Went on this ride as a ten year old with my parents and sister thinking it was gonna be a fun slow ride showing dinosaurs. I wanted to be a paleontologist back then and sat in the front next to my sister very excited to see all the creatures I loved. When I got off the ride I was sobbing, shaking, and soaked and I no longer wanted to be a paleontologist.
I remember riding this with my parents when we went to Universal Studios in the early 90's. I remember the raptor cage drop to this day and how all of us were convinced it would fall on us. It was AWESOME. I'm so happy to see this ride is still operating to this day. It's a classic!
It's hilarious because I'm from Spain and I was there in 1994 with my parents and my sister too, this is the first time I watch it again since then. Now I'm 38.
My dad an I did this on a fall trip to Orlando back in the late 90’s. He woke me up early that morning to get there before the crowds. We ended up being the only two people in the boat.
One of my favourite life memories happened on this ride. My family were trying to decide where or not to go on the ride, and my sister said “It can’t be that bad, you don’t hear them scream for long”.......well we soon found out that was because you couldn’t breathe as the drop was so long and fast! 😂
@Ella Reimann No thanks! 😆 My brother in law went on it, and described how he nearly lost his glasses, and couldn’t reach his hand up to put them on because of the g force!
Imagine one stupid kid escapes from that thing and he or she discovered a dinasour which is actually the one the park really made it with DNA 😂 Plot for another Jurassic World 🤣😜
I have a bittersweet relationship with this ride. As a kid, I was terrified of roller coasters or anything of the sort, but my family made fun of me saying it was just a little boat ride, but I knew better. Needless to say, they were all shocked when we got to the T rex part 😂
I hate every ride that has a drop the feeling I get I hate it soo much and it almost kinda hurts my mom makes fun of me for it sometimes they trick me into getting into there’s boat rides that have “no drop”

We could afford it back then, but now it would take gas money/food/hotel expenses, all before even getting to the park. But, it's not an option now anyway because many reasons, including the nearest park being in another state. Enjoy your youth and family while you're young, it doesn't last. Thanks for providing these videos for those of us who are the never weres.
Whoever manages the Jurassic Park in Orlando has indeed taken care of and well maintained the animatronics of this ride. They almost look as good as when I saw them back in 2002 and 2003. Someone needs to hire these folks to oversee the new Jurassic World exhibit coming later this year.
@@Dragonk116 Yes, but I'm really impressed with what they did with the Indominus Rex animatronic just before the big drop at the end. The way they made the I-Rex move without looking like it was on a rail system is an amazing engineering feat in of itself. Though they could've added some fog effects to cover up where the T-Rex lunges out of the darkness.

As a child , when I got on the Singapore version I wasn’t expecting a hard drop so my father told me to look at the direction we were gonna fall while holding my hand tightly ....I screamed....really really loudly .....
