Shower drain partially blocked, you will need a plumber to clear it. A lot of the issues are just cosmetic but a lot of work for you. I have always had old houses that were dirty and needed painting but you can do it over time. Great job. Watching from Queensland, Australia
Such a grateful lady. You deserve the best life my lovely x❤
My house was very much like that when I moved in. Like you, I’d viewed it several times before but it’s hard to see all the filth and the defects when it’s full of other people’s furniture and belongings. Plus the fact that it was summer so all the doors and windows were open so I didn’t notice the smell. You did a grand job anyway, hope you will be happy in your new home.
If it’s a rental property the landlord is responsible for repairs
My mutual exchange needed a lot of cleaning and work too. Good luck with it. Mines beginning to get there a year on.
Mine agreed to deep clean as well but never did! Only found out it was still gross when I moved in. Sending understanding!
I wish you all the best in the future adventures
Yup,like you, I also have fibromyalgia and did an exchange with similar issues. The cleaning housing wont do but the repairs they will. Since I moved in here I have had a month's worth of repairs, and they are still ongoing. Also check your rendering and fans as housing will do this. I'm finding I have very little energy to do stuff once the property is complete then it's on to the garden. I'm trying to do bits and pieces. The previous tenant left me with 2 rotten sheds. My family helped me take the one down the other one will have to wait till they come back down to take the other down.
Your doing an awesome job xx
The noise from the shower is because its got a pump to drain it .
Get the shower house and push it in the drain and turn it on, the power of the water flow will hopefully unblock it x
Wonderful video, those rubber gloves are great, what brand are they
I couldn’t have waited 8 days before cleaning the most important rooms. Toilet, bathroom
Didn't the housing not, put new flooring and tiles in there? Or a decorating grant
It's the pump that is making that noise, nothing you can do about it..
Keep complaining they will do something if it’s social housing they have a duty to repair things and so does a private landlord looking much better now though well done xx
I think it’s shameful that a housing association thinks it’s acceptable to hand over a property in such a dirty condition. If the can’t afford to deep clean it they should do a deal with the prosecution service and get offenders to do it for their community service. Good luck with it all.
I have lived in my Housing Association home for nearly 37 years in Northern Ireland, and I'm horrified by the way mainland Britain's Housing Associations are run. This wouldn't be tolerated where I live, and our social landlords do have problems also. Stand your ground, seek legal advice from Housing Rights charities, Citizens Advice and your local MP. Keep being a nuisance to them by contacting them EVERYDAY complaining about the previous tenant and the HA appalling disregard by ignoring legal obligations in relation to the dire state of the property. If all else fails shame everyone involved by going to the local media. All repairs are the sole responsibility of the landlord if a previous tenant has abused the property. Show your MP and HA these clips that you have posted on YT. Sending my love and best wishes to you and your boys. You are definitely a hard working mum trying to give you and your boys security and stability. ❤
Sadly, I've learnt the hard way that this is a very normal accurance.
Mutual exchange is a bit different as the property is not voided and cleared out before the next tenant and u have to agree to the state of the property as it is. Of course though the council or HA will make structural and essential repairs once moved in.
It's because it is a mutual exchange rather than the housing association housing them with a new tenancy.
Where is this house 😊
How vile 😢... such a shame😢
Housing accusation did this to my daughter
didnt you check every area of the house before you moved. you MUST have seen it.
It’s not always possible when it’s full of the previous inhabitant’s belongings. I also had a homebuyers survey on my house and he didn’t pick up a lot of issues that I found after I’d moved in.
Its disgusting how can they let people take this on whos the landlord mines bad but god
It's housing association
You should of got your housing to do a deep clean first
They've told me it not their responsibility
