I've seen Fallujah 5 times now, the last time back at the beginning of September with their touring vocalist, Monte. Gotta say, he really brought more energy than Alex had the past 2 times I had seen them with Alex back in 2015-2016. First thing I noticed is that Monte actually screams the words to the songs, whereas Alex had sort of mumbled the syllables in a mashup together depending on the lyrical verses. The band even said that they literally woke up and within half an hour had to perform this set, which may explain why everyone looks so wickedly tired haha.
it's just not the voice of alex that i miss, it's also his personality. saw them a few times in austria and always had a chat with him. he's such a nice guy. probably the most down to earth musician i ever met. also his musical contribution was 1/2 of fallujah's identity. this guy ain't too shabby, but alex was the fit the most
Just saw Fallujah with Decapitated and Thy Art Is Murder and HOOOOOOOOLY FUCK it was the greatest concert ever everybody killed it and was on point but this video does not do them justice
I almost went to that show. I had to choose between it and Summer Slaughter because I could only afford one. I went to Summer Slaughter to see Origin. Glad I did too because this vocalist does not hold a candle to Alex. What do you think about what happened with Decapitated on this tour? o.O
Keith Cambra when I saw them Monty did a great job, and if Decapitated are guilty then that blows but people seem cool with Tim Lambesis being a criminal and still doing music so I mean if he can do it they can do it but in all honesty I think the person that is sueing them is just going like "Hmmm big time band time for some money!" But like I said people still listen to and support As I Lay Dying even tho he tried to kill his wife which to me is worse so good chance I'll still listen to em and say that they fucking destroyed that little venue I saw them in.

What really set this band apart was their music and Scott's brutal, yet ambient and ethereal guitar playing. His style is soooooo slick and he can pull a note out to eternity. I think of his sound as if david gilmour of pink floyd were a guitarist for a death metal band!

Haarfagr did you only watch one song or something? In the very first song i understood a lot of what hes saying. In the other songs there are some points where theres very little articulation but most of show hes awesome.

Fallujah is a great band, indeed! Their new front man is not as bad as some of you guys clearly stated. On some parts he did a really great job. However, something did sound terrible there on various parts: Perhaps the way the sound was engineered didn't make the vocalist a favor at all, quite the contrary! The voice was too loud and covered the instruments in a way that hinders any extreme metal performance and, in turn, impinges on the overall listening experience, leaving the listeners with a bad impression.
at a loss for words... a tech death band that can actually play their songs live... and play with clarity... and still have a stage presence.
