There are great videos and very informative. I just got into Bolt Action a couple months ago and I have learned a lot. Thank you for taking the time to make them and I look forward to seeing more.

I really like your videos, i think your one of the best bolt action channels on youtube. I use the selow heights theater selector and i take a isu-152, katyusha and a free su-76 instead of the free squad. I was a little surprised the is-2 wasnt on your list. Heavy tank with a heavy anti-tank gun/medium howitzer. 1 hull mmg, 1 co-axil mmg, turret rear mmg and pintle hmg for 320pts regular. It does get the slow load rule.

I thought i would make my own neat list of top picks. Why not.
    Nr 1 pick: BA-20 car.
With the recce & flamer it's the best car, probably the best vehicle in the game.
2nd best soviet vehicle is the T-28.
It can sprinkle pins on 5 different units at once.
    3rd: quad-mount AA truck.
4 MMGs for a good price.
    4th: t-34 tank, and t-34-85
I thought I would put those two mediums on 5th place.

My favorite looking tank of all time is the T-35, followed by the T-28, then the ISU-152. Glad you see two of them made the list! In the grand scheme of things... where would you say the T-35 would fall on this list? #15? #25? May have to buy one for the looks alone, but would love for it to be even marginally viable in an early-war game 😆

ComradeQuiche Airsoft Unfortunately the T-35 has Unreliable which is kind of a deal breaker for a tank that expensive, as you’ll likely struggle to get it activated and when you do, youll be missing shots due to hit modifiers from pins. BUT that is a lot of dakka and it could be fun to use and roflstomp an opponent who cant react to it

@@HollywoodWargaming Everytime I used it, it destroyed every infrantry and normaly you can hold it out the AT-arcs. In my army it's the game winner like everytime.

The BA3/6 is fun, with two legs and light AT gun is cheap and versatile. It also has recce, which can be very useful against ‘hidden’ armies.

What about Ba-20 with a flamethrower and Dakka Stuart? Those are actually top picks for competitive play

Su76i is a custom stug3 or panzer 3. Very easy to customise and looks great.

Hello! I love your video guides! Thnks a lot!
I am starting my soviet army and I really like glamethrowers. Could you please tell me what is better between BA-20 and KV-8? Are they any good? I dont see anyone using them…

BA-20. Lower investment and can get the Flamer into battle faster.

Really liking this videos. Very helpful info. Thank you. I just got the Soviet starter box and I’d love your input on how to build/equip the infantry squads... similar to the video you put out about British infantry. Any help would be appreciated!

•I've found 9 regular soviets with SMGs in a regular mmg truck to be a decent choice.
•I've found 9 regular soviets with SMGs on horses to be a nice choice also.
•Unlike veterans from other nations; the soviet veterans can take a hit from a flame thrower and re-roll that critical panic check if failed.
If there's one army you should take 11 veterans -instead of a common number like 8- it's the soviets.
•Our artillery spotters are really good at catching many squads at once.
I would lose against my friend's germans because he would move his veteran squads close together and form a loose blob.
I tried shooting them with my mortars but his guys would just dance 6" respectively and be in cover afterwards.
Charging them with my own soldiers was no use because he always got to oppertunity fire on them.
So I fielded two soviet Artillery Observers one day and he stopped making loose blobs of veterans.

I love taking the Berlin detachment for sovs and taking 2 quad maxims .... so tasty. If they made this an armoured car.... oh boy. The firepower is just too much to allow that I think.

Any thoughts on the OT34/85? (34/85 with a flamethrower). I think it's pretty overpriced myself.

you either go for OT34/76, or T34/85. both are cool on their own, but trying to put everything in one tank (OT34/85) is going to hurt when it gets blown up and you lose 1/3 or 1/4 of your whole list's points. i personally use a OT34/76, had no problems with its performance
