limited edition for this one as well to show my support for this awesome series.

Persona 3's moral!! (a game where you literally shoot yourself in the head every time you use a skill in battle, to face your fear of death and gain the power to summon your persona from doing so - and I'm still so obsessed about that feature, doing the gesture IRL, and actually DERQ1 was the only game which had a part which got me almost as crazy for like 30 minutes - and DERQ2 had inspiration from Persona 3 also with the Dark Hour)
I like that the concept of a Roguelike game will likely be justified here from a story perspective (you start from scratch all over again when you die). In DERQ2 the "death ends" were literally a condition to unlock the hidden ending (which ended up being one of my favorite gaming moments ever) so in Code Z with the "death ends" maybe directly integrated with normal gameplay I wonder just how far this will go in the madness, and what they cooked for us.
I literally screamed from joy at work when I saw this new DERQ game being announced in the newsletter email. This is so great. I'm so glad that they have the means to keep making DERQ games even though it must not be very well-known (doing my best to spread the word though). I dare say DERQ is Iffy/Compa's best initiative ever in terms of creativity and being unique and daring.
We didn't get to see much from this video but it's only a teaser. I'm looking forward to the trailers.
DERQ2's trailers are some of my favorite trailers ever, the one giving away the perfect "Resident Evil" eerie vibes, and the one showing the Dark Hour-like animation and teasing that amazing last boss battle BGM "Running Out of Miracles" that I affectionate so much (even though it ended up being shorter than I expected).
A tale of parallel universes sounds interesting, maybe they are stepping up the depth and lore of the world even further. DERQ1 was quite crazy with some of its meanings and DERQ2 gave us some answers but we were really only scratching the surface... The potential of these games' world is insane... (literally)
And that makes me think, at the end of DERQ2 we had an additional cutscene with crazy twists and revelations that was teasing at a third game (you had to select "Continue" on the title screen after clearing the game to see it so it was kinda hidden), I wonder if it will be relevant in Code Z or if it will be kept for a third numbered entry.
Anyway this is amazing. Long live Death end re;Quest.

It's called "Code Z" because it's rated Z in Japan, because it's supposed to be far more gory than the last 2 titles...

Z in Japan is usually still lesser than our M or equal to it I don't really remember. Look up Z rated versions of Resident Evil.

Tell me about it, I ALREADY got shivers from the Rin torture scene in Death End Re;Quest and Shina's death in Death End Re;Quest 2 (Both cases do a good job at giving you a mental image, lol)
Not sony. Japan rating board actually censores gore and violence since the 90's.

Likely Rated Mature 17+?...is this one censored on the Nintendo Switch and/or Steam as well? Or have companies localizing finally embraced the realization that Sony of America isn't an industry leader for anime and games in the West and is only in charge of their own platform. Whatever ethics department or third party corporate investor is pressuring developers and localizers alike needs to be ignored; as they are costing the developers and localizers both money, frequent customers, and just wasting time.
Don't censor on other platforms and keep the 17+ M rating or above;
Or alternatively follow Bayonetta 3's example in having both an uncensored mode and censored modes.
Were the uncensored version of the costumes ever released for the previous games for the Nintendo Switch if not can we have them patched in as well?

I'd hate for another game/anime series to go the same route that the Date-A-Live series did. The anime got heavily more progressive in censorship after season 2, instead of delivering on the expected decrease of it.
Fans are now skeptical that the new Date-A-Live game, as well as other games such as the Neptunia Series, would be influenced by the changes as well.

@@infernoshadowblade9549 I think their action tell the answer not by post or by their mouth by saying " we are abandon PC". Look at console so many Nep games still missing for PC. I can see from the number of feedback on steam on all of their games. I can tell it's poor sale. I think they were like nah let's forget to bring it to PC. I guess PC game era for IF is over and they go back to their original way that is console.
