- Hey People ... thanks for looking at my video. This talks about the Champion Juicing Machine. This machine has been around in its same style/configuration for at least 40 years. The machine in this video was purchased in the mid-70s. Never been serviced ... works perfectly. It is a high rpm single auger machine. It is very effective at producing high yield quality juice.
If you are a beginner to juicing consider this machine as a starter. Easy to set up, easy to use, easy to clean up. Not a lot of pieces to fuss with and the pieces are easy to clean.
Secret .... get the blank plate and push thru some frozen banana ...... you'll love me for that tip.
Enjoy and thanks for watching !
Thank you so much for this informative video. I scored a CHAMPION JUICER -- just like the one in you video for only thirty bucks at a thrift store ! Great advice regarding stopping in the middle of the juicing cycle to clean the screen to avoid the accumulation of excess foam. Thanks ! 😺😺😺
Awesome !!! enjoy this machine it is life timer & you can use it for so many things ... $30 is a great buy !
just bought my champion, super excited
Reading Comments about people whose Auger is stuck on the shaft. They may want to try heating the Auger while slowly rotating it with a hair blow dryer or submerging the auger into hot water for 5-10-15 minutes, then pull it away from the motor. Heat causes parts to contract. Cold causes parts to expand, like freezing ice.
Mine’s 30 years old and works as well as the day I bought it.
Thank you! 🤗👍👍
I always have juiced spinach and romaine lettuce with my champion juicer. The trick is to put the greens thru and follow with a carrot.
Can it be used to grind wheat flour?
I have a question, I just scored one for 20 bucks! I'm over the moon happy. But it came with 2 paddle attachments. What would I use them for?
Anyone know why my champion is having black oil spit out from the middle inside hole of the blades part??
I need help. Someone borrowed my champion and I can’t get the round blade off to wash.
Quick question for when you did have a problem getting off the blade how did you get it off? I am actually trying to get my Grandfathers old machine going and I remember going to buy it use from a friend. so it is pretty darn old, it was used in the early 1970s. So any hints before I start at this thing with a hammer and a screw driver so I don't wreck something would be appreciated. Nice video.
I offered a few ideas in a response to a previous comment. The cutting blade (auger) can almost cement itself on if the shaft isn't/wasn't lubricated properly. This is critical with this machine. If you need to get nuclear with it I think it would be difficult to bend the shaft. It maybe equally difficult to destroy the cutting auger (it's solid plastic) ... FYI the auger can be replaced for about $40

got a juicer loaned to me from a friend - cannot get the auger blade off - saw a hint to use a couple of screwdrivers to get some oil into it. any other tips to get that thing off there. would REALLY love to try it out but wont until I can be the auger blade off - thanks
okay ... I understand your situation. 1st the shaft (metal) that the auger fits on is notched and the inside of the auger (plastic) is notch so it can only come off by pulling it straight out from the juicer housing (do not think that it "unscrews" or has any left to right play). 2nd this is a typical problem for people who haven't lubricated the shaft prior to putting the auger on it. Some ideas that come to mind. You might consider spraying WD40 in the gap between the auger base and the metal ring it abuts to. Tilt the entire machine downward and rest it on the tip of the auger and the front two feet of the base unit. It should stand that way. Spray the area. That will allow the WD40 to penetrate and go downward into the shaft. Might spray it several times over the course of 30 minutes and rotate the auger so a new area is being treated each time before trying to pull the auger off. When ready wrap the auger with a heavy towel (so as to protect your hands from the auger teeth) and pull straight out. Another option might be using vinegar rather than WD40. Or consider a hot water towel wrap. Or maybe placing the entire unit in the sun outside for several hours so the auger & shaft "warm up" you might just be able to pull it off that way. Hope this gives you some ideas. Not suggesting any of them will work if it is really stuck on the shaft. Be careful as the machine is heavy and the auger teeth are sharp. Good luck ! If you use the WD40 you should be able to clean it up afterwards with hot vinegar water and towel.
thanks soooo much - but it is stuck stuck stuck - working on it still not your problem thx again
thank you - you are awesome. I have ttried the hot water soak but not the WD40 - will try that. again thank you so much for your suggestions
@@susancolwell9187 I'm having the same problem. Could you let me know if you had any success in getting it off? Thanks so much.

That appears to be some type of food grade grease that creates a barrier between the juice that would roll back inside the machine and short it out.
Do you have an idea of how to get the auger off if it's seized on?
Sorry that's a tough one. Do not have a good answer. Maybe WD40 ? This is a downfall of the Champion in my opinion. It is very easy to have the auger get stuck and to avoid it you need to be diligent about greasing the stem that it fits on each time you put the auger back on the machine. I have used crisco, olive oil, lard .... all work good.
Slide a knife in the crack between the auger and the machine, work it gently. Clean it thoroughly and oil the shaft and where it meets the machine every time you use it.

I find that the pulp is slow coming out ? What could be the reason ?
a couple things come to mind. (1) sometimes depending on what you are putting in ... it takes a little while for the pulp to come out. (rotate the veggie type - greens, cucumber, apple, celery cucumber, etc. ) some the the veggie types do not run through as quickly and if you rotate what you are putting in - then things seem to pass through easier. (2) the blades may be dull (3) the blades may be caked up with debris (if this is the case turn off the machine, disassemble, clean blades, re-assemble, continue juicing (sometimes I do this regardless just to assist in the process) (4) Hard root veggies will tend to push things threw. Carrots, beets, jicama and so forth. Hope this helps
MarcaliniBambeano thank you for replying back . 😊
