@bootsowen Thank you very much for this video. I had a problem with our washing machine, it was somehow clogged with remaining water inside. I opened it from below as you showed and found an sock directly in the drain hole... Incredible. Saved some money for sure! Thanks again! Kind regards

I couldn't open my filter, it stuck and the plastic door handle snapped clean off leaving nothing to grip to twist it out (didn't think I was that strong, being a small skinny 52 years old woman who feels my Gorenje W9665K machine is altogether an unmovable 10 ton weight). Only thing I could do was to drive two screws into the plastic filter, since it obviously needed replacing anyway, and to my surprise the filter just then slipped clean out with a slimy clump attached to it. I find the spare parts supplier uk whitegoods to be very helpful in finding the correct part/s.
Because of so many cheap and brittle plastic parts that have failed on my washer (including the front loading door handle), I regret buying a Gorenje machine! :-/

Brilliant stuff, thank you so much! This may be trivial content but it really helped me out. I have a very similar model and encountered the same problem: I was not able to unscrew the filter, because it was stuck after half a rotation. So I found your video and followed your advice. Using a couple of cutlery knives as impromptu transportation locks, I turned the machine on its side, removed the cover and loosened all the hoses I could find. The filter just got stuck due to some unknown metal and plastic clips, but oh boy, when I removed the big hose that collects all the water underneath the wash tub... there was a whole sock and some weird plastic ball like 60mm in diameter! Got everything cleaned up and back together, now I'm just letting it run empty on 95°C so I hope my clothes won't be smelly anymore! :)

I think it is a valve so stop water getting pumped back into the drum/tub. either way, it is supposed to be there, but if it isn't there it probably doesn't matter? Maybe someone will correct me.

I tested this washer and it didn't work, so I made it spin and threw a brick in it and destroyed it. Then I brought it for recycling.

Do not, I repeat DO NOT tip the machine on the side, if there's still water in it (which there most likely will be given that you're having filter problems) it'll all go on the programmer and you'll end up paying 50 times more to get the programmer replaced.

It's a Slovenian product, Gorenje is a Slovenian company. And it's a decent washing machine, it does the job right, I don't know what you expected of it.
