Just before I watched the video I was thinking the Mark Ruffallo thing must've followed him everywhere all these years. Didn't think he'd confirm it in the clip.
They talked about it on "hypothetical" as well. And every guest on that show seemed to know the whole story. So it is, apparently, the stuff of legends.
I think Martin Freeman was kind of mediocre in The Hobbit tbh. I didn't see Anything extraordinary from him in those roles, he could've been swapped out for someone else, or an unknown new actor and it wouldn't have made any difference,
I have to say I remember thinking Ruffalo even surprised himself when that jab spurted out of him it was so unexpectedly savage. He really set himself up even more this time going so in depth about his love for kids shows and then that comment about fantasy. Freeman absolutely nailed his retort and then again on his follow through. I do find it funny in a slightly mean way how widdicombe is actually good at this kind of ribbing on the last leg or with his peers in the british comedy circuit but just got savagely roasted twice on Graham Norton. I honestly I feel a little guilty about how I enjoyed it because that's a pretty savage accusation even as a joke, but damn dude, you can't just tee it up like that. Nothing against his particular enjoyment of kids shows, but surely he could be a bit more careful about how he talks about it to make it less suggestive. Especially as a professional comedian, it's a touch more tragic, but also more likely. Like an electrician get zapped by an open circuit or a carpenter stepping on a nail. Hazards of the trade, practice good safety habits to reduce the risk of injury, lol.
1:28 lol, that "yes" was savage. I've never seen a man killed by a 3 letter word before. xD Poor Josh this is the second time he got burned on Graham's show and Mark's remark is a legend in Graham fandom.

I know we all want Graham Norton to host the Oscars, but have you ever asked yourself if he should? I personally don't think a man like him would want to.
Graham is primarily a UK thing and the Oscars are primarily an American thing. Most Americans wouldn't know who he is. I mean, it's there loss but it's still a fact. Personally, I'd like to see Ricky Gervais host and just start roasting everyone and everything again like he did at the Golden Globes. That's about the only way I'd watch the Oscars.
I know it's a joke, but it's sad that a comment from a celebrity could follow you this way and affect your life to an extent where people comment about it constantly.
Watched lots of British shows. Basically, these are just common interraction between British people who are warm to each other. In this particular case (the Graham Norton Show), the people are celebrities. It makes you cringe when you try to watch American shows after.
I am British and this is how knobhead men with tiny egos are "warm" to each other. A decent British person doesn't punch down like martin freeman did here. The guy's a creep ever since he left the mother of his kids.
@@victorialloyd1341 Riiight. Whatever he does won't be good to you because he left his family. That's your problem. I do like Martin Freeman. Although except for a few occasions (Fargo TV series, maybe?), he is always himself! down to mannerisms and all. A more capable/daring actor would have may be attempted to at least simulate the great Iam Holm-Bilbo's mannerisms to have more of a connection to that one character instead of, just being himself with prosthetic pointy ears/feet. Yet, I don't think the he ruined the movies neither. The trilogy is both entertaining, fun and full of action.
