In my OPINION 😅, I think is important to have a difference of opinion. It's a learning experience in many ways. That being said, there are a huge percentage of people or content creators that have the same thought process. I don't think it's right for someone to put their life on the internet in front of millions of people and expect only good or positive opinions. And a definitely do not agree with people blocking others BECAUSE of that opinion. If someone were to have a "negative" or different opinion, it's just that, an opinion. I can't imagine what it would be like if everyone thought the same way, it's just not very realistic .Having said all that, it's just so happens that I love your channel, lol. But I did want to put that out there just because I feel it's important.

Open relationships are not my personal style but I really appreciated the way you talked about why you prefer them. It really made me think about how I have assumed so much about others who have open relationships. I’ve never really come across someone who I seem to have a parasocial relationship with explain to me reasons why they deem an open relationship as comfortable for them. I assumed that it was just about sex and other major intimate activities. You have shown me that there is so much more! As I said, it is not my cup of tea personally, but I can understand why it can be very comforting. Surrounding yourself in so much love and no restrictions being able to vibe in other peoples presents with no limitations or worries about affecting your primary “significant other“. Thank you so much for sharing Hannah. I know that that was vulnerable and you opened yourself up to a lot of hate from one-sided individuals. But… You also educated, intrigued, and enlightened people with open minds like myself! Thank you for being you. And thank you for being a little cozy corner of the Internet, I can retreat to in the deep dark night.

the way you're explaining open relationships is EXACTLY what me and my partner are like!! like we love each other so deeply and wholly, while also recognizing and celebrating crushes and feelings and attraction to people that aren't each other! like getting to talk about who we both think are cute or when we have a mutual crush, the giddy joy we both get from sharing that human experience together while also sharing the solid connection of committed partnership with each other is so wonderful for both of our brains. i know a lot of people with adhd and/or autism (myself included) that find this type of dynamic to be the most authentic and fulfilling!! for us, we call it non-monogamy, like we aren't just hyperfocused on one person for all of our relational needs, but we are also committed to each other as partners and friends and lovers, and whenever other people come through our lives that fulfill a need/desire/experience, we celebrate that for each other! tl;dr, i am the same, i see you and hear you, you are so valid, neurodivergent brains deserve relationships and experiences and lives that work for us, even if they aren't the "norm" 💕

    • @ameliaheart5091
      @ameliaheart5091 6 місяців тому +3

Yes yes same I love this so much!!!❤
The excitement and sharing crushes part feels so full of love and cute and actually brings us closer together, it’s like your besties and lovers at the same time, I mean not ‘like’ we actually are… Me and my boyfriend (of 5 yrs) started being more and more open about this & exploring intimacy with others too recently, which is scary but also brings our relationship to a new level and opens our love evens more, because of the vulnerability, the trust, the deep love we feel first and foremost for eachother.

You explained your definition of an open relationship very well. Even if it's not my way I completeley understand and accept this concept. The hard part is to find someone who thinks/feels the same way I think. Otherwise it will be quite easy to hurt or be hurt. I have come to the point of my life that I found happiness recognizing the control i have over the silly things social norm requires. Now i am confident with thought that I am fine, it’s okay being not in the dock everyone boats are anchored with. What only matter is the love and faith from the people genuinely believes on you, even how small the circle is ❤

I totally know the whole idea about an open relationship. It takes a lot of communication and trust to have that work if your best friend lies or etc thats where I say I would be upset but also i agree about not holding people back from life. I feel the same way about relationships and the difference in opinion on how a relationship should be really held me back from actually dating cause i always felt scared that id wind up cheating cause i felt so openly drawn to people and felt ashamed. But I recently wound up in a very healthy relationship that intr me to those feelings being completely okay and that it just aligned more with ethical non monogamy/Polyamory. Which was such a huge breath of relief to realize I wasn't the one in the wrong i just needed to find my community. Love is love and however it works for you to find your happiness in life is honestly only up too you and those that you find that love with. ❤

Both of my daughters are polygamous and my son is monogamous. I think both are legitimate choices. I, myself, am sort of fluid depending on the relationship I'm in. All my kids and I are LGBTQ+. I think all relationship choices are equally valid as long as there is honest dialog involved, and all parties are in agreement, and communicate with genuine care. One of the reasons I absolutely love your channel is your openess about your truth regarding your choices. It's refreshing to see someone who genuinely just loves people for who they are, just living their best life, and is authentically themselves.

I completely get your open relationship thing, I'm more polyam naturally.
I don't like the idea of shutting off the possibility of new connections completely, for me or others I care for.
In practice, it can be a bit complicated since a lot of people are monogamous & they don't seem to understand it.

Im also in an open relationship ❤ and totally relate to what you are saying, I also don't think that you can get everything from one person, that's a lot of pressure. And my partner is a man, and I also like women. And me and my partner talk a lot about what a relationship means to us. We have been together for 8 years, and love each other so much, and are in love with each other, and trust each other so much. My partner is my primary, but if we meet someone that we want to explore with or have sex with, or kiss or just get to know, there is a possibility for that. This doesn't mean we don't get jealous or anything, and then we talk about it and do a lot of after care. ❤

I think Ethical Non Monogamy, Relationship Anarchy, or Polyamory could be something to look into based on how you speak of open relationships.

Hannah, I'm a 61 year young woman. I have always been full of energy and on the go all the time. I thought maybe it's because I grew up on a farm. Who knows.
I love your shows. I don't always like your projects. Actually, I have liked everything you've done except one for sure maybe 2 but you know what it doesn't matter. It's your house your life you do what makes you happy and what you like. What is your style today my not be your style tomorrow. Twenty some odd years ago I painted my kitchen and added some trailing ivy with stamps. I really liked it at the time not so much now. My husband and I recently moved and I am remodeling the old house. I have hired some of it and have done other things myself anyway the old kitchen is gone and a nice modern one has taken its place.
Keep up the good work. I love your house. It really does seem to be you.
Just an aside my almost 41 year young daughter also has ADHD and so does her dad my husband.

This is why “open relationships” are complicated because everyone has a different perspective of what it means to them and it usually leads to complications in communication.

I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking that way about a tattoo! I want one, but have been trying to decide on what I want for 20+ yrs and still haven’t come up with anything I want permanently on me. My grandmother just passed away at 101 yrs old. I’ve always thought about getting a tattoo in memory of her when she passed away, but she wasn’t a fan of tattoos, so not sure that’s a good idea either 😆

I tend to love reds, but I also really love a sauvignon blanc ... it has a bright citrus quality but is not sweet.
