- Shortly before he passed away, Sir Ken Robinson called Andrew Park - Founder of We Are Cognitive to arrange a gift for his beloved community - A new animation, based on what proved to be his last public talk, ‘My Thoughts for The Call to Unite’.

In his final years, Sir Ken Robinson was working on his Manifesto 'Imagine if... : Creating a Future for Us All' (now available: www.sirkenrobinson.com/imagin..., a searing new book that would serve as his manifesto on creativity and education. Written for both new and dedicated audiences alike, it’s a coherent overview of the arguments that he dedicated his life to, and a pivotal piece of literature for the education revolution he began. Shortly before he passed away, Sir Ken asked his daughter and collaborator, Kate Robinson, to finish writing this manifesto and to continue his work.
At its core, Sir Ken’s work is a love letter to human potential and a celebration of what we are capable of achieving and being as a species, if we create the right conditions. Imagine if... is a rallying cry to revolutionize our systems of education, and the ways in which we run our businesses and structure our social systems, to bring out the absolute best in everyone.

I have been a great fan of Sir Ken Robinson for many years and totally agree with his thoughts and can relate to his views based upon my education and career journey in education. It was a very sad day when Sir Ken moved on to the other dimension and I prey that our education systems change in line with his vision.

my apologise in my ignorance with sir ken passing and did not mean any offence however my point would still remain the same as for haven a figure head to voice all our concerned and our ideas. For me the future of teaching should engage all our needs and cater to our style of learning. but am sure many have this belief

As a third generation biodynamic farmer and someone involved in starting a school, I would like to thank Kate / We are cognitive for continuing Kens work. The reward from natural farming and democratic schooling is connection, Love and a powerful sense of belonging.
I see and read many accolades for him. The next natural question for those showing appreciation for his message is “ what am I now becoming? What can I do, and I am doing, to make a difference in others lives for now and in the future for others?”

I love my teacher, Sir Ken Robinson. He was a real educator. He was the most sincere one I have run across in my education life so far. Rest in Peace.

How is it that I still follow Sir Ken even though I retired 15 months ago.A very special human being who remains influential and relevant despite no longer being with us. I gained hugely over a few decades under his vision and generosity in sharing it. Diolch

It's so fortunate to stumble across such wonderful content and Sir Ken Robinson indeed. Sir, thank you so much for the huge works that you have put up in spreading the knowledge.
His talk to teachers in 1980 riveted me. I went on to develop group string teching thereon. Great fun . Good results but not in terms of assessment of individuals but in his organic peer group learning philosopy 😅 based on Suzuki / Paul Rollands pedagogy of movements and language patterns A famiy based movement took up our spare time with great stimulus.

Beautiful thoughts and inspiring talk. Teachers in US are not motivated to teach with passion because they’re stressed from economic burden. I think government should make it mandatory for top 1% of income bracket individuals to pay extra taxes that would only go for teachers and schools. Teachers are leaders of the next generations and it is the society’s responsibility to support them well, so they can continue teaching with passion and time. Industrial revolution only cares about quantity, not quality. It’s the same in medical profession. Doctors are not rewarded for their true quality of care, but the quantity regardless of quality. These changes are doomed to fail.
I'm based in Argentina ( although a friend of Ken's from Liverpool) and i totally agree with you. It's dire here and nobody cares. I've always said that those high earning Movie and Sports stars should do similar......
@@ssnhillyard I am not a teacher but I see how my son’s school is losing good teachers due to economic reasons! I cannot imagine how rich people sleep at night in their $15 million yachts and not give a damn. The excessive money they have is a reflection of gross inequality in our society. I hope the wave of awareness Sir Robinson generated can wash away the gap and help the future generations!

I wonder what he would think of the abomination mankind has condoned through lack of education in science, nature, finances etc? We are looking to unruly government, beaurocrats and self appointed world leaders.
We need to make the change.
Our governments are futile and insignificant and have been usurped.

(i don5 know how to direct message sir ken so i will put it as a comment and would be nice to see other people thoughts and input on this) i have close to the same beliefs in terms of the education. But my reasons is for the way that people are (not just kids in school) are tort.
Its been for a few years that i had these feeling and thoughts. As i see there are many things that could or should be improved to benefit the world or society. As for this revolution in education ..... well why do you not create a platform or a group for this.
I know if i could i would ..... But you (sir Ken) have something i or many do not have .... influence. If one is brave enough to lead many will share that burden and follow. I do hope that thus reaxhes you
