Julia Gungor well tamera was talking about a chanel, my most expensive chanel was still under 6k. Im a college student but if I save up I can buy a new one in like 3-4 months
I'm totally with Tiffany and Loni on this. Tiffany just started to get some fame and started making good money she can't be buying expensive things like that. That's where a lot of people go broke. They see what others are doing and try to do the same trying to show off when they don't have the same kind of money the person has. @@sarasanic actually some people just enjoy spending their money on actual quality items that are going to last longer, its not all about the name, some of us choose bags without logos on it for this exact reason. a coach bag just isn't going to last like a Louis.
I agree with Sarah. I work hard too. No payments or any loans. I prefer spending more money on something that has quality and know it will last me than a cheap product that will torn. Then I got buy another cheap product...in a long run you actually saving you money.
I bought my first LV 2 years ago on the pre-love market with pre-loved accessories. I waited 28 years to get one (since HS!!!!) Pre-love is not what it used to be, these are in excellent condition!!!! It’s ok to spoil yourself when you’re able to once in a while. But I waited to afford a house, car, and get all my bills paid first!!! It’s ok to spoil yourself responsibly once in a while!
Choose your poison. You can never make judgements on how people spend their money, as long as their bills are paid. I love my bags, but I will not go into debt for them. You gotta have balance though. I’ll rock an LV bag with clothes from f21 🤷🏾♀️
Same here! Balance is key. Some people go out to dinner every week, nails/hair weekly. I don’t do any of that BUT I love a new designer bag once a year around Mother’s Day.
Alexa Nicole xo. SAME. I own quite a few designer bags some purchased pre owned. I do NOT buy designer clothes though. They re NOT worth thousands of dollars. Imagine how they ll look after a couple of cleaning sessions - with the exception of coats and maybe ballroom dresses they re NOT worth it to me at all. And that s cool. You re Right it s about Balance. I also don’t buy designer shoes so far for the same reason you walk on them they cannot possibly look decent for more than a few years if you wear them out !!
@Maya H how does judging benefit you or the person you are judging? Dosen't it unnecessarily take up a lot of emotional energy? And then what is the final outcome because you haven't helped them or yourself in the end.
@Maya H Hahahah. You seem angry, I just asked a few simple questions, and now you know my whole lifes story. Okay, whatever helps you sleep at night. Here's another question for you. Why is it that if someone disagrees with your opinion, instead of simply elaborating the first thing you do is deflect by making personal attacks based in ignorant assumptions? Hmmmm..... And what's wrong with having emotions?🤔
I am very careful with my money but my hubby gave me a Louis Vuitton on our 25th wedding anniversary & i love it & will cherish it for as long i have it
I like designer handbags, but I can’t afford them on a regular basis. If you can save up for one every year or two or however long it takes you I don’t see a problem🤷🏾♀️
It's good logic just not executed properly like she could have gotten a winners bag for around the same price that is technically designer (I got my sister a betsy johnson bag for 25.00 this Christmas.. I think the whole idea though of not spending money on a status symbol is super smart though and sends such a great message in a world where celebrities are constantly telling us to buy things that we can't afford.
So I deal with depression and have been diagnosed with PTSD... these four ladies are such a blessing in my life. I work 7 days a week and never have time to be with my partner which makes everything much harder for me. Just putting these clips on play helps brighten up my day. I always feel like I am sitting at the table with some of my best friends, as laugh together. I have such a respect for them and how “Real” they are I just seem to forget my struggles and join in with their talks. They truly inspire me to be ok being ME. I hope they see this and understand that God really has a divine destiny and each of these women truly impact their audience. I would love to thank them in person but this will have to do
I find spending thousands on a bag to be a fruitless expenditure. I own some designer bags, but absolutely have a limit. Coach is not designer, but I trust their leather and craftsmanship more than Louis Vuitton and Fendi for example. I'd rather have great experiences, a designer education or a designer house over a designer bag any day. At a certain level of expense, some things are just expensive so people can assume you're doing well. I don't have social media or watch commercials because I don't believe in someone else's idea of what's valuable or creating fake needs and desires.
Johanne E. Education is a far greater investment than any material object! Put money aside for that instead of buying ridiculously expensive things! Treat yourself by going back to school and opening up more opportunities for yourself!
I brought coach and Kate spade bags for just 100$ on sale. Nothing happened to them after using a lot . They look brand new . Why would you want to spend thousands of dollars on handbags when you can get good stuff at affordable price . I mean the only reason is brand name . If you want brand name then spend it. For me I like good quality stuff at affordable price than brand name . To each their own. But no point in getting debt over buying designer handbags or shoes . Not worth stress
I have seen some LV bags that looked awful.I have dooney and coach leather and they still look great.I think these brands don't get the credit they deserve.
I decided to splurge on myself and brought an $100 dollar pair of shoes. I couldnt TECHNICALLY afford them, like i had the money but it was also the day right after pay day... a week and 1/2 later, im down to about 50 dollars and i still have to make it til friday. Dont splurge if u cant afford it! I wear these shoes around the house just to get a good money's worth! Lol
keiwana danyell Hey, we all live and learn. I think a lot of us have done something like that at one point. The stores are appetizing! And shoes and bags can look so good on us in the store mirror! Lol patience is a virtue though..... one I'm still learning myself.
Amen do not spend money on ANYTHING you cannot afford. We kicked out tenants from our house and they were back due on 4 months of rent but were driving MERCEDES. Like are they serious? They must be having drug money because I swear they do not have a job.
Arielle The court system is a BITCH. We have two houses but this county is super LAZY. It takes a month to get a court date. We did the court papers in middle of October to make them pay us. When we finally get the court date that tells us like 2 days in advance no one could get off so we get a relative that's been taking care of the house to go but they don't allow it because his name is not on the lease and the tenants refuse to pay. Next, we file an eviction to get them the hell out that same day in November. That takes another month until we get a court date for middle of December. The judge rules in our favor but Due to GA law, They have 7 days to leave. However, because of Christmas and New years the Sheriff's office was closed for like 3 weeks from end of December to Jan so they could not get them out of the house. FINALLY we call in January to set up an appointment with the sheriff to get them out of the house and the earliest time they had available was the middle of January. When we finally went to get them the hell out they were still there with like 4 dogs and 3 cars in the driveway. They literally TEARED UP THE HOUSE. like Holes in the carpet, walls, doors ect. I wanted to kill Them. So yea 4 months not paid and $5,000 in damages.
When I was younger I wanted a Gucci bag, but I didn’t have a car, (I live in Chicago) so I was on public trans, and all I could think about was someone possibly stealing my bag....skip ahead I bought a car and thought I wanted a Louis bag, so I went to the store to check one out and realized the “popular” monogram styles weren’t even 100% leather, it was just coated canvas....smh needless to say, I wasn’t spending ANY money on something that wasn’t even leather...my dear grandmother passed and I received a few of her designer bags and LITERALLY can count on my hands how many times I’ve worn the bags! For my wedding my mom was going to gift me some Christian Loubs which I thought was ridiculous, and got some even cuter shoes for $80! I think we’ve convinced ourselves that just because it’s from a well known designer it means something....it does not!
I bought a knock off louis in Chinatown in nyc one time and it looked EXACTLY like the real one. Literally a couple of months later the purse was FALLING apart. Not cute at all and after that I never wanted to get a knock off again. Finally splurged on a real louis and a ysl bag and you really get what you pay for.
I love handbags, and it took me years to buy my dream bag! I’m enjoy it to the max because it’s a Chanel Vintage Jumbo, sometimes it’s good to spurge on yourself! 😏
I think knockoffs are tacky as hell and I agree with Adrienne that they are bags out there that are affordable that are of great quality that you can buy. I've never understood ppl that buy things simply because a person's name is on it, much less not pay their light bill for it. That's why some of these designers will take ppl for a ride and sell you a bin bag with their name on it cause they know some idiots will queue all day and night to buy it!!!😂😂. People are CRAZY!!!
As to the hosts’ comments about the ethical and humanitarian issues involving knock offs, there are just as much ethical and humanitarian issues with the “made in Italy” bags. A bag only needs to be 30% made in Italy to be able to have the “made in Italy” stamp. There are actually a lot of controversy surrounding designer brands, the people who tell themselves it’s worth $5000 to buy a “Made in France” or “Made in Italy” bag but don’t actually inspect where these luxury brands source their materials should really do more research, because chances are they are paying for the brand name than ethics. Brands are businesses, and if they can charge $5000 for a bag that costs $100 to manufacture, that’s a $4900 profit. Also there are plenty illegal immigrants working in illegally run factories making “Made in Italy” luxury goods.
Listen, I’m not gonna walk around with a knock-off to „look“ rich. Im walking around with my cute Zara bags that are all under $40 and look stylish as hell. Why pretend to be something I’m not? I’d rather spend that money on travels and things that really matter. Like organic fruits and vegetables, great dining experiences etc. same goes for shoes - I‘m not gonna rock no knock-offs because I want to mimic a trend. I’ll wear whatever fits in my budget and AGAIN, Zara and Asos are my best friend in that department. Sneakers I buy good quality, but that’s because I wear them a lot and work out in them. 😊
I've decided instead of buying meself expensive purses, I'd rather put that money towards nice family vacations. Making memories matter much more to me than materialism.
Brands like Michael Kors and Ralph Lauren aren't super expensive tho. If I like a bag I will buy it. So if I like a more expensive bag like my latest Ralph Lauren handbag I will not buy the knock off, I will by the actual real bag, but I don't mind buying cute crossbodies every now and then that aren't brand bags.
See the problem is when people buy something name brand and expensive, but cannot AFFORD it. People are so focused on trying to "stunt", they put themselves in precarious financial situations. With that being said, if you can afford it, there is nothing wrong with splurging on a little something something. I feel everybody should have at least one thing that is expensive, name brand and of quality in their possession. I went my whole life wearing walmart-target-ross belts, and a few months ago splurged on a nice low key coach belt. You know, just a little something something.
I'm on Tamara's side, I'm always on savingsmode. I bought 2 expensive handbags for 1/4 of the original price. I felt so guilty wearing something so "expensive" but then I realized its the price I would have paid for a normal bag. I gotta keep reminding myself it's ok to splurge once in a while.
I am DEFINITELY one to splurge on a great quality bag. If I was rich I would be splurging on shoes too. But a bag like a chanel or louis or Hermes NEVER LOOSES ITS VALUE! I Don't mess with gucci or fendi or those other brands unless I find them at a ridiculously low price online or warehouse because I learned the hard way that you loose your money in a very short time (fendi spy bag🙄). Shoes, although nice, get scuffed, walked on, stepped in dog feces, leaning on one side...and you loose you money on them.
I’m a handbag 👜 nut! I got my first Michael Kors as a gift at the beginning of the year and as of today, I have 3. I’ve always loved designer bags. I only bought the last two because I had the money to buy them. I’d love to have more, but I’ll wait until I have the money to buy. 💜 👛
I love affordable bags and inspired bags without any logos. I’ll get a luxury handbag at some point that I’ll pass down but I’ll always love my affordable handbags.
Ross, Marshall's, TJMaxx!!! Girl I could be an ambassador for those stores!! LoL I LOVE SHOPPING THERE !!! I am happy with my Coach bag that I bought at a Coach Outlet when it had not just 1 but two discounts on it. I think it ended up just being $70 vs $300 but I will use it until the handles fall off of it.
If you can’t afford the real thing than don’t buy it all. I would invest in quality handbags but paying thousands of dollars for one ain’t that deep 🤷🏿♀️
I just bought myself a Louis Vuitton neverfull MM for 1350. It’s my birthday gift, I also buy handbags from Ross, they maxx and Marshall’s. Only buy what you can afford , and make sure that your bills and kids are taken care of first. Don’t go hungry just to carry a designer bag
I love my Louie(s), I've been working hard since I was 15yrs old, I'm now 48, bills paid, no car note, house paid for....no cap, 'she's' rocking her bags!
Same here i’m not a fan of expensive watches at all. But I do love me my rings, necklaces and bracelets. Dont care how cheap or expensive they gotta look unique and different
Girl knock it off yes I have seen some knock off bags that clearly you can tell aren’t real but honey they are knock off bags that even the designer couldn’t tell it wasn’t original .
I bought a used “Coach” bag from a thrift shop. I honestly thought it was real but when I did my research, I found out it was a knock off 😂😣😩. But I still love it! It’s a nice purse!!!
I'm against knockoffs. Instead of wasting money on a knock off, use that money to invest in a non-designer bag that can still be of amazing quality. Knock offs are dead money - you can never sell them and get the money you put into it. Certain designer bags can be sold either for profit or you can atleast get back a good chunk of what you paid for it.
I had people everywhere I went commenting on my bag and wanting it badly! When I told them I paid $14.99 at TJ Max nobody would believe me! Btw it had nobody’s logo/name written all over it but it really looked good and very well made that it didn’t need to advertise!
Currently without a purse until the 25th (it's currently the 20th) since the handbag I bought from wal mart well over a year ago finally broke.. so I've been carrying around a Halloween themed ipsy bag to hold just the important things.. as long as its cross body, small, gold detailing, black and under $25... I'm sold. I'm lucky if I get $400 a paycheck (I'm paid bi weekly) so i have to be very frugal. It seems un real to live a life not having to worry if I have enough money to make dinner everynight. But hey, it makes you creative and extremely thankful for what you have. No complaints here.
My granny had this vintage Gucci sling bag and it's now with me. I swear it has never worn out! It's still so intact since the 50's or 60's when she bought it. In fact, it kinda got "damaged" when it was not used for years.
I don't agree. Bags, shoes, makeup, and bras are things you CAN NOT finesse. Bye! Edit: There's a difference between knockoffs and affordable, like Adrienne said.
The only bag I would ever get that was designer (if I were wealthy) is an Hermes, a limited edition one. Those things appreciate in value like crazy, better than gold. But unless (or until) that happens it's $50 or less.
One time my mom was coming with my to pick up my reportcard back in high school and she looked a mess. I was so embarrassed (being a highschooler) and said: mom omg you look crazy this is what you decided to wear? She looked at me and said "don't worry about I wear worry about what's in inside my purse" and while saying thst titled her bag over and opened it. Needless too say I saw enough hundrerds to let my mom look however she wants whenever she wants. 😍
Food, rent, bills, clothes, health insurance and at least 6 months of my monthly salary in my bank for rainy days and then designer bags. I'm male but i like designer too I literally just got a $600 gucci wallet 3 days ago
Years ago I went to thrift store and bought me 3 coach bags and a louis vuitton for $5.00 and they weren't knockoffs.rich people sometimes donate for the tax breaks.
I don’t understand buying the knockoff in this sense.... Why buy a copy ? Pay for the luxury item or enjoy an artist or tradesman’s luxury made item... i don’t get buying a copy for the status, when you can buy someone’s work. We will spend 70.00-4 thousands on status, but not for a bag made by someone who makes incredible quality and artistic designs? The status luxury brand names often started with 1 person working hard with a dream... Why do we no longer support them... or why do we mock the workers of today because we haven’t given their work “value”
Yes it is an investment when you buy a great bag it is worth every single penny. It doesn't peel it's just completely perfect every single time you go for it
Am I the only one who for some reason doesn´t like tiffany haddish and doesn´t think she is funny ? I don´t know why but there´s something about her that I don´t like.
I got a Chanel bag from my bf and it made me more anxious. I couldn’t bring it anywhere. I ended up returning it. I have a bag that’s $10 and people ask me where I bought it. It really doesn’t matter.
If you ain't got it, you just ain't got it fam. Nothing worse than seeing the co-workers with $400 weaves, fresh mani, expensive bag, but are begging to borrow $5 for lunch until pay day.

But LV is not that expensive 😊
I bought my first LV 2 years ago on the pre-love market with pre-loved accessories. I waited 28 years to get one (since HS!!!!) Pre-love is not what it used to be, these are in excellent condition!!!! It’s ok to spoil yourself when you’re able to once in a while. But I waited to afford a house, car, and get all my bills paid first!!! It’s ok to spoil yourself responsibly once in a while!
I’m in the same boat and think I’m gonna do it just once!
Loni looking extra chocolatey today!! YASSS girl WERK
She is glowing!💕
Jordi Em especially her arms
Yes that's exactly what I noticed too :)
Jordi Em she looks more like herself😍😍😍😍 wearing the right shade finally
Right!!!!!!
@Maya Hand you sound ridiculous to me too so we will call it even 😊
I am very careful with my money but my hubby gave me a Louis Vuitton on our 25th wedding anniversary & i love it & will cherish it for as long i have it
I like designer handbags, but I can’t afford them on a regular basis. If you can save up for one every year or two or however long it takes you I don’t see a problem🤷🏾♀️

jeanne violette completely disagree
Facts
It's good logic just not executed properly like she could have gotten a winners bag for around the same price that is technically designer (I got my sister a betsy johnson bag for 25.00 this Christmas.. I think the whole idea though of not spending money on a status symbol is super smart though and sends such a great message in a world where celebrities are constantly telling us to buy things that we can't afford.
I’m pretty sure Tiffany doesn’t go around buying up Fucci and Gucci with displaced G’s but probably liked the MLK spin the design was offering
You just gotta know where to get the good knockoffs that looks real and are well put together. 😉
I agree with Adrienne. I do not carry anything fake. I will by a bag, designer or not with no problem but fakes are corny and pretentious.
if a replica is well done noone is able to tell tho

So I deal with depression and have been diagnosed with PTSD... these four ladies are such a blessing in my life. I work 7 days a week and never have time to be with my partner which makes everything much harder for me. Just putting these clips on play helps brighten up my day. I always feel like I am sitting at the table with some of my best friends, as laugh together. I have such a respect for them and how “Real” they are I just seem to forget my struggles and join in with their talks. They truly inspire me to be ok being ME. I hope they see this and understand that God really has a divine destiny and each of these women truly impact their audience. I would love to thank them in person but this will have to do
I can afford designer bags - I just don't buy them. I'd rather splurge on a mortgage overpayment and a holiday.
Coach is a designer sweetie !!
@@destinysands1797 Thanks, it is what I meant.

I totally agree with Adrienne I will never buy a knock-off I rather just a regular no name bag that I like get out of here with a fucci yendi
The classic LV design is so ugly imo. Coach has some cute bags but the ones that just throw their logo everywhere are just not it.
Loni I don't know what Ross, Marshall and TJ Maxx you shop at they sell Michael Kors , Dooney Bourke , Kate Spade and they're decently priced
LOVE Tamera's hairstyle!
I love handbags, and it took me years to buy my dream bag! I’m enjoy it to the max because it’s a Chanel Vintage Jumbo, sometimes it’s good to spurge on yourself! 😏

Love it Loni!!! 💕 “You can pass down that Marshall’s bag too!” Yes🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I say, spend your money on whatever YOU want, however you want.

"If you can't buy it twice, you can't afford it." - Jay-Z.
That's stupid. If you can't buy two homes or two cars you shouldn't buy one?
I've decided instead of buying meself expensive purses, I'd rather put that money towards nice family vacations. Making memories matter much more to me than materialism.
But who told you that can't have a nice bag AND a nice vacation? It isn't one or the other.
what if youre rich enough to do both?
Beautiful ladies
Loni the chocolate 👏👏👏👏 yes girl
Yeah trying to show off, no one cares if u have designer or not...
“You can pass down that Marshall’s bag too!” -Love it!!!
I pay my bills save money so I feel I can spend the rest however I feel.
Every now and then I’ll splurge on a designer item IF I CAN AFFORD IT. But Steve Madden is just fine.
I dont believe they are referring to Michael Kors as a designer bag. More like Louis vuitton, chanel, gucci, Saint Laurent, etc bags that cost over 1k
I love affordable bags and inspired bags without any logos. I’ll get a luxury handbag at some point that I’ll pass down but I’ll always love my affordable handbags.
I'm the same. I don't like logos. I love quality items but I like if the brand is discreet
"U can pass down dat marshalls bag too" 😂😂😂👌
Rich people problems! Oh lord. It's just a bag. I use a grocery bag everywhere I go and it was free
I'm always surprised as to how the poor are obsessed with brands while some of the rich aren't
Because they can afford it. Only the poor are sitting around pocket watching.
I love Tam's hair today especially with the hoop earings
I love my Louie(s), I've been working hard since I was 15yrs old, I'm now 48, bills paid, no car note, house paid for....no cap, 'she's' rocking her bags!

wow i never knew they sell coach replicas. but Coach is so inexpensive
Saying Coach is inexpensive is a reach. Lmao if u think a 400 bag is cheap u must be rich.
Should you splurge on an item you can barely afford or pay rent you can barely afford... the choice is yours 😂😂😂 we all know the obvious answer ahha

The 10k can get used up the same way the bag can get lost/stolen. You never know.

I have one coach bag and it has lasted me 4 years. It's made so well.
Coach and dooney makes well made bags that will last a long time.I started buying both brands in 1996 and Lov it.
