What a great video giving so much explanation about everything from a professional hair stylist. So good for those new to the curly girl world. Also for those with experience looking after their curls but still like as much information as possible, especially about products: which, and how/when to use and their ingredients etc.
I'll be sharing with others in my local Australian curly groups whenever I'm interacting with them (but this video more useful later in our Summer, come December). However I would like to know if you point out when any products you mention aren't Curly Girl Method (CGM) friendly or not? That's because some groups only stick the the Curly Girl Method and don't want you mentioning anything not CGM friendly. It won't matter for groups that are more flexible.
If you do mention non CG products but don't think you will always be checking and mentioning they're not CGM friendly that would be useful to know as well. Then when I recommend your channel, or just an individual video like this, I will have to give the caveat that you may mention non CG stuff and they'll need to double check for themselves.
Yours will be a great channel to share as most social media curlies are quite young, so someone older with experience of the effects of age on hair, like thinning is a great addition to the list of curly creators people follow. You're a similar age to me and have thinning and growth/hair loss issues, not just due to age (medical issues and medications affecting hair) so it's great to see someone who talks about hair loss with age etc. as the younger curly creators don't. They might mention hair loss events, but always assume it's for those who are still fairly young so don't address it fully like you.
Thanks for you content, I hope you channel builds in views/subscribers so more curlies will benefit from your advice in future as the algorithm starts to recommend you more and more widely to reach as many as possible.

Deva was my first dive into the curly world in 2003 after my daughter was born. I am also Deva Certified. I was never a die hard devotee to the CGM. Lol!
@@coilsandcurls Many aren't die hard anymore either, We have 3 big nationwide fb groups, one very strictly CGM and women only, the other CGM all genders to teach and help others with CGM but friendlier/more casual about it. So, while sticking to CGM really, this 2nd group will refer people who want to talk about non-CGM stuff to the 3rd group (that the admins and many members are also in anyway) where you can do that (even including straightening), although CG gets mentioned a lot of course.
