I already purchased a juicer from you, John, and two years later, it's still working good.
I ordered the same Omega VSJ juicer that you use at home. Lol
John has the best customer service too! I love my VSJ843. Omega sent me a new bowl assembly when the juice flap broke but email service is really slow right now. It took a month to exchange 3 emails with the rep before they mailed the part. The time between each email I sent them was 10 days for a reply after looking at my email history. Total time was about 5 weeks to get the replacement part.

Very versatile. I what to be able to juice anything. Ginger, turmeric, pineapple, prickly pears, leafy greens etc. my lifestyle is very holistic. I make many of my own Tincher’s juices concoctions etc and have been missing a juicer in the equation for some time what would you recommend ?

Hey John, you are absolutely right about this juicer. We are daily juicers and need a machine that doesn't have parts breaking regularly. The drum assembly just broke AGAIN and there is literally nowhere online that sells the part. This means we can't use this juicer, which affects our health and well being. Is there any unlisted place where we can find this part? Omega themselves list the part as being out of stock, which is not surprising unfortunately. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Hello John. Thank you for your detailed review. I have a question about a juicer for turmeric. I have tried juicing turmeric with my vertical juicer. It is very difficult to juice it as it keeps clogging. Therefore, I wonder if you would suggest the juicer that juices turmeric well. I am thinking of buying omega nc800, but not sure if it is the best option.
I've had three Omega juicers(nc800, vsj843, vrt330) all have been great experience to own. I've replaced only the juice flap on the vrt juicer over the many years of using and owning these juicers. Also, Omega has great support from my personal experience and the website to order parts is awesome. You do have to pay shipping for your parts under warranty.

Thanks for making this video John. I have had some similar problems with this model. After 6 months of use one of the tabs on the drum assembly broke off during use. I noticed the replacement part had been modified with thicker plastic in that area. Now a few months later the silicone ring in the screen has an inch long cut where the adjustable cap comes in contact with the seal. Upon examining the adjustable cap closer, it has a very sharp edge compared to the 8006 model adjustable cap. This sharp edge is wearing the seal out. I had to negotiate with Omega customer service to get both parts replaced. We'll see if the replacement cap is any smoother. I feel this a design or manufacturing flaw that needs to be corrected. I wish I had watched your video before purchasing.

Do the NC1000 replacements parts fit the NC800? If so, please make a video about this and show us how different combinations work. For example: NC800 with NC1000 juicing screen / NC800 with NC1000 drum+juicing screen+end cap / NC800 with NC1000 drum+auger+juicing screen+end cap. I'm a NC800 owner myself and since I need a new juicing screen, I've started to wonder about this. The silicone seal at the back of the drum has also gotten loose after many months of regular use (leading to leakage from the back in some cases), so it might need to get replaced too.
I've had to replace two parts already for the NC1000 I purchased from you. Bought it about two months ago.

We had to return our NC1000 to Omega also.
We had the blank end cap break twice.
I agree, I don’t think this juicer is reliable.
We replaced our NC1000 with the VSJ843QS vertical juicer, and so far it has been working good.
I agree the Chinese made machines are a problem.
I don’t think I will be buying another Omega juicer after the long drawn out problem of getting warranty service with them. It saddens me to see a company like this get into the state that they find themselves in right now!
Hopefully they recover, and continue in business.
We had our NC1000 break twice in the first 3 weeks, we had already told our two friends to buy one, which they did, and both of theirs broke as well, the locking cap seems to be the biggest problem. They have however, sent us another juicer in the meantime, and are surely experiencing a defect in the parts on that machine. The 800 has been awesome so far.
I just spoke to an Omega Juicer representative and they have fixed the end cap issue on the NC1000. They must have noticed all the complaints about the end cap breaking. So this is no longer an issue.
Hey John. Thanks for the video. Great information. I have an NC1000 here in Australia. The end cap broke off while juicing carrot, less than a month old. I received a replacement part from Omega Australia within 10 days. I am really shocked that it broke so easily, hope this isn’t a sign of things to come. By the way should the main shaft move up & down a bit as it rotates ? Almost looks a bit bent to me. Keep up the great work Cheers. Steve.
All horizontal augers may have some "play" when its rotating, and that can be considered normal.

Hi John, do you also have comebacks on the 8007/8008 Omega range in terms of quality issues(breakages) given the fact that theyr'e also made in China? I'm aware of the pulp bypass issue with them, but thats probably only a tolerance issue. Thanks.
the 8007/8008 while made in China, have been out for many years now, and I believe to be fairly good running machines, as I hear few issues with them overall. They got the bugs worked out long ago!
I bought mine directly from Omega and it worked fine with greens and celery but it blew out of the socket as soon as I juiced carrots , exact same thing that happened to you . I have used many juicers from different brands over the past 20 years and have never had this kind of problem . That was mid march and they still have not responded , replaced the item or given me a refund . Do you have any advice as to what to do ? Thanks ! A

I would STILL recommend the NC800 or NC900 as it is made in Korea. While the NC1000 quality has improved since this video was made, I still believe the quality of the NC800/NC900 made in S. Korea is much higher (vs NC1000 still made in China)
Currently waiting on a replacement drum and end cap due to breakage whilst juicing carrots in my NC1000
I purchased this machine and on FIRST use, with beets, the end cap popped off taking a piece of the clear plastic housing with it, GRRRRR... I’m thinking that I should return it, while I still can, rather than wait for another, potentially sub-par, part. I am also abusive to juicers, as I juice enough for a month and freeze. I would be happy to purchase a juicer from you. Which is the best for taking the abuse of juicing for 2 hours, everything from spinach to ginger? I’ve used a Breville for the past 4 years, it’s quick and has never failed me, but does not do well with greens. Thank you in advance for your advice!
I've been trying to reach them its impossible and unacceptable. O.ega has been having these issues almost 1yr now and many of their juicers has been discontinued
Mine broke 3 times in 3 months and I returned it for a full refund.

Very good quality. I own one. But small if you are an advanced juicer like John and myself. However for an introduction Juicer for simplicity it is excellent. I just bought a fantastic Omega 8005 that is more powerful and advanced and I own a Solostar 1 Juicer that is excellent.

The NC 900 or 800 are tops along with Solostar juicers especially for leafy greens. I have the Omega VRT 400 and it takes longer to clean but no hand pressure or very little is required. I have the CNC 80S and it is decent but small . I bought a nearly brand new Omega 8005 for $ 58.00 and I love it. I would have bought the NC 900 but the deal was too good and I have a Champion and magnificent Solostar Juicer that takes longer to clean than the 8005 .
This happen to me it took over 3 months to get the locking clip. Finally got it and it he the plastic knosel broke and I am still with to get a response. I have only been able to use my juicer for a month..... So disappointed. their customer service is very disappointing. Tried to buy it from you but it was out of stock when we did.

They should of made the new parts backwards compatible. I have the omega 8006. The new improved feed and drum cap on the nc1000 seem so much better but makes no sense for me to buy a complete new set just for those improvements.
Is there a model like Sana 727?? It seems to be the best all purpose juicer, variable speed and with an oil extractor.

Thanks for your videos, but when I tried to call omega they don’t even answer the phone and didn’t even return enails, what’s going on?
They processed my warranty claim that I submitted via email May 2nd. I exchanged 3 emails with them before the part was sent but it took 10 days for them to reply to each email before shipping the part. They said there is normally a $9.95 shipping charge but waved it without me asking.
10 days sounds extensive but glad they handled it. I started relying to their Facebook ads before I could get a reply. I do believe they have an excellent product
I was on ignore from them too, until I shamed them with their poor product/CS on their Instagram posts. Somehow they reached out to me after that.

I have been trying for a few months to get a hold of Omega. I have the VSJ843 and it just quit. The motor stopped and I have not been able to use it all. I sent emails and nothing. My daughter has the VERT and one part breaks every few weeks. Omega won't get back with her either. I am thinking of replacing my Omega with a Kuvings vertical slow juicer. I am disappointed in Omega.

This is not an isolated incedent. Our family has purchased 3 of the 1000's, all three have had the same experience. I would have to say that they have sent replacement parts, including a backup 800 series while the new 1000's were to arrive. I still think it is an awesome machine, both 800 and 1000. Spinach and leafy greens are incedible for extraction, as well as fresh ginger and spices. I have hope that they will get the 1000 sorted out, possibly metal fittings, but I would still encourage new buyers to at least get the 800 in the interim.

Love your reviews, you dont see any reviews around as in depth and unbiased as his. Yet is your website outdated? The prices that you are discounted from are like 100 to 200 dollars more than the vendor website. Then the discounted for most juicers is the actual cost of the juicer as if you buy direct from vendor.

My Omega CNC80S failed after 2 uses. Grease oozed out of it, and it smelled burnt.

I drink celery juice most everyday, but generally its not straight.
I use to everyday but when I know I have big day, I can’t due to frequent bathroom needing.

I just found out NC 1000 is made in China and the originals are made in South Korea.

South Korea Manufacturing is at a higher level than China factories in majority of products guitars Juicers ETC...
