I proposed to my wife after 3 weeks. We were married 14 months later, over 40 years ago, when we were each 27.
Awww. Similar here. Engaged after a month.. after I had broken off a two year engagement. My Mother slipped into eternity one month later. Married six months after that forty years ago last summer. I was three weeks from 23 and he had turned thirty three weeks earlier.

This is adorable, because honestly peopl who choose their significant others only a little bit after meeting them (ofc those that are trusted) and then propose truly know what they want in the world I think that’s how it should be. And ofc some marriages don’t work out, but you have to find your person, and you’ll definitely know when you find them.

my mom married my dad according to Indian marriage traditions. They had only met each other for less than 24 hours before they got engaged. They were separated because my dad went to school in Singapore for 7months and would write love letters to each other. They’ve been married for 28 years and it is so clear that they love each other.

My brother and his wife got engaged pretty quickly- not THAT quickly, but sooner than the rest of us expected. They were 22 and 21 at the time, got married about six months later, and have been happily married for the last 13 and a half years :)
They aren't perfect, but rarely have I seen two people so well suited to one another. She just fits, not just with my brother, but with our family. She's another sister for myself and my older sister. She's another daughter to my parents. Her mom is best friends with my mom. Her whole family is family now to ours.

My parents wanted to get married 2 weeks after meeting each other. Their pastor told them to wait. They waited a few more weeks and got married. They have been married for close to 35 years now. When i asked them about them waiting a little longer like their pastor said my mom always says "That was a waste of time and i wish we didn't listen to him."
The day we met, my husband told his best friend, "I'm going to marry that girl." And here we are, 30 years later happily married and crazy in love.

My husband and I were married less than 6 months from our first date, and have been married for just over 10 years now. We went into dating with the intention of finding a spouse and knew what traits we wanted in a spouse.
Me and my husband were the same way (except younger lol). We met junior year of high school and a few weeks after meeting we started dating. I believe the end of month two he told me he loved me, but that I didn’t have to say it back. A couple weeks later I told him I loved him and he gave me a promise ring (it was his Granny’s). And two years later we got married and we’ve been married for three years now. Happy, though poor, with two beautiful girls. 😊

When you look back on your life, these will be some of your happiest years. The money will come, but I can tell you from experience that long term it’s better for kids to not have much growing up.
I was 18 and my now-husband was 19 when we met. I knew he was the one immediately! He proposed 10 days later…we just celebrated 30 years! (And yes, we got a ton of negativity from people, especially my mother, but here we still are!)

It’s kinda sad though…she refused to go wedding dress shopping with me, so I took my maid of honor instead. Amazingly, she eventually chilled out when she finally realized in time how awesome her son-in-law was…but that was a solid year after the wedding. Some of my friends thought I was crazy, too…didn’t talk to some of them ever again, but some did eventually come around after I stayed married and proved them wrong. You really just have to do what’s right for you and your future spouse. I also prayed a lot!😅

Marrying her quickly was the smartest thing he's ever done. I no longer date men who can't foresee a future. Ben got me out of the pointless, sexually driven dating scene. I want more than sex. I proposed after three months and now I''m happily married for 23 years.
My parents were engaged by their 3rd date (after about 3-4 weeks) They were married within 10 months of meeting one another (they decided to wait 6 months do they could finish school)
They were married 50 years before my dad passed away.
That is also one of the reason why at one point i was thinking of ending things with my boyfriend (we are from different backgrounds) but realizing that I'm just afraid of other people opinions made the choice to stay with him easier.
Speaking as someone who knew my human was my soul mate by day four and got engaged about 2 weeks later and we are still going strong to this day: when you know, you know and you should act accordingly.

My dad first saw/met my mom at the airport where his parents were waiting to pick him up. He had just arrived from Germany on furlough. He returned to Germany 3 weeks later a married man. Fifty four years later they’re still married and have 16 children. (Yes, 16)
My Son in law knew on their 1st date! He gave my Daughter a ring week 3! It’s been almost 5 yrs and they have a 3 and a 1/2 yr old. He’s the best ❤ They balance each other. They’re absolutely best friends. I’m so happy for my little girl! His only flaw is he lived too far away 😢 so I don’t get to see them.

My grandparents got married within two months of dating, haha, but they had a fairytale love story and their loss has deeply impacted the entire family.
Though they insisted to their children to not move so quickly, their kids seem to not (yet at least) be having the same full graces in marriage. I've long wondered if moving quicker tends to be better than drawing the dating stage out.
What's funnier is they would have wed even more quickly but had to make 3 announcements in the local paper before they could have their marriage ceremony! [I don't recall the reason for that, if it was church related as Catholics or community culture regardless of religion]z

Moving this fast usually does not work out well, you don’t really know each other yet so there’s a good chance you will not be compatible. Happy it all worked out for him.
I'm just going by this tiny clip, so I have no idea how long they knew each other before they actually started dating. If you just meet each other and get engaged after 2 months, I can see where that may not be be wise. But if you knew each other for a while before you started dating, then that would be different.

When you know, you know. He was NOTHING like any man I had ever dated and still keeps me on my toes. I realized that I was too busy looking at how men looked instead of real substance and morals. My husband is perfect for me.

My husband proposed three months on the dot (coincidentally) after we were officially a couple, which was only a month after casually dating. Then we got married a little over A year later (primarily because I knew my parents wouldn’t be able to scrounge up the money for a wedding so fast). This upcoming May 22 will be our ten year anniversary, and we still feel we are absolutely perfect for each other, and truly understand each other better than others could.

Believe it or not this is how the world used to be. 20 would actually be considered late. And guess what these type of unions of love last!!!!
Identifying fears and working through them set us free just like truth does. Four kids later! God Speed Ben and family. Marriage isn't for everyone. What I realize is "that piece of paper" a marriage license IS important. It is designed to protect parties involved. Assets earned can be divided up. No to any pre nup. Love evolves and the manifestations of love change. Many days the Decision to love is powerful. Marriage I've found is work. To compromise.. ..balance. losing yourself raising kids letting go are all opportunities to grow and change. Grow where you are planted. Then on some days (this is when feelings aren't always facts) illusions take over and bam! one is questioning and identifying the other's patterns. Making a gratitude list takes one off as the center of the universe and brings us to a place however briefly to humility. Who else could tolerate our own shortcomings and nutness? But if one continues to build an iron cast case. then.....the S or D word is flung about. There are times divorcing takes a lot more courage than hacking it out totally miserable. Differences never to be resolved. Many couples stay for the kids. Permission is granted to split. Assets divided up....pesions fought over.....real estate....American Express rewards causes havoc. Madness ensues. Then we are invited to a wedding and WE attend. Men need the eggs....WOODY ALLEN
Clips in context are important Ben. After 2 months I'd still be afraid of; the guy not being serious, (potentially) being controlling/abusive/homicidal, wanting to force me to do things against my will or exploit me financially, lots of reasons. All of which have happened to women I've know who jumped in too soon. I know he's not like that but that's why you need to *KNOW* the person.

I just love healthy relationships and people. I don’t agree with everything Ben says persay in his political approaches, but he seems like a pretty wholesome human and partner for his wife. That matters and it makes me happy to see couples like this to help encourage others
My mother set me up.on a blind date. I was in love by the end of the date. He told coworkers the next day he was going to marry me. He told me he loved me on the third date. We eloped four months later. That was 30 years ago.
