Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.1 is Here & Brings Some Highly Anticipated Features!

- CDPR just gave us a brand new surprise update in Cyberpunk 2077, called update 2.1 which is bringing some highly requested features such as the Metro system, improved boss fights like Adam Smasher who now uses a sandevistan and looks to be much harder, new cars, new motorcycles and a huge motorcycle update, a portable radio, romance hangouts and even more!
But we also go over even more 2.1 info, including new game plus, Cyberpunk Orion, flying cars, the new ultimate edition which has a release date on the same day as update 2.1 (December 5th).
This update is huge especially since Phantom Liberty only released a couple of moths ago.

Props to CDPR for not only not giving up on this game but over delivering with these clutch updates.
they havent even delivered on the original marketing or interviews, the game is still only 50% of what they told us to expect throughout all the interviews etc etc, the fun fact the game plays like its got a parental lock on 99% of the play through is also a pretty big elephant in the room, they brushed aside, after playing it up in interviews and even using the trailers to focus on basically 99% of that 1% like its just a taste of things to expect... yet when the game drops... nope its a pg13 sanitized experience and the outright lied. instead the mod community had to do the work to try make the game something that doesnt resemble a kids game even for something as simple as driving around....
you would have thought with the over priced DLC the devs would have just tried a little bit to deliver on the goods they hyped up so much pre-release... yet they didnt even touch it with a 50 foot pole, they extended the pole another 50 feet...,
so again the mod community is trying, but by comparison the mod community working on Bethesda games have it better... and thats not a comparison a dev would want if they are trying to make it look like they are making amends... because if a company like Bethesda which is shameless for offering its middle finger to its mod community... yet they are doing better... yea... whats that say about this cd prjekt red?
i also played the latest DLC, though i grabed it for free... not supporting frauds and i was immediately disappointed by how little had changed, sure many bugs are fixed, but all in all its just adds some paste to the the hole that hasnt been filled in yet with all thats still missing or otherwise not implemented well, like the cop system just a lazy copy/paste from GTA5... that stuff is cringe mobile phone arcade quality, you can kind of get away with in in GTA5, but cyberpunk 2077? its feels cheap and lazy. ..
if we want to compare a proper redemption story that would would be NMS... i bought the game just to support the devs, no interest in the game personally... meanwhile the $$$ that would have gone to buy the DLC, i donated it to a popular pirate ship who i often use for showing my support for devs that have earned it, much like CDPR.
better to fund skull and bones, then devs which havent learnt their lesson and dont listen or learn.

@@jmmywyf4lyflied. Didn’t lie. Idk. I liked the game when it came out and I like it even more now after the updates. Just happy to see developers putting work into a game after its rough start. Guess I’m just easy like that.
@grownmangamer942 It cut deeper because of who it was that did it.. cdpr seemed to be one of, if not THE last developer that gaf.. like bioware before them, blizzard, rockstar, and countless others, those days are gone! The all mighty dollar (and shareholder) are who cdpr works for jow, unfortunately.
They were the ONLY company, I would have even considered pre ordering from (a practice I simply do not condone), and this was how my support was rewarded.
Customizable chrome cosmetics could be a great addition to the game - like in arasaka arms mod, but ingame, so you don't have to reinstall the mod each time you wish to switch arm prosthetics, or add some new batou-like eyes, etc. Maybe expand the character editor with new options, or something.
Also CDPR really needs to rework API for lists of objects like items, clothes and character editor elements and vehicles, since modders really struggle to add new items to the game, and have to replace the original objects instead. It's kinda silly if you ask me.
You might wanna recheck those mods man there are so many mods that are standalone now including clothing and vehicles

I expected Saints Row 2 levels of customization from Cyberpunk 2077. I was really disappointed when that wasn't the case. I desperately need accessoires slots. NPC's have such cool jewelry and we can't wear ANY of it.
New game plus is the only thing keeping me from replaying for a fourth time. I’m super happy how my latest play through went and it’s gonna be hard to do everything all over again to just experience new boss fights

I'm loving how the Adam Smasher fight looks. It was kind of a bummer when I xp farmed for the whole game just to have a cool fight with him but ended up easily click spamming him with my katana.
Its best that u stop at level 45. Equip sand (no hacks allowed) and only use melee when Adam charges at you
I'm sure they are saving NG+ for either a future patch or a planned "Legendary Edition". They pretty much have to do it to keep players occupied before their next game.
And of course they have to lie now and pretend like they arent thinking about it to preserve the surprise later.
If they do, theyd immediately get a lot of applause for it.
I legitimately do not understand people who want a NG+ mode. Just start a new playthrough. NG+ would just remove the fun process of actually building your V.

I love how they brought back the sandevistan in the Smasher boss fight that he has during the finale in Edgerunners
So cool I didn’t even know they did this until out of nowhere I had radio playing while walking around, Judy came over, and I saw metro stations everywhere. Cyberpunk is really close to what we were promised before, great save from CDPR, this game is a modern classic.
If they ever implement NG+ it would cause a massive upsurge in players.
Idc if they don't really scale up the enemies for higher enemies. Being able to take your hard grinded character back through the story and make different choices to get new weapons or other stuff.

@@torphurusagreed. I just made like 8 different characters instead and I don't do that in games. Cyberpunk is the only game I wanted to make multiple characters
One thing i would like to see, is weapon skins costumization. I collect a lot of weapon becauze they look cool with their unique paints and stuff, but i never use them because i have better variants of them(stat wise). It would be really cool if they did something similar to them like they did with clothings.
Being able to use Johnny's sandevistan during his combat memories would be cool too. Also the ability to get different cyberarm cosmetics, maybe skins for different weapons and such.

About the ennemy faction attacking you: I can confirm, they will randomly attack you. Either while you drive around, or RIGHT after a mission/gig/NCPD like you get out of the zone and they are right there.
Its actually cool.

The passion in CDPR devs is what makes me love them so much. Not only they managed to make Cyberpunk playable, but also they listened to countless of criticisms and fixed their mistakes or just improved existing features or added something new. I could not be any happier that it is CDPR specifically who took on the Cyberpunk franchise.
I’m hoping for a second and/or third dlc.

These updates look amazing. And yeah Smasher was always easy. Can't wait for my next fight.

All I need is FSR 3 so I can go back to playing, especially if they got the flying car mod back again.
The music keeps playing during fights if you mute the music in settings. This works as the radio music is its own slider separate from game music
With the races being added to CBP I can definitely see CD adding the death races back where you either do it with a random NPC, or you can invite your own partner like panam or even river, maybe they could bring Claire back for it, only time will tell
I REALLY HOPE that they make it so that everyone's sandi looks like smashers, I would LOVE to see the frames of v from a half second prior
_Cyberpunk 2077_ really went the way of _No Man's Sky_ and did a complete 180 from its release state. CDPR devs deserve all the love they're getting right now after being shafted by suits and their ridiculous schedule crunching.
I would really love if they could do DLC focused on the bozos, like if phantom liberty was about spying, maybe with the bozos Is More about an horror movie or something

@@jk-pq5ddyup, alot of gaming companies have that feature in their games. Like ghosts of tsushima, horizon zero dawn, and I believe one of the god of war games, just to name a few.
@@Navis-rd1tcwell, if CDPR listens to the gamers, then it should be happening, it's a feature we the gamers have been wanting since before it's launch in 2020. I'm not saying the metro isn't a good idea, but it's stated in the video, saying it the most requested feature, is incorrect. Besides the did it with the witcher should be easy enough to do in cyberpunk.
The one thing I'm still missing is a weaponized Delamain cab. During the heist when V and Jackie are in the Delamain cab trying to get away, there is a point where Arasaka drones come after you. There Delamain actually deploys a missile launcher from the trunk to destroy some of the drones. When you later gain access to one of Delamain's cabs that missile launcher is still visible when you open the trunk; yet CDPR never turned the Delamain cab into one of the weaponized vehicle options.
I really felt that was a missed opportunity and the Delamain cab should have been given a functional missile launcher. Now I don't need it to have machineguns or anything, but that missile launcher should have been made functional imo so that upon activating the weaponized mode it should have opened the trunk and deploy the launcher.
It would've made the Delamain a more worthwhile quest reward too. As is, it's just a free version of one of the cars the player can buy, but with a new texture and voice lines.

@@firehedgehog1446 Nah, the starter car is the "Hella something-or-other". The Delamain is a reskin of the pink car you can buy. I think it's called a Cortes, but I haven't really been trying to memorize the cars' names.
@@Mirthful_Midori You're right, that was my mistake, the Cortes looks so similar to the Hella so that's where I got confused. What I want is a weaponized sports car (maybe they should make that free Caliburn you can get after "Ghost Town" weaponized
(I'm thinking of building a sort of James Bond-esque spy character and I want a weaponized vehicle that's not a Nomad car. Now for all I know there may be something like that in PL, idk because I don't have it yet)
I have been genuinely enjoying my second ever play through since I bought the game when it came out
I remember my first fight against smasher was just me standing still and crit-ing him with an overture, healing everything I got hit.
yeah the faction chase happened to me yesterday I was so confused and it took me off-guard i was being chased by maelstrom.
The "New Game+" sounds great the only other thing I could see would be to add working AV's. Back in the day when we played CP 2020 getting our first AV was amazing.

I scanned Adam Smasher weakness, and it's electric. So I used a smart icon rifle with shock chance, and his lifespan went down pretty quick.
I'm hoping for a VR update. Just imagine how cool Cyberpunk would be if it was in VR

To me, this is the difference between CD Projekt Red and Bethesda. CD Projekt Red loves their customers and takes criticism seriously by working hard to fix what is broken. Not only fixing what is broken, but making it better. Being a Fallout fan, it saddens me to say that Bethesda has gotten lazy and condescending. You only have to look to their AI generated replies to their latest project.

Something I know they will never add but would be super cool is if they put customizable quickhacks in the game. Think spellcrafting from Morrowind/Oblivion.

I think the issue with flying cars is simply that it makes mission harder to set up so that they dont get exploited.

On the arch you could always do a wheelie kind of you gota hit break and rev engine and let off and your front wheel will pop up

Instead of ng+, Ghost of Tsushima made it so that players can redo missions. Cyberpunk could do the same. The option to redo a gig.

I just got a PC and had enough money for Cyberpunk 2077. And my god i love how everything looks. All the posters and little graffiti is super readable now, and everythg just feels great. Now to just learn how to get my PS4 saves to PC.
To be frank I think NG+ would only 'really' work with the 'surrender to arasaka' ending as a standard NG+, and 'The Tower' ending as an extremely hard new difficulty.

Ok, something I have wanted since I got them in cyberpunk is the ability to dual weild jackys pistols like, please, that would be such a cool feature since they basically just duplicate of themselves. Also yes please new game plus only thing I want from it is gear, carftying parts,and cyberware.

They can't really abandon the IP, the cyberpunk genre have their own music style and stuff. I also can't really blame em for the underdeliver, that's what happen when too much creativity is in one place... they lose the time to actually. Cyberpunk 2077 is like unfinish art, you can only focus on one thing at time. Big kudos to the dev for keeping the IP alive.

@@danny1229c It includes the full game and the DLC that's why they call it complete I'm assuming and as far as the update goes it should download as soon as you put the disc into your console

@@getdadoe5135 I want it too lmao. I think the main issue they said they had was balancing issues. Theres some sequences at the start of the game that rely on you not having certain things.

I don't want to watch this because I am very anti-spoiler for myself until after I've played, but I would ask... I have a 100% completed endgame save that I started the Phantom Liberty DLC with. Would it be better, now that these updates and major changes have occurred, to abandon it in favor of a new playthru? I am at the roulette/meet the twins part of Phantom Liberty.

i love that fact i bought the special edition cyberpunk xbox, it came with the game and upgrade but the upgrade doesnt work on it because its last gen lol
What you said about the portoradio and combat music - I agree, blasting ponpon shit while committing mass genocide does sound pretty alluring
Since 2.1 on Xbox update I haven't been able to do melee finishers. I push X but it won't do the finisher animation it just does a strong attack. Also the double tap Y to inspect button randomly stops working.
Sounds more like a "you" problem tbh...
I loaded into the game and was just riding my bike all of a sudden the voodoo boys drive up and attack me and then NCPD so yeah I made some friends lol
