really thumbs up for the honest review, really helps in making decision whether or not to buy this, this is currently on sale at very cheap price in Asia
Appreciate the look. I've got this inbound. It was interesting how you mentioned the Sideshow Dewback as a point of comparison. Now that one is definitely more in the statue catagory for sure (and is one piece I'll never part with-one of my all-time favorites for sure). I never for a moment expected this to approach that level of quality. Yes, the paint apps are good here, the pleather, fabric and metal elements keep this from completely looking like a toy and the seams (for the most part) are fairly well dealt with on the blurrg. Would it have been a better piece made out of a different material and cast as a statue? Sure, but considering the big licensing markup HT contends with producing SW figures, there probably was considerable debate during development on what materials to utilize and what approach the manufacturing of this would have to be not to totally break the bank. As it is, this is pretty high-priced for what could considered more a diorama-type piece as opposed to a posable figure. The saddle isn't removable, the jaw is almost static and the look of the piece really does have a toyish slant to it. I'll keep the order. I planned on displaying it with Kuill in the saddle holding the swaddled child and OG Mando standing alongside as you demonstrate. It's be my Mando S1 display. Don't need anything else. Thanks again for the great look. Always enjoy your videos.
Its all about looks and not about how it feels. Its on a shelf or in front of a camera and its about appearance, not whether it feels like plastic. I do agree with you about the mouth and tail lines. Last thing.....I like your video.
The mouth line is for sure for painting purposes. There is almost no good way to paint inside that mouth without the bottom jaw being a separate piece. So if anything, that would be my logical conclusion for the mouth. The tail, I assume it's just based on how they moulded the figure, but I dont disagree that since it comes as one piece in the box anyway, why make 2 parts?! I have no interest in the blurg but both those lines would not bother me anyway.
Awesome review!! Man really good paint work on it.. The seam on the tail, sticks out to me the mouth is covered up.. Not sure why they didnt mold the tail as 1 piece. I can see why they had to mold the bottom jaw as another piece.
When you were first showing this, what bugged me was how the seams really shown on the arms and the legs. It almost looked like the head had it as well. But at 9:03 that's when I saw the seam on the tail. Your comment about it feeling more like a toy really hit home with that. Then of course you picked up on it with your closer examination. I think for that price, they could have done a better job of masking those areas. Thanks for the breakdown on this!!!
Seeing this blurrg going for $350 makes me understand a lot more why companies like hasbro had no issue seeing a highly articulated rancor on their haslab go for that same price as this. Granted was made for 1/12 scale, but it dimensions were 27inches in height with arm span and 42 inch wide with arm spam and like said was highly articulated and this blurrg is 14.5 inches in height and 23.5 inches in width and it def didn’t seem highly articulated. But that rancor didn’t back and be sold cause so many of us felt it wasn’t worth the price and hasbro was price gouging us. But seeing how people are getting this blurrg for that 300 plus mark def makes me see why hasbro thought that $350 price was justified. Still can’t see the engine of greed going for that though. But hey we also buy sneakers that are made cheaply for hundreds of dollars all cause of a name given to em. .honest opinion though that mando and the blurrg do look good together though.
nice unboxing and review, keep this up and you guys are talking me into my first ever hot toy. lol. take care, have a safe and happy halloween and god bless to you and yours, my friend. my brother.
I just received one of these and the blurrg I got looks so much better than the one in this video. The seams are almost invisible. Maybe the paint filled up the gaps, I’m not not sure. The paint looks a lot less shiny than in this video. There’s a much more intense dark brown paint wash over the face. Maybe they fixed some issues later on during production?
If this were a statue it probably bothers me the seams and its toyish look but being a figure I think it's acceptable, as a matter of fact I actually didn't expect anything quite different.
It's good of you to point out the seams, Jorge. 'Interrupting' the video to call attention to them may spare disappointment among collector's that care about those kinds of details.
It would be cool if the tail came off. That way if you displayed it in a cabinet in a certain way you wouldn’t need to see it and it would fit better. Other then that a seam seems lazy.
Never liked the way the Blurg looked. Should have made it a four legged creature. That being said it does look pretty cool the way you posed it with Mando blocking the back have of its body. 🤟
You can't really "fill in a seam" not with something like this anyway. It's part of the manufacturing process. You couldn't get the mouth looking as good as it does without a seam. Perhaps they should have made the mouth articulate.?
Seen this in person at LACC and let’s just say it’s pretty far from any crappy toy you would ever purchase from Walmart, Target ETC.
At half price it would be acceptable but basically great looking toy.
I really like how you reviewed this. Really well done and you made several points that I haven't seen in other reviews. Subscribed!!

love the Blurrrg !!!! hope for 1/10 one day !
Dude, great video. Thank you for the close up detail and pose variety.
Looks great but I hear you on the cheap ‘feel’

So amazing display figure i wish black series make one too
I hope they make a Mudhorn figure. That'll be epic.

Thanks bro! Be careful with the Hot Toys rabbit whole lol. Happy Halloween!

I dont really care about the Blurg but Id love to see one of those mammouth the sand people had in the original movies.

Now medina is taking a bath with the toy lol
I can't blame him for that
HAHA! Rubber ducky you're the one. You make bath time lots of fun lol
the seam lines are just like on a black series figure. but its still cool
Very cool piece! Congrats! How much did the Mandalorian cost?
Thanks! I bought the Mando back when it first came out. I think it was like $235 back then
How can I find the music you use at the end?
I purchased a license to use it
Aah so no way I can find it?
@@tomvanelst8069 well if you want to pay for it, check Envato. I think it’s called Bounty Hunter
It would’ve been better if they would’ve made it like a rubber material the skin

I like star wars, I like the collectable. But can 't afford them.
I just saved some money 💰 thx
I will wait until have a discount code and free shipping.
Looks like it's made from vinyl and not out of a resin sadly.
Great observation, those seem lines definitely effect how much I’d be willing to spend on this.
Jorge I feel you need to peaky blinder your hair 🤷🧐
HAHA!

This is some lazy work by HTs.... Jaw and tail doesn't even move. But the gaps and seems are horrendous...
Nice but quality is lacking, kinda looks like a high end squeaky toy. Sideshow is laughing all the way to the bank on this one.
Yeah I agree! That is is exactly how I feel about this one. All its missing is the squeaky sound lol
